I'm on Quantum now, and the only difference from Ovation that I can tell is the signs are bilingual. I'm not sure if the Northstar is running at all right now, but there are complimentary and fee reservations. The ship is clean, the service is fantastic. I'd pick the itinerary I like best.

Aron_Ross reacted to Ampurp85 in Multiple 3Day dining package
@Aron_RossThey will have dining "deals" on board, but this will really depend on the load factor. If it is a holiday sailing, i.e Thanksgiving, the onboard deals won't compare to what you will pay in the cruise planner. However, if it is a shoulder season then you might get between 30-40% off but that's a gamble. It will be cheaper to add Izumi on the planner to your 3n pckg. Plus, you will be able to make your reservation right away for that one.

Want to say Allure is the only ship that has the donuts on the Boardwalk in the morning. From what I recall, they were the same style as the ones offered in Windjammer. Maybe offered some other icing flavors, still same base donut.

Well, I just got back from my first sailing with Royal on Freedom of the Seas. I may start another thread about my first impressions. As for my best bite in the Windjammer…the Butter Chicken!!
Some other really good bites.. the waffles which were made fresh minutes before, and the Lamb Shanks on the last night. Overall, the Windjammer was definitely better than what I had on my last cruise at the Lido Market place on Carnival Panorama.
And a big shout out to Richard from Jamaica who I think was a culinary supervisor.  He saw me take a lamb shank and recommended I apply gravy, which he said was made with the shank juices. I’ve never experienced that on a cruise ship and demonstrates the care and pride that goes into their food.

No, they are a full service travel company.  They do specialize in cruises (and Disney) which is helpful as they do know the ins and outs of booking cruises.

Well I am happy to report the weather cooperated for the most part. Coco Cay was cloudy with drizzle in the morning then the sun came out and was partly cloudy for the remainder.  So it was an almost perfect day at Coco Cay.
The worst weather was on sea day before we arrived at Nassau, most of that morning there were thunderstorms with lightning right outside my balcony. That was fun! Nassau had some rain for about 20 minutes when we got off the ship and cleared up for most of the day.

    Hi Matt,
You may have seen my name pop up recently on your last few weekly Q&As on youtube.  May 2nd will be mine and my girlfriend's first on Freedom of the Seas, and November 12th with Harmony of the Seas when I turn half a century old.  It was time for us to try a different cruise line other than Princess and Carnival.  Thanks to you, Royal Caribbean has started to become a slight obsession.
Your content started appearing often as I was doing research after booking Freedom and Harmony.  Before I knew it, I just had to subscribe, and I'm not one to easily subscribe to anything.  Your youtube content is so valuable, educational and I've learned so much about Royal Caribbean.  Next thing I knew, I started visiting your blog and just had to join.  And here I am!  It's amazing how much information there is from you and your members.  You can definitely bet on me spreading the word about your blog/channel and supporting when I can.
I look forward to your Monday live chats about..."the most important thing in the Whole Wide World, how many days till YOUR next Royal Caribbean cruise?"

I found some site that I never heard of before and it posted the weather for Cocoa Cay.  It noted that Tuesday May 3rd will be completely overcast with rain. What you just posted for me put my mind at ease and I know weather underground is a lot more reliable… Thanks!

We see current prices of excursions when we search excursions, and when our particular selection is displayed, the planner shows we already booked it.  Now when we are looking at Order History, we see what we paid but not the current excursion price.

NICE!!  I know I'm in the wrong thread but I'm doing a similiar itinerary for my 50th Nov 12 2022.  I am SO looking forward to it!!  We hit Aruba first then Curacao.  Ship stays in Aruba until 11pm and Curacao till 6pm.

Wow some interesting responses.  Thank you all for sharing. Once my sailing is complete, I will give you my thoughts on my best bite. 9 days to go before I board Freedom of the Seas!
