  1. Ok all, categorize this as a first world problem. 😊

I collect the ship keychains/ornaments from each of the ships we are on. On Adventure of the Seas last week, I grabbed one of the ornaments without looking, and found out today they were mistakenly selling some Explorer of the Seas ships. Anyone know where I can purchase an Adventure one now that I'm off the ship (can't find one in ebay at this time)? Thanks!

I was booked for the 6/3/22 on Voyager to the Eastern Caribbean. Not only can I not find that sailing for the Adventure yet, but my cruise planner is showing a 5 night out of Galveston on Voyager still. I'm hoping they just haven't finished making changes yet. Anyone else with the same issue? =/

Hi, cruise buddy. See you in June!

  3. As I've stated many times, I'm a planner, so I am working on planning out our next (second for all of us) cruise in June. We booked Voyager, but I see we are going to be moved to Adventure. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/07/28/royal-caribbean-redeploys-cruise-ships-2023-2024-cruise-season-due-new-speed

In the past, when they do these ship changes, how long does it usually take to get the new reservation? My reservation is still showing Voyager. My big concern is if they will change the actual ports/dates as I'm already starting to figure excursions out.

    Thanks all.

  4. It's been an interesting first day for Symphony. We started a day late due to the storm, and the app was pretty much useless most of the day. I spoke with one of the IT leads, and the issue was the delay in sailing led to them not setting up any of the financial portfolios for the guests. Basically, the app didn't know any of us were paid guests.

This forced everyone to line up at the box office to reserve any show that required advance registration. We got on the ship at 10:30, and the line already snaked out of the Attic and down the art gallery hallway. I've heard from folks that there were some who waited for hours in line. In fact, they came over the intercom around 3pm and said that they had cut off the line.

The same issue caused shore excursion issues. No excursions could be bought or amended for most of the day. There was a line in the excursion area all day, and staff reported to making notes on pads of paper in hopes of entering in the changes once the system came back on line.

In short, the day was full of long lines and upset guests. Customer service confirmed we have over 6,000 on this sailing, so it looks like full capacity didn't help anyone. Royal should know how to make things run more smoothly after a delay. I'm sure it's not their first one...

What can a nearly 12 year old do?

    Well, let's see:

    1.   Knock on cabin doors and run like hell (I used to do that in hotels when I was a kid)

    2.  Pull fire alarms

    3.  Make prank phone calls

    4.  Run around the dining room and run into people, servers and serving carts creating a mess

    5.  Pushing all the buttons on the elevators

    6.  Ordering Room Service to be delivered to other rooms (not smart these days)

    7.  Jump out from behind things and scare people

    8.  Play games in the stairwell lobbies.

    9.  Throwing up anywhere/everywhere

    10. Yelling and screaming anywhere/everywhere

    11. Much more

<This is intended to be a little humorous, not an indictment>

You obviously have never met my child. You see, she has a parent who actually taught her how not to be a brat.

What can a senior citizen do?

    Well, let's see:

    1. Take up all the seating for dinner between 4pm and 5:30 for the early bird special.

    2. Complain it's too cold, hot, and then cold again all over the ship.

    3. Complain the shows are too loud

    4. Complain cruising isn't the same as it was in the 1970s

    5. Complain there are no mints on the pillows anymore

    6. Get inebriated and annoy people around them

    7. Wear far too much perfume.

    8. Sneak in cigarette smoking where it's not allowed (balcony, outside decks in non-designated areas)

I dont think pcr test  is needed for  proof for recovery, only the initial test needs to be a pcr.  Then you can get a certificate of recovery from your physian which would negate the need for any test to board.

That's what I meant. Once you have the positive PCR, that's really all you need. My initial positive was antigen, which is why I got the pcr.

  8. So, my antigen test was an at home. I did the drive thru at Walgreens to get the PCR, which I'm waiting on the results. I assume it will be positive, but my symptoms are already gone (hurray for the vaccine!). I intend to get the all clear from my doc next week, and get my antigen test two days from the cruise. That way I have the proof of recovery if my two day antigen comes back positive. Yes, I am a planner.
