Yes but lately - who in gov't is actually following any law? We're in a make it up as we go along mindset. Moving goal posts - more masks are better now... Can't fly to Mexico without a test, BUT you can drive or take a bus and its not required.... So much inconsistency.

Correct.. You can't fly into the USA without a negative test, yet you can walk across the boarder into the USA by the thousands with no social distancing, mask and no covid test. So much inconsistency.

Hi, so we understand you run some kind of a business called "cruising" ... we don't really know anything about that, could you take some time and explain what it is and how works ... apparently we are in complete control of your business and we are generally opposed to anything that happens outside of a laboratory in tightly controlled conditions so this is very scary to us already.
Correct... So are we looking at a Ship or a Boat ? Interesting..

I was near the forward elevator bank on Adventure. Almost right across the hall from it. The view from my cabin door:
Noise never bothered me.
There is always the chance of a boisterous group talking loudly going down the hall but that occurs down the entire length of the hall where ever that group is at that moment.
One time on a Carnival ship there were elevator doors directly across the opening (where you see stairs in the picture above) and in that case I did hear people as they stood waiting for an elevator. On every Royal ship I have sailed that is not how they design their elevator lobbies so it has never been an issue.
I love being close to this entrance to the elevator lobby because it's easy in and out.

Good morning!
Has anyone stayed in a balcony on Adventure of the Seas (or similar) on the bump out?
I did Google search of the room we are staying in but I am having a hard time picturing what it may look like from the balcony.
We are also near the elevators. Can this get noisy?
When we were on Mariner, we stayed all the way back in the aft on a corner room and loved it!
Thanks for the help/tips/advice
Staying on balcony located on the bumpout gives you a larger balcony. It's the only balcony we get, for that reason.
This December, we're on Allure of the seas, we have A Jr. Suite on the bumpout.

I think that deposits for 6+ nights have always been $500. Isn’t the $200 amount only for 5 nights and under?
Correct

I'd be SHOCKED if they will have MAY cruises, it seems like FALL 2021 is the time they will resume here in the US.
Hope for the best though!
I agree.
My cruise is December 5, 2021. On Allure of the seas.
Hopefully it's a go.

If all goes well myself and a number of others here hope to be sailing before you, more than once.
This site and this forum are the place to keep an eye out for user reports for how it is working.
I'm fairly new to this site.
Yes, I will be keeping an eye out for reports on how's things are going.
I'm hoping my Dec 5th cruise on Allure is far enough in the future, that it will go off. (RCCL should have a handle on the situation)

Check in historically starts after final payment due date (90 days out for most cruises). I think many of us are waiting to see how this will work in 2021.
Sound's like a plan...
So on September 5th (Final Payment). I will be looking to book my boarding time. (Hopefully one of the 1st available times)
Then heading straight up to the CK.. ( Grabbing a Drink on the way up. And on the way down to the pool area)

Yes! On ships without Royal Suite Class, the upgrade may not be as worth it. But I am a firm believer that on ships with Royal Suite Class, between guaranteed access to CK, access to the suite sun deck, saved seating at shows, and complimentary VOOM, the upgrade is definitely worth it.
Once again, you are correct. I forgot about the other benefit's of getting a Grand Suite.
I will be keeping a lookout for a Grand Suite.

On Quantum, the only ship sailing so far during the pandemic, Pinnacles have been banned from the Suite Lounge and CK so that social distancing can be maintained for suite guests.
We don't know if that will be implemented in North America (or any other region) but there is reason to speculate it will be.
The pandemic will likely lead to a number of changes compared to past experiences depending when your cruise occurs and how well the world is coping with the pandemic at that time. We just don't know.
Thank You for the quick response.
Would you happen to know, when can you book your boarding time ? (Our Cruise is Dec 5th 2021)

It's not good, they are not very forthcoming about it. I don't think it states it online while booking, and when you get on board, it only very subtly states it in cruise compass. And the wording isn't even that clear. Keep an eye on pricing. If it drops and you can upgrade to a Grand Suite, it might be worth it for Allure. Then you are guaranteed CK for all meals.
That sound's like a good idea. (I was thinking about upgrading). My Jr. Suite is on the bumpout, so other than a larger room, the balcony's are the same size.
BUT..at the moment, all the Grand Suites are sold out (not to mention, all the Jr. Suites are gone)
A Grand suite would guarantee CK and access to the suite outside lounging sun area.
Thank You

I expect some CK relief will come from banning Pinnacles during the time when we must cruise with pandemic protocols. That's speculation on my part and it's unclear what access JS will have to the CK. We just don't know right now. Either way I would suggest you visit CK as soon as you board and try to get reservations.
Yes... I will head straight to the CK and try and book our dining times for that night if not the whole cruise.
I was unaware of the availability clause in the perk listing.
What's the Pinnacles banning ?

Not necessarily. While some people report feeling very badly after getting the second dose, others (anecdotal evidence here as I am reciting what older friends have experienced) say they didn't have any ill effects from the second dose.
Yes.. I've also heard these results.

JS already have access to CK for dinner as long as there is availability so you should be able to make dinner reservations for 6 but it may not be possible every night of the cruise. Someone else will have to answer regarding room service from CK.
We have two Jr. Suite on Allure this December. One of the reasons we got the Jr. Suite is to Dine in the Coastal Kitchen all 6 nights of the cruise. Being one of the benefits of a Jr. Suite.
I'll be speaking to higher-ups if these no available. Hopefully not.

Hello Community,
We are trying to decide whether a dining package is worth it or simply enjoy Coastal Kitchen? All being well, we will be sailing a B2B on the Symphony of the Seas in a Grand Suite. This will be our first cruise on an Oasis class and we will also be the first time to try Coastal Kitchen. We have read through a number of posts on the message board and Coastal Kitchen sounds amazing, especially the night serving fillet steak. As our first time on such a ship, we know we must eat at the dining options only found on this class of ship, like 150 Central Park.
If you had the good fortune staying in a suite, do you think it is a waste to buy the Ultimate Dining package, knowing you can eat at Coastal Kitchen? Would you simply purchase a three night package plus Izumi Hibachi and enjoy Coastal Kitchen? Looking through the cruise panner, the ultimate package allows Chefs Table, which we would like to experience of this ship. Also Wonderland I believe to different, with a unique bar on the Oasis compared to the Quantum class ships?
Being a B2B would you advise to do the Ultimate package on one leg and a three night on another, save the money and do two three night packages and enjoy CK?
This is our first Jr. Suite on Allure.
We're looking forward to the Coastal Kitchen.
Plus we got the drink package
All set for our cruise this December.

I received my doses at the local pharmacy and though I got one of those CDC cards, I actually got one of those prescription receipts for both shots and they are very detailed. I am keeping both as confirmation of having received my shots until if/when they are replaced with something different.
I received my dose at my office and my wife received hers at Gillette Stadium, we both got one of those CDC cards.
Now I get my 2nd in two weeks from today and my wife's in 3 weeks from today.
So that'll be two Saturdays in a row that one of us feels like crap.

Donna and I are book on Allure of the Seas - Dec 5th 2021 out of Port Everglades. (10 months away)
We snagged a great price on a Jr. Suite on the bumpout - larger balcony ($2200.00 W/ Insurance & 2 bottles of wine). Plus I got the RCCL Credit card, giving me $150.00 SBC and took $200.00 of the deposit.
I also got a couples massage ($189.00 includes the 18% tip).
Our Daughter and Son in-law did the exact same thing with us. - Wicked Smart.
