Thanks, I missed trying 1-2 drinks but that was my favorite frozen one from last time.

As early as you want. 9am-9:30am. There will already be a line started for terminal entry. The boarding times are bogus.

I like the painchiller. Enjoy your time on that awesome ship!

Cabins were ready right at 1pm, luggage was waiting for us, this is an incredibly well run ship, especially for turnaround.
We unpacked, took a walk through the promenade, saw bbq chicken pizza for @dustfsu at Sorrento’s & the curried chicken salad on a croissant at Cafe Pomenade I liked (since they have the audacity to not serve tuna for @asquared17), then stopped at Pesky Parrot before heading back to the Solarium.
Definitely more people in here now but not overcrowded. It’s only 3pm but so far this 3N leg seems to have a much more relaxed vibe with more kids than last month’s 3N leg.
Painchiller from Pesky Parrot (minus the tiki glass)

We breezed through boarding & walked right on the ship before 10am again. It’s crazy empty so far.
Stopped in Mason Jar for my wife to drop off some gifts (her manager friend was all smiles & gave us each a hug).
Going to get my usual Moonlight first drink & wait for WJ to open.

Uneventful drive. Parked in the lot around 9:35; front row again. The garage was open this time.
Terminal doors not open yet so @Hoppy2BHere is probably watching us wait here in the 10:30am queue just behind the suite/key/pinn queue.

Agree, once you sail the Med it’s something you will want to see again and again. I’m done with Mexico.

Haha. I agree, the new leadership under Liberty would burn this guy in a second but it would be such a bad look for the company. This guy is the # 1 and literally is the living definition of Royal Caribbean loyalty. Tossing Mario to the curb has some consequences attached to it. Could the company ever have the audacity to hold another loyalty tier party? All that crap the captain, hotel and cruise director (including the orchestra) spew out to the crown and anchor members would all be set ablaze.

While Super Mario is a great an interesting story to some of us the 'time and resources' from the company is less than the equivalent of you dropping a penny over the side of a ship and they wouldn't hesitate to burn him to improve the bottom line.

This is true. Since they decided to do the Oasis class 3/4 voyages it’s been Perfect Day and Nassau overload for us.

This consistency is the reason we cruised on Odyssey for the last 7 days of our 15 day vacation. After a week of planes, trains and automobiles it was really enjoyable to be able to be in a place that felt familiar. The kids were relieved to be back on Odyssey after all the walking (Rome was hot!) and they love the sports plex. We are 100% doing this again next year.

Even the Caribbean from FL becomes repetitive but there’s one huge difference between FL and California ports of call. The water in the Caribbean is useable year round unlike the cold waters of the Pacific or Sea of Cortez that are literally bone chilling cold. Cabo has beaches but the waves are so violent that it becomes a place to bask in the sun rather than a place to actually use the beach.

If Liberty has his way, Super Mario stands to lose his posh poolside office.

They've been working on improving their ships and private destinations. Carnival's problem is that they've become dependent on being known as the cheap fares and fun times cruise line. To make an amusement park comparison, Carnival targets the Six Flags market (unlike Royal who's targeting Disney's and Universal's). Or to make a New Orleans Mardi Gras comparison, Carnival has gotten the mindshare of being the cruise line you sail because you're looking for a wild party on Bourbon Street, but on the high seas, not Family Gras. Now this might not be true across their entire fleet and itineraries offered, but it doesn't matter if the bookings aren't happening from the people you really want to book aboard their ships. i.e. Less fighters with fatter wallets.

It would still be a disaster though. The amount of time and resources the company has burned through to essentially make this guy an unpaid brand ambassador would all be tossed into a dumpster fire.

It’s a nice place but not a nice place if you have this idea of enjoying the actual ocean.
