  1. The comment above mine is not true. Most people don't even carry the cup around. You only need the cup if you are using the freestyle machines, because it has a chip that activates the machine, BUT you can show you pass to any bar or server and get any drink you want and it will still be included on your package. The bars will serve you a soda or any drink they have in a glass or cup and then swipe your card, see that you have a package and your'e good to go.
  2. I'm on the 1\29\23 sailing.... my reservations are still showing in the cruise planner, I just cant change them or add to them at all. I'm actually calling about another dining issue I'm having, so when I do, I'll inquire about this too.
  3. Strange--I booked dinner on the Solarium on my cruise in January (Oasis) and now when I go on to try to add another reservation or change the one I have, I can't do it. I then got an email saying my reservations for that dinner is now canceled.
  4. And don't forget-its 7 of anything! so even if you aren't a heavy drinker (up to a year ago, 7 would have been pre- dinner for me!), a few other things make it worth while. A latte in the morning, an energy drink, a milkshake or smoothie, a few sodas or fresh juices, any of these plus a few beers...boom. You made out.
  5. I have MTD and have 645 reserved for basically every night (we have 2 later ones reserved just to change it up) but the more I think about it, the more I realize that 645 is going to make attending the shows, at least the 8\830 ones pretty difficult. Should I (can I) change it to the set early dining time? Is it something I should call about now or just wait until I'm on board and just kind of make it work?
  6. The split beds and bunks looks much better- at least you have a little room to move that way.
  7. I WILL tip as an adult getting some drinks and services... I will not make my kid do the same (and I don't think a bartender would expect it)
  8. It basically means you could have opted out if you did the set dining time, but since you did my time dining you wouldn't have been able to opt out- you prepaid so you won't see the daily charge- but you would have if you did not pre pay.
  9. YMMV is the one that I was totally lost on and had to google last week!
  10. These are hilarious...especially love the one with the 3D glasses. Lol.... are these on other ships?
  11. Well it goes back and forth...it's sailing out of Miami for our sailing in January/February. I guess winter months in Florida, warmer months in NJ?
  12. The streaming service would work just like anything else as long as you have internet access on the ship- whether it's youtube, netflix or XM, it'll work if the connection is there. NOW doing it strictly with a portable satellite radio and relying on the actual satellite feed may be a bit iffy out mid-ocean
  13. I hope so...someone on Facebook just posted that they were NOT open for breakfast last week on Oasis. I'm going in January, and this is the one spot I was really looking forward to grabbing a quick breakfast burrito!
  14. I'm also from Philly (live across the street from the two famous cheesesteak spots, and run multiple cheesesteak facebook groups, lol) So I'm really looking forward to trying the cheesesteaks on the ship and on CoCo cay...as Research, of course! We are going to Coco cay for the first time this January, the very end of January. I know I'll enjoy it, as I'm not a huge fan of super hot beach days. But I worry that my wife and kid may find the water a bit too cool to enjoy. But we will see, either way- better than Philly in January!
  15. Here is a post I found on Facebook with pics of some of the actual food from the kids menu, you may have to join the group to actually see it...Royal Caribbean - Passenger Forum | Facebook
  16. I am sailing in January and was told to expect Cats to still be playing, so I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon.
  17. I've seen more posts and comments saying that you can,In fact, just go get the milkshake with the package and not have to order anything else.
  18. Wow..great reviews and making me more excited to check out this Ship in a few months! Nice to know that the kids can join at rising tide,my son is 11 and I'm sure he would love a Shirley temple or two while checking out the rising bar. We are on the fence about a Casita but I think we will go ahead and do it,bringing lunch out there to enjoy sounds like a great idea! Thanks again for the posts and pics!
  19. We are flying in a day early and staying a day after, so we booked near the airport for the day before- Clarion Inn Miami airport, free shuttle from Airport and apparently 10 bucks a person for a shuttle to the port in the morning. For the day we return, we decided to stay downtown, not far from the port at the YVES hotel. Seemed like a pretty cool location and the price was good.
  20. I am 5 months out and just finally saw all of the non- perfect day excursions pop up in the past few days
  21. We also booked the central park window for January. We didn't real care about having a balcony, but having that little extra room where the sitting area at the window is makes a big difference. We cruised about 15 years ago and had a promenade view room on another ship and loved it, so figure this will be just as cool. I do wish the windows opened so maybe we could hear the live music out there a little better, but I'm sure it will be awesome.
  22. I see it for mine.... it's on sale right now, but I did the math and it cost about 35 cents more to order them separately, so I did the DBP and will just hold off on the Voom until I decide whether I really want it or not.
