  1. There are typically 2 formal nights on a 7-day cruise - usually your first and second to last sea days or a day when you're in a port where the ship departs earlier in the evening/late afternoon. They're never on the last night of the cruise as people are busy packing. Formal night isn't enforced much anymore and I think it typically just applies to dining in the MDR versus the other venues throughout the ship. I know guys can rent a tux (or the used to be able to) on board but I'm not sure about attire for the ladies if she wants to dress and forgot to bring formal or dressier attire...you can also tell which are going to be the formal nights by reviewing the MDR menu in advance on the app - typically the nights there is Lobster or Beef Tenderloin are your formal nights. I hope this helps! Enjoy!
  2. So Starbucks drinks are NOT included in the package? I thought I read on someone's live blog that they used their package to get specialty coffees at the on-board Starbucks?!
  3. How was traveling on a cruise with little ones? I'm considering bringing our son next year on one for a week - he'll be 4.
  4. I remember they always seem to ask for "false teeth" - so one time, I just happened to be studying for an A&P final and had a picture of teeth and I brought that to the host - they were impressed and awarded us 'creativity points!' LOL - If they ask for a "thong" you could show a pair of flip flops as another example! Such a fun game!
  5. We did in/out of Seattle as that was cheaper for our flights but Vancouver was one of our stops so we got to enjoy both destinations. I've spent land vacations in Vancouver before sailing there - it's a wonderful city and I highly recommend trying to check it out!
  6. YAY - Congrats! I'm sure you will enjoy it!
  7. I would think they would be up by now. Try logging out and then back in again. And as KristiZ said try a different browser and/or the app! I hope it works for you!
  8. I don't remember the last time I was on a cruise that had the leather folders...pre-COVID for sure...
  9. Yes, transportation is always included to/from the ship to the best of my knowledge either by tour bus or shuttle. They arrange everything for you so you don't have to worry about multiple vendors and worrying about the time!
  10. They will definitely wait for you. Our bus (entire excursion which included transportation to/from the port) broke down on the way back from a winery so we stayed at the winery until another bus could come and get us...this took hours but the ship waited for our group to get back safely!
  11. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/oasis-of-the-seas/things-to-do Scroll down to 'dining' - the list is long! Enjoy! When you log into the Cruise Planner and select 'dining' you can also see all the options for the specialty restaurants (Giovanni's, Chef's Table, 150 Central Park, etc) that cost extra - I think the CP is the easiest way to see the menus. You can view the MDR menus closer to your sail date in the app too. Chef's Table, Windjammer, El Loco Fresh, Portside BBQ, Johnny Rockets, Dog House, Chops Grille, Solarium Bistro, Room Service, Sugar Beach, Cafe Promenade, Starbucks, Giovanni's Table, Sorrento's Pizza, Coastal Kitchen, Park Cafe, Vitality Cafe, 150 Central Park, Main Dining Room, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi. I hope this helps.
  12. I think the app is easier, especially when adding a photo to your profile if you choose to do that in advance...
  13. I would keep checking the app and then go to the check-in desks for these activities on boarding day - they will likely put you on the stand by list as ScottD said!
  14. I'm really enjoying your posts and the pictures are wonderful!!! Hope you're still having a blast!
  15. Second Dinner - LOL! Definitely a good thing to keep in mind. We're a fan of eating early too - mainly for digestive purposes but also like being able to make the early shows and then drink at venues around the ship before bed.
  16. YES! I plan on doing room service a few times next week to enjoy the balcony even more! Thanks!
  17. Cruises in January tend to be less expensive - at least out of the US after New Years and when school is back in session. Sometimes there are on-board promotions for suites as well. My parents booked a junior suite during their last cruise at the Next Cruise desk and paid the same price for it as they would have for a balcony! Maybe they just got lucky though, IDK.
