This post was interesting because it made me see where mine was and seeing where other ones are was also interesting. Because we are staying on Deck 6, but ours is deck 5 lol Our room is right next to a completely different station than we are at.
-
For the cruise we are on there was no connecting rooms available and since we have 5 we couldn't find any rooms that allowed more than 4. Our rooms are next to each other, but not connecting. So we are in this same situation. I just assumed we would be given two keys for each room and so we would each have two keys one for each room. I am a night owl so I may attempt guest services that first night late at night and see if they can give us keys that access both rooms. Clearly connecting would be ideal, but if they aren't available we don't have any options. I think the issue was needing a room for 3 as those are limited to begin with and then add in connecting and that was even more impossible.

My Time Dining / Vaccine Requirements
IzzyB replied to Sapphire's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
It allowed you to select My Time Dining even if you have unvaccinated kids, however it will not let you reserve any dining times if you try. I know because I didn't realize this and had selected My Time Dining and then went to reserve dining times and it said members of my party do not qualify. So then I called and switched to the 5:30 time since my 4 year old can't be vaccinated yet. -
I mean honestly if they don't do it sometime the beginning of next year and every other cruiseline does, I can see where that can be good and bad. For example, I know families who would much rather go on a 95% vax cruise than one with 1000 kids on it like one cruise had. But I imagine there are also families who don't want to get their kids vaccinated. Personally, as soon as my son can be vaccinated we will switch to Carnival or NC if RC doesn't update their vax policies. I surely don't want to be on the one cruiseline that allows that largest population of unvaccinated people on it. I am only doing it this time because of my 4 year old. I remember my doctor changing his childhood vaccine policy and he said it used to be that I would get a handful of families a year who would sign the paper refusing vaccines. Then as trends continued and he saw he was getting several a week he realized that so few doctors accepted unvaccinated patients that he was getting more and more patients and he wasn't comfortable with the large numbers of unvaxed. So he changed it knowing he would lose patients but in his mind it was worth it because other families were getting uncomfortable with not having a policy. I see the same happening with cruises. The % of vaccinated guests on RC is going to be much lower and keep lowering the more other cruises make it 5+. I mean Disney changed to 5+ and Carnival only allows on exception. Those are two cruises who very much cater to families.

Do you have the Compass that can be uploaded? I am trying to get an idea of the shows now that Harmony is back in the US. I want to be prepared so I can book shows and also adventure club as soon as I get on the ship since we will be going during the holidays (26th to 2nd)

Sorry about your horse and husband and hope both are recovering well. I want to say as a new member it is extremely clear that posts have to be approved and when you see your post it says that it is not yet approved. So not sure how they could confuse that. I also want to say my posts are always approved in a timely manner, so again, not sure what this person's complaints are. Everything was clear to me. It was also clear that this is not RC official site.

It isn't an e-mail template. When you log into your account and go to your cruise and then boarding pass a message pops up. On it talks about vaccines, unvaccinated onboard testing, and then states pre-cruise it shows the message that it hasn't been announced. It could very well be they just haven't updated it. The cruise is 29 days out. Like I stated I am going as if I need everyone to test, but it is odd to me that this is not updated for our cruise. When I click on the health and safety page specific for Harmony it doesn't even mention at all about pre-cruise testing other than the one at port for un-vaxed. I mean honestly they need to update that, because for anyone who is on these cruises aren't going to realize they need tested if they follow all the links for their specific cruise.
-
Agreed, I am planning on scheduling my tests as soon as it is two weeks out from the date, but mine says the same thing. Wonder if non-holiday cruises have the same message or just holiday ones. I would think it would have the testing protocols announced to March so I thought it was interesting when it said testing protocols have not been announced.

I am sailing out of the US. I noticed it the other day as I ignored it thinking it just said we needed to test since I had known we needed to test based on checking everything out since my son is unvaxed (under 5). But the other day I read it and realized it said they didn't know what the rules would be. I am moving as if I need everyone tested, but clearly they don't have the rules set in stone at this point or it would tell me when I logged in for my specific cruise. I am wondering with Christmas and Christmas Eve if they are trying to do 3 days instead of 2.

This is not what my cruise information states. For my Dec 26th cruise it specifically states "Pre-cruise and onboard/debarkation testing requirements have not yet been announced. Tap Health on the Royal Caribbean app's home screen or visit our website for updates." when I go into my boarding information.

It shows as an option for my Dec 26th cruise on Harmony at CocoCay

Thrill Park is down $50 that seemed to be the largest drop. I believe the Vroom s cheaper, but that is the one I didn't remember from a week ago. All the drink packages dropped in price. Very few excursions dropped in price though, mostly CocoCay stuff.

What test is excepteable, and where can I purchase please?
IzzyB replied to Kaci's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
CVS and Walgreens don't put their testing schedules out that far. I can't even make an appointment for anything past 12/5. Same with the Curative site, most places that have tests only have appointments to the beginning of December. I tried calling one place and they said they haven't been told anything for the holidays yet. So I figured I would check 2 weeks before Christmas Eve for appointments at various places as that seems to be when schedules are released. If I can't find anything anywhere then I will order the mail tests. There are 5 of us and my son can't use the at home tests at all, but he can test the day before Christmas Eve, so I know for him I can get something. We have so many testing places that do Rapid Antigen around us I see no reason to pay for mail in unless I absolutely cannot find a rapid for Christmas Eve once it gets in the time frame where they release appointments. I no longer am in a hot spot so testing is much easier to find these days in my area. -
I also assumed it was a park non-tour people could go on. Which is why the being able to explore the park, beach, pool, etc seemed so odd to me.

Interesting move, will Royal Follow suit?
IzzyB replied to Neesa's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I am curious how they will start to handle the kids club with some kids vaccinated and some not and will that push them in a direction to move to fully vaxed. Because unvaxed I guess have to stay socially distanced, but vaxed wouldn't. So are they going to say you over here can be closer but you over here can't? And will that make some upset that their kid has to socially distanced even though they are vaxed. I guess I will find out in December as I will have 2 vaxed and 1 not (he is under 5). -
My drink packages are much cheaper now also. The one is $13 cheaper than it was yesterday.

I will need to remember to pack my toiletry scissors because my 6 year old has tiny wrists and I imagine there will be a ton of band hanging down that she will get into everything. Glad I saw this post.

Honduras Gumbalimba Preservation Park tour. You can hang out on the beach, hang out at a pool, or go back into the park and explore on your own. It says "Coaches will be returning to the pier throughout the afternoon"
-
I am fully aware of the rules, but two of my tours have "Free Time" at the end of the tour. One allows you to do one of 3 things and there is multiple buses to take you back when you are ready. I thought that was interesting with the rules that it should be a "bubble tour"

NCL To Extend Vaccine Mandate "Indefinitely"
IzzyB replied to GKMCruising's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Oh good to hear, I was planning to see what deals Black Friday would get me for food. I don't have to do a specialty place but my one child did ask about that one. -
NCL To Extend Vaccine Mandate "Indefinitely"

That answers my question. I was wondering on Oasis if the boardwalk and central park were places you had to wear masks. I am like I think that is considered outside, but never been on an Oasis ship. So is it really just walking to and from room to destination and entering places of eating? But once at table you can remove mask, right? And then shows? my son is 4 so family shows we will have to be in the unvaccinated area but if he is not with us and in the kids area then we can do vaccinated stuff because my two girls will be vaccinated. I did notice the only restaurant my kids would want is vax only and I don't want to do it without my son because he loves sushi and hibachi too. -

I actually now realize it was CVS I took my daughter and had the results within an hour. They are right across the street from each other so I mix them up all the time. But CVS is also antigen so they should work too. I plan to make an appointment for all 5 of us at CVS on Christmas Eve since my son's test has to be in person I might as well do all of us in person and get it done for free. That way we will have the results within an hour and then enjoy the rest of our Christmas holiday. -
Not sure if you could do that. But CVS is another option and I know the one near us is not drive thru, it is a separate building off to the side.

Check-in Vaccination Verification on App
IzzyB replied to Baked Alaska's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
If you don't get them uploaded I imagine you can show them at the port? I am noticing my kids don't have the upload option, but they can't be fully vaxed until mid-December so maybe they will open it up then for them? We are sailing Dec 26th. -
Is there long lines for stuff or the decks packed? Christmas I am thinking would be max like Thanksgiving and RC said they are shooting for 65% in December. Hoping it isn't too crazy at 65%
