Canadian Cruiser reacted to rjac in Windjammer - how to pronounce?
I thought it was pronounced "that really crowded place where you get pushed around a lot near the buffet lines".😎

Canadian Cruiser reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in Windjammer - how to pronounce?
Lol! I believe the French inflection is all @Matt! 😆

Canadian Cruiser reacted to SpeedNoodles in Fresh Juices DBP
The MDR will have fresh juice, and I may be mistaken (because I haven't eaten there in years) but I believe you can ask for it in the Windjammer as well.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to OCSC Mike in What to wear when cruising in Canada? (Oasis of the Seas - June 5 2022 to Canada)
Jeans when it's 70... Matt is a true Floridian. 🙈

Canadian Cruiser reacted to teddy in Any one else getting the runaround from Royal about compensation for the allure of the sea not going coco cay on the 21 of April 2022
I want to read the post and understand, but it’s a giant wall of text.
Paragraphs would help.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to SpeedNoodles in Would anyone be interested in a Video/vlog of a drink in every bar Harmony of the seas?
I think Sheri from CruiseTipsTV something similar (but not quite exact) of these on Harmony.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to OCSC Mike in First Day On Board - Must Do's and Should Do's
Get food after that drink?
(I can't be the only one in a hurry to gain 10 lbs. on a cruise).

Canadian Cruiser reacted to recogneyes in Symphony vs. Allure
We have upcoming sailings on both Symphony and Allure. We have sailed Allure years back. We specifically chose Allure this time for the itinerary (Aruba and Curacao) and because we wanted to sail her again before she gets amplified. Nice to walk the boardwalk without the Ultimate Abyss slide; still has the donut shop amongst other things that could change when amped. We booked Symphony afterwards but if choosing one, right now, we would choose Allure.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to KJones in question re booking new cruise
You could post what sailings you're considering, and the members here can share current pricing information if they're booked on those same sailings.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to Marc Van Niekerk in CANADA> NO MORE PCR TESTS ! BREAKING NEWS
Quick update about return to Canada after April 1 and no test required.
I registered with ArriveCAN for DW and I however I did not pay super close attention to the spelling of my last name. On MOST of my identification my last name has a space in it, and this is true of my passport. My NEXUS card however has my last name without a space.
My ArriveCAN did not have the space and so while I was allowed to enter without any issue at the airport, I have now been getting daily check ins reminding me to be quarantining for 14 days. I am not truly required to do so as I am fully vaccinated but there is apparently no way for them to stop the system from contacting me. I will continue to answer their questions and take it as a lesson learned.
All my life I have had to ask people looking me up in their computer systems to check with and without the space in my last name so I should have known better.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to Lexster in Worst cruise ever
Someone else recently basically made the exact same complaint a few weeks ago. Another account that signed up just to complain. It's a little fishy, to be honest unless this person starts actually engaging otherwise.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to smokeybandit in Deluxe drink package, easiest way to order premium alcohol
I've had some really hot bloodies before. I was internally reminded of this later in the day.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to Pooch in Sea Pass description
Have you personally ever had a fraudulent charge on your account? Know anyone who has? Not an error but actual fraud?

Canadian Cruiser reacted to HeWhoWaits in Multiple items in the MDR
Back when the entire menu differed every night and they always offered both a hot soup and a cold soup as well as two salads, I maxed out at:
Both soups Both salads Three of the four appetizers Two entrees plus the vegetarian option Three of the four desserts -
Canadian Cruiser reacted to CookieChick in Last minute cabin changes
Yes, RC has the right to move you per the contract. My advise would be to call back and get a different agent who might be able to help. Before complaining, ask as nicely as possible to be placed near again.
This happened to me on a February sailing when my family of 5 in connecting balcony rooms were moved to opposite ends of the ship 2 weeks before sailing. My travel agent's first 3 hour call to RC left us with a "there's nothing we can do" response. Later, when her supervisor called back and got another agent, RC righted the matter and found us connecting balcony rooms in a different location. Sometimes it's about who you speak to and how polite/persuasive you can be. We wound up having a wonderful cruise.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to Reigert2008 in Last minute cabin changes
While I suspect that OP will not return, I’m sure somewhere in the fine print of the cruise agreement that rooms can be changed at anytime and appropriate compensation provided. In this case, it appears that the rooms were upgraded so that’s the compensation. Without all the details, I can only recommend again that you use a good travel agent who could stay in front of these types of thing and ensure reservations are linked and such to prevent splitting apart. Good luck!

Canadian Cruiser reacted to b0o5h in Symphony of the Seas is disappointing
I was on Symphony Feb 5th and had absolutely no complaints. Food and service was great all around, I had a great time.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to Moby Dick in Self Serve Buffet is Back!
Now if we could only impress upon some people that this isn't their own tasting bar. And get parents to watch their kids while at the buffet.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to Censored in Specialty dining discounts
With the complimentary dining venues on board such as MDR, Coastal Kitchen ( I book suites) ,Johnny Rockets (breakfast) , Sorrentos, Mexican, Windjammer etc,,.... I have a tough time justifying an extra $400 to eat. Unless you are a real fussy foodie, ( and I can be) the main dining room is sufficient for me and I always ask for special requests to which they are very accommodating . Being Canadian, that $400 US price tag becomes $500! Nope. Not gonna do it. I'll spend that on the casino instead...lol

Canadian Cruiser reacted to coneyraven in Symphony of the Seas is disappointing
I'm intrigued that the OP dropped this bomb and left .... sort of a "one and done" --- only one post, ever.

Canadian Cruiser reacted to smokeybandit in Symphony of the Seas is disappointing
Impressive though that on day 2 you've concluded the food in the MDR has been sub par despite only eating there once since you ate at Chops, too.
