I do agree unfortunately.

I just still want to know why Michael Bayley promised all cruises starting August 8th would not require vaccination and Royal still hasn’t addressed that or apologized for the gross miscommunication.

I do have to agree that the wording of these announcements has been horrendous - starting with the “welcoming” the unvaccinated. I’m not sure that they could be doing a worse job.

RogerC1 got a reaction from RWDW1204 in What's better for a family - two connecting cabins or spacious ocean view room?
I'd have to go with two rooms. Like you said, two bathrooms is a must! And a little separation isn't bad. It might keep your sanity in tact a little longer 😆.

Unlike the public website where dates have mostly been removed the TA portal apparently still has references to cruises through Aug. 14 so the expectation is that there may be another announcement for cruises after Aug. 14.

RogerC1 got a reaction from CrimsonCruiser in "Not a problem" notification when checking in as unvaxxed
Even when the vaccine details option was there to upload it, you still had to take your vaccination card to the port to be allowed on. You weren't really required to upload it. So you should be good!

RogerC1 got a reaction from WAAAYTOOO in Uploading Vaccination Card
It just disappeared yesterday. Some are saying it has happened before, so no guarantee that it won't pop back up at some point soon. However, since Royal is currently working on their vaccine mandate, it could be intentional that it is gone. Just have to wait and see.

RogerC1 reacted to ChessE4 in Sales on Excursions
Even when there is a sale, not all excursions are on sale. Some are sold out. But buying in advance of cruise is better than waiting until you are on the ship. Good luck!

I started our check in today for our cruise next month and got this notification when I went in and ticked that each of us were unvaxxed.

RogerC1 reacted to AshleyDillo in Just another Covid Testing Question
When you use the tests purchased through the RC link you go through eMed for the testing anyways. Same tests but eMed sells different number of tests in a pack. Make sure you're purchasing the one that includes the proctoring session.

RogerC1 reacted to AshleyDillo in Just another Covid Testing Question
Emed sells the tests directly. They're the same tests you can get through the RC link through Optum. If you purchase the tests through either it includes the proctoring session in the price of the test. Super easy and convenient to do.

RogerC1 reacted to TXCruiser in Just another Covid Testing Question
We used the Binax ag tests (through eMed and not RC) because our flight to Spain was at 7 in the am on Friday with our cruise being on Sunday and we wanted to test prior to flying out of town. It was very easy and the nice thing is that we were able to run all the tests in parallel on our phones with the exception of my son who is a minor and couldn’t have his own account.
The cost of the online proctor is included and Aetna reimbursed $12 per test so it was pretty cheap all in at $13 per test plus shipping after the partial reimbursement.
Hope this helps.

RogerC1 got a reaction from CharmMicah68 in Whats the latest with removing the vax mandate? Thank you for the response!!!
Michael Bayley was promising all over Facebook that vaccination would not be required for adults beginning August 8th. Now the update doesn’t mention it at all. Very disappointing. I hope it gets updated again in the next day or two.

A genius answer.

I felt same way how surprised it was not part of the update.

RogerC1 got a reaction from CharmMicah68 in No More Pre-Cruise Testing for Vaccinated guests on voyages less than 6 nights staring August 8th!
Working on a song for Royal since they haven't released the guidelines yet. What do you guys think? I'm thinking to the tune of Addams Family (loosely).
Hey Michael Bayley,
I check your Facebook daily.
Then I check the website,
I think about it all night.
Then I check my email,
Nothing new that I can tell.
Maybe you could GIVE ME THE INFO ALREADY.
The ending is a work in progress. May be too aggressive.
