I like it and I hope Royal follows suit. I usually hit the jogging track at around 6am and would see a large number of people go, place a book or something on a chair then leave. I've had some fun with it and at times have moved the belongings slightly on the chair, something obvious to me that I can tell the items hasn't been moved when I come back later (i.e. the top right corner of it touching the rail of the chair at a 45 degree angle). Some people don't come back to well after lunch

The port is not great at all. With that being said, there are some interesting excursions to take through RC. We enjoyed the rafting in Marta Brae with beach break (yes red stripes on the beach). I find the port to be sketchy at best and would advise you do not venture out on your own.

Absolutely. Just go to the Maragaritaville there at the port.

I always look at my booking confirmation. It’s not a guarantee but it does tell me what night formal night is supposed to be on.

I'm don't believe you can view the dress days in the app before your cruise.  I usually look at posted cruise compasses from the same ship to get an idea.  They generally will be the same if the itinerary is the same.

You can very easily avoid the open air market and those sellers.  They are all wearing orange t-shirts.  The other shopping can be more enjoyable.
It's like a restroom in a castle.  You don't know it stinks if you just don't visit it.

That's me I''m so over packing suits to wear on cruises, when I'm on vacation I don't want to wear a suit I wear one to work everyday when I'm not working from home.  On cruises I pack some nice jeans and button down shirts and of course fancy shoes to wear to dinner every night.  I think I stopped wearing suits on cruises in 2017, I get some people love the formality of formal night and I did enjoy it for quite some time. I took my first cruise ever in 2008 but by 2017 I was over it, no more wearing 2 piece suits on cruises for me.

RichCruise7 reacted to karl_nj in Dining Package prices for Children that want to select from Main Menu, not Children's Menu
I tend to get stressed out about this kinda of thing too, but I think your best bet is to just book the dining package as a child for your daughter and not worry about it.  They will likely just give her the adult menu anyway.  If not, have her order from the adult menu.  Basically, just play dumb.
In the unlikely event that they push her towards the children's menu, just mention that has been no issue with your daughter ordering from the adult menu in the main dining room, so you don't understand why this is a problem now.
To be honest, I don't think the wait staff is going to care.  They just want you to be happy and for you to give them a "10" on the survey.  Making your daughter sad isn't going to keep you happy and certainly won't make you want to rate them a "10".
If you feel a little guilty about it, do what an American would do—add a little extra tip at the end to partly make up for the "deal" you just got.
If I'm totally wrong and you do need to talk to the customer service folks onboard to "upgrade", I think you have a very good argument to just pay the difference between the price you paid for your daughter, and the price you paid. Bring a copy of the email receipt.  But I doubt things will get that far.

The minute we stepped foot on Coco cay there was this awesome vibe, no wait actually before that when we docked. We watched us dock from the running/walking track and it was just this really cool vibe. I cannot tell you why or how but it was there. It was a vibe like "this is gonna be a great day" and it was. When you walk down the long dock and see the sign "perfect day at Coco cay" it's just awesome and welcoming of that makes sense. It was truly some of the most fun we have ever had. We had a 6 month old with us too which could be challenging but nope, he was great, he has fun, he was in the HUGE spray park with us. Great, great time. I hope I didn't over sell it, I'm just relaying our experience. We want to go back on Anthem in the dead of winter. Sail from the cold of NJ to Coco cay. We got burnt in August kinda bad. 🤣

Yes, it's pretty similar to the bars on the ship. The main pool bar is large, other bars like the one by Chill Beach are smaller.
They do have a signature frozen drink though, the Coco Loco.

Included options (I don't pay for food when I love what's already included)
There are 3 snack shacks - really good chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, and amazing funnel cakes.
Chill Grill/Skippers Grill - taco bar with freshly made tortillas (they also have burgers, dogs, salads, other sandwiches, etc. but I go for the tacos). Also, a good dessert hack... take 2 chocolate chip cookies to the soft serve ice cream machine and make an ince cream sandwich... then eat it quickly before it melts, lol.
Others can chime in about the pay options.

It was just the absolute best time we ever had on a cruise by far. It was just so much fun. The island is beautiful with so much to do. I cannot honestly believe how much we enjoyed it.

Great to hear. We're sailing on the 23rd Oct from Miami and are at Cococay on Day 2. Got two daughters (9 and 13) and I'm assuming they'll love it, just like we will!
Never been before, so just wondering if people had any advice or tips for our day? Best bars, places to eat, etc.

Now what I wrote earlier was before we even got to that huge, HUGE wading pool! That just topped everything off. I mean holy cow incredible. And HUGE! The Oasis lagoon was awesome too. Definitely coming back here more than a few times. Just so impressed and loved everything about this Island.
We want to come back in like January or February. It was a little too hot for my wife. She burns very, very beyond easily and bad. We sunscreened up and she is still burnt up a crisp. Sunscreen twice.
Oh by the way we were the only ship there today so that was a bonus.

I grew up outside Philly, so no comment on the "steak sandwiches", lol, but glad you enjoyed them. I've never actually tried one to be fair.
I don't get to eat Mexican much at home as my wife is picky so any all you can eat taco set up tastes good to me. Freshly making the tortillas is a nice touch though.
That said, what you missed were the "snack shacks." One is between the pool and Chill Island. There are also snack shacks in the water park and on South Beach.
They're really just small counter service places but they have great fried chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, and the aforementioned funnel cakes.
I like the chicken sandwiches how they come but one hack is to get a plain one and put the mozz sticks and marinara on top for a chicken parm sandwich.

We have been trying to get to Coco cay since before this miserable pandemic and we are finally here on Oasis. This could not be better and cooler. I watched, we watched a million videos of this island and none of really prepared us for how freaking awesome it truly it. Kids are having a blast and there is no better value on vacations at all. We will be back here on Oasis or anthem and probably both. This splash away bay is just amazing. The dump buckets are just so much fun. This vacation was worth every penny even with a 7 month old which can be a bit challenging at times. 9 year old is having the time of his life. Just loving this! Loving this!

What's the situation re proving you've tested neg for Covid at the port/ship? Where do you have to show this? If they check at all??
Obviously to get into America you no longer need to test, etc. However you do if unvaccinated to get on the ship. Can they refuse entry if you have a member of your party that hasn't tested and is unvaccinated? Has anyone one come across anyone who has just forgotten to test?
