I think you are correct.  In a few weeks there will be mad posts about paying all this money for a cruise and they couldn't get off the ship.  "No one told me" yet it's there in plain english for all to see today.

I think this is all going to lead to confusion for the passengers and maybe the crew.  No vaccination needed from Galveston, but then you can’t get off the ship in Grand Cayman.  It seems like it would have been better to wait until they worked out the details with each stop and then drop it.  While those of us on the board are well versed in the policies, the general public may miss some of the fine details and then be upset when. Of course, it is the passengers responsibility to know the policy, but we know someone will miss it or their “not as good” travel agent will misinform them of the policy.

I do agree unfortunately. 

I do have to agree that the wording of these announcements has been horrendous - starting with the “welcoming” the unvaccinated. I’m not sure that they could be doing a worse job.

I just still want to know why Michael Bayley promised all cruises starting August 8th would not require vaccination and Royal still hasn’t addressed that or apologized for the gross miscommunication. 

Its time Royal Caribbean steps up like Norwegian did yesterday, and is getting rid of the Vaccine mandate, Just like the CEO said we just have to move forward like the rest of the world and live with it.  

The 100% vaxx statement, in the Policy, is in direct contravention to what MB has been saying for over a week. He needs to officially inform his staff about his changes. lol

I believe they took the vax card area down but before you get there it still says, "everyone over 12 must be vaxxed." It might just be a revamp, like maybe they are changing the area to accommodate those not vaxxed.

They really do. They way MB made it sound was that unvaxxed was not an issue. I think that news was disseminated too since that's what the access department is saying. But since people are being denied travel based on vaccine status then clearly that's not the case. They need to get on the same page, whatever that page is.

What's interesting is that the Cayman Islands and Antigua cruises allow unvaccinated adults to sail, but only with a certificate of recovery.  No option of presenting a negative test.  I guess the unvaccinated that want to cruise to those ports are going to be clamoring for a healthy dose of coronavirus prior to their cruise 🤣

The title of the post can be misleading, but the bottom line is that there will be no limit on the number of unvaccinated passengers for itineraries that allow unvaccinated passengers to sail.

Source?  I don't see anywhere in the article or on the NCL website stating there's a limit.

Thanks, @ChrisK2793.  Unfortunately they are still requiring unvaxxed to test so we aren't quite ready to jump back but we're getting close !!!!

The section for vaccine info just disappeared out of the check in section of the app. I can't imagine that was an accident. Anyone else seeing the same?

With cruising being so competitive, I wonder if NCL's announcement about unvaccinated makes RC speed up their timeframe/announcement.

It hard to say, but based on near inebriated bar talk, it is a mix.  Based on the Royal Up engagement just prior (like a day and the day prior), it feels like they were trying to fill the ship with last minute people.  We tried to eaves drop a bit during the check in process.  The buzz was NO TESTING.  I    will use my supreme disarming likeable personality skills to get the tea! 😉 Stay tuned.

No TESTING needed, people are thrilled at the reduced stress before boarding...and it shows on the Promenade!  
Our flight down from Detroit was absurd last Thursday afternoon.  We had 6+ hour delay with multiple changes.  Got to Amelia Island after midnight.  Glad we didn't have to worry about testing.  If we had to throw testing on top of that with the high probability of positive tests running rampant, I   may have snapped.  ONE restriction gone, bring on the next.  Water is fine, jump in.

I 100% agree to with you here.  We have until the end of February for our final payment date.  So IF Royal doesn't make a change then we have another option as long as NCL doesn't revert back to 100% vax requirements. 

This is exciting news!  I have already started looking at replacing our RC sailing for next May with a cruise on NCL.  Pricing, even with the FCC we have would be close when we add in the drink packages we have to buy with RC.  Not doing anything yet, but I am glad to know we have this option now.

I bet the testing requirements for everyone are gone by October or November.  I was thinking they might wait until the first of the year, but now I doubt it, the other lines will follow suit and drop all testing for any vaccinated on any length of cruise, I bet on the 15th or whenever RC was supposed to announce again.

Fantastic news! Hopefully this will mean RC dropping vaccine mandates (officially) and testing mandates for vaccinated very soon.

Not only have they dropped the testing, but they have also dropped any vaccine mandates effective Sept 3

I really hope it's the case for September.. Flying from the UK to NY then having to sort out testing is an expensive nightmare.  Complete waste of time to boot.
