  1. Guest service gives out free sea sick medicine, should you need it. My husband got sick on day 2 of our 7 night cruise. He went back 3 times for more meds. Next time we'll be more prepared.
  2. This has always been a fear of mine when returning the towels, that they would forget to put down that I brought them back. So far, I haven't received the stolen towel fee. Hope you are able to get this fee removed soon.
  3. no. That's too early. We had a 10AM flight and were able to be one of the 1st off the ship and got off by 7:15. Arrived at MIA by 7:45 via Lyft, but it took almost a full hour to get through security. I don't think even if you are TSA pre check you could in any way do 8:35.
  4. They will have a sign pointing you where to go on the promenade. They used the On Air Club, i believe, while we were there. I saw the line of people doing that on the first day. I preferred to sit in a lounge chair by the pool and do it on the app. I've heard of people doing it in the terminal, before they walked on the ship. I didn't try that.
  5. Yes, book shows on day 1. The ice shows and comedy in the smaller venue does sell out. We did Hiro on day 1. I would definitely recommend this, as shows get canceled based on weather. This way if day 1 gets canceled, you can try to see Hiro a different night. That will be the show most likely canceled.
  6. We got a dessert to go after our MDR meal each night. The lid they gave us had a breathable hole at the top. I thought that was odd. I had brought freezer sized ziplock baggies with us. I sometimes transferred the dessert (especially if it was large chocolate chip cookies) into the ziplock for the next day, or later that evening. I never kept the lid, though. Each day/night we put it out for the cabin steward to take.
  7. Shoot, so I guess this won't be fixed by July. We're still up in the air about which ship to book for our July cruise. We were the most considering Liberty. This isn't a deal breaker, but does factor into my decision, though.
  8. I had heard that the outdoor movie screen wasn’t working on Liberty last month. Has anyone seen if this is still the case?
  9. I asked on our 2/12-2/19 sailing and the waiter said we are doing a passenger count for capacity reasons. Our ship was only at 50% capacity and there always seamed like about 75% of WJ tables were occupied. I have no idea how they would accommodate everyone at full capacity.
  10. we went to Johnny Rockets on Symphony and told the waiter that we only wanted to use our coupon to get the 50% off shakes. 2 shakes to go. He told me that he could just have 1 of our sea pass cards and take off both of the shakes. But when he came back with the receipt to sign, he told my husband. I only used 1 of your coupons on the card. This way you'll come back tomorrow. It was a sneaky way for them to make more money. But although we really enjoyed our shakes, I never wanted to go back to the venue again because he didn't take the 50% off of both of the shakes, like we had asked.
  11. It depends on how many people are at your table. I just did 5:30 dining with just my husband and we were done within an hour. 2 tables near us both had 6 people, they took way longer. On a side note, 7PM shows are often 7:30 or 7:45.
  12. I'm going to bring 3 of my teen boys on a cruise this summer. 14,15 & 16. The 14 and 15 year old are really close. Do you know if they are sticklers for keeping the 14 year old with the younger kids?
  13. Did they cancel the ice shows? I was on 2/12-2/19, too. One thing I noticed when looking at the performers name tags were multiple people from both Ukraine and Russia.
  14. I agree. I never wanted to get the self serve ice cream, before. Kids getting their own cones touching the machine completely grossed me out. On my last cruise, we stopped at the soft serve machine a few times, and I couldn't stop repeating how nice it is to have a staff member give it to me!
  15. I received the hot breakfast room service for free on Symphony last week. No where did I see where the fee would be waived. The food service was not left outside our cabin. The man delivering it set up all the dishes (we ordered a ton of pancakes bacon and stuff inside our room for us. If I would have known it was free, we would have done it, at least another time. We did have the 6AM delivery time. We had an early excursion in Roatan that day and were trying to save time.
  16. Yes, you have to wait, now to connect to the ship's wifi. But don't worry, everyone else has to wait until then, too. Just make it a priority on day one to connect to the wifi and start booking, and you'll be fine getting the shows you want.
  17. I noticed that for a July cruise I’m trying to book. I want to put my 3 boys in a room together and the price is through the roof. But they’re all teens and vaccinated.
  18. I was on that sailing but I didn't keep the cruise compasses. I can tell you which show we did the 1st night. We saw Hiro, if I remember correctly it was supposed to start at 8:15, but it actually started 5 minutes early. We ate at MDR at the early (5:30) time and had more than enough time to get there to get a seat in the 4th row. There was no one in the 1st 3 rows in front of us. I highly recommend getting there a bout 30 minutes early and not missing this show. If there is bad weather, they cancel it , so try to see it night one.
  19. I was on Symphony last week. We were at the pool and waterslides on day one. We changed at the public restrooms at about 11:30 am. Ate lunch at El Loco Fresh in our swim wear. When we decided to check out our room at 3pm, our cabin steward was waiting with our luggage outside our room wondering where we have been. I have no idea what time he had put the luggage there, but I had the impression it had been there for quite some time by what he had said.
  20. The added benefit to using a slot machine as an ATM is you can get back free money. I punched in that I wanted to place a $200 bet. I was going to just quick hit cash out but my husband placed a couple of bets really quick and we came out $6 ahead. So instead of paying $6 at an ATM I received $6 and some change (left that with the cashier, though) for using the slot machine as an ATM.
  21. I was on Symphony last week. The only major show missing was Hairspray. The aqua show, Hiro was worth the entire price of the cruise, IMO. It was fantastic! They had both ice shows running, we only went to one of them, but again it was unbelievable! Flight was jaw dropping, as well. Our ship was only half full. There is almost as much crew on board as passengers. Every crew member we met went over and beyond to make sure we were having a wonderful experience.
  22. We just went with $200 cash for a 7 night cruise with 4 ports and knew we would need more. We paid cash in ports for taxis and activities. Then, we made a trip down to the casino and used a slot machine to charge to sea pass card and cash out some more. This way you avoid ATM fees. The cashier at the casino will give you the exact denominations you want so you can have extra tip money, if you wish for the end of the cruise.
  23. I’m on Symphony, now. No balloon drop. I’m allergic to balloons and hate any time I’m around them, some how they always start coming in my direction. They did have balloons at the Super Bowl showing that we’re decorations. We had specific sides to sit on with balloon colors Bengals vs Rams. They did make the party fun. People started having fun with the balloons, but not me.
  24. I’m about to get on Symphony and was trying to pack the bag to carry around before our bags that we give to the porter are delivered to the stateroom. I wasn’t sure if I should put my change of clothes for dinner in this bag. We have the 5:30pm MDR time. How long does it typically take to get the bags at the stateroom?
  25. I used Lyft to get to my hotel in Miami airport last night. It was a little cheaper than Uber. I’m staying at YVE hotel right across from the port. This is my 1st time here it is an excellent location and had the best price I could find for this area. I’m watching all the ships pull in this morning from my room. We have a great view.
