  1. We are sailing on Allure this Sunday. I found a great deal on a Central Park Balcony, and was happy with my selection (11th deck, midship), but I kept getting Royal Up emails. The minimum bid for a Ocean View Balcony was only $35 a person, so I decided on Monday night to go for it. We got approved this morning and are on the 10th deck aft! The going rate for an Ocean Front Balcony is over $600 more than what I originally booked, needless to say we are very excited!
  2. We went to Chankanaab last March, but we booked directly through their website since our cruise was cancelled (we took the ferry over from Playa Del Carmen). It may be different now, but when we went there were hardly any people there, so they gave us half off pictures after we told them no a few times when they asked us to buy them at full price. It wouldn't hurt to just ask and see if they'll work with you on price. Also, @pheenix99 it was a pretty lengthy distance from the ferry terminal to the park. You would definitely need a taxi. They aren't that expensive though..
  3. I work midnights, so the day that check in opened I logged in right at midnight and got a 10:30 am spot! I expected noon or so, but not 10:30!
  4. That ferry was not fun. We tried to take it to Cozumel for an excursion, and after waiting in line for almost an hour we were told that all sailings for the day were cancelled due to wind and choppy conditions. We had to reschedule for the next day. They delayed that ferry, and when we finally got on, it was the roughest seas I had ever seen. I never get seasick, but I was turning green by the time we reached shore!
  5. My wife and I honeymooned in Playa Del Carmen last year (our Royal Caribbean Cruise was cancelled ) and we took a taxi to Xcaret. We had a great time, and spent the whole day there. There is a lot to see and do, from the animals to the shows. The best part of the day for me was the big show at the end of the night (the Mexico Espectacular) but it lasted at least 90 minutes and I'm pretty sure it started after dark. I would say you would need at least 5 hours to see most of the park. If you don't have that much time, it may not be worth it.
  6. We'll be on Allure for the February 27th sailing, I'll be sure to keep a copy of the compass and share it!
  7. I had an issue and had to call customer service. I called them right when they opened at 7:00 am Eastern and got right to an agent. Hope that helps!
