I didn’t notice they switched days for perfect day- that really stinks and sharing with Wonder!?!!   That is crazy!  It is a vacation I was looking forward, I hope it is isn’t too overwhelming with so many people. Also  if you had a cabana reserved and so did Wonder- who wins?

My personal opinion is as long as "naughty" bits are covered, wear what you want. Casual and dress shorts are definitely okay. 

As mentioned, shorts are perfectly fine.
FWIW, my not-dressy-at-all shorts and a casual polo easily put me above the 50th percentile as far as "dressiness" on casual nights in the MDR on Wonder last week. Plenty of t-shirts to be found... and some sports jerseys.

my rule is never wear pants, those are for work. Shorts are for cruising

Speaking of the Windjammer...
I did not feel like dressing up for the MDR, so we ate dinner tonight in the Windjammer.  Truly scrumptious, and the service is quite good.  Don't know if it's just this ship that has higher standards. Or if Royal is improving across the board.  Either way. I am very pleased.

While eating in the Windjamner, we are able to view the Zip Line.

I may or may not be hiding ducks on our May 16 cruise.  But I will definitely be looking 👀 for them during my cruise 😊.

It's been a rough few days for ships.
 
Brilliance has engine issues.
Carnival had another funnel fire.
A HAL ship had a steam pipe explode and kill two crew members.

Authorities have called off search and rescue ops for the missing people.

My parents left their Freestyle cups on the MDR table at lunch and guest services replaced them for free! I thought that was a really nice gesture. We tried to track them down but with no luck. 
We came across a small vessel this morning that didn't respond to hails. So we slowed, stopped, turned around came back to it, and sent an emergency craft over. Turns out it was just a loose boat that had floated to here with no one aboard. 
I've smelled a bad sewer smell twice, briefly. 
The weather is lovely. Hot, yes, but in the shade, with a bit of breeze, just amazing to sit out on my balcony and type this and watch + listen to the water. This is the furthest south I've ever been and I'm glad it is March rather than April.

We've been missing the Boardwalk Donuts so I got room service breakfast yesterday before our excursion and ordered a chocolate donut @OCSC Mike! This was the best donut I've ever had on a cruise ship. It was fresh, soft and still a little warm but with that harder chocolate on top. Delish!! Although I wouldn't have used the room service if I had gotten Jamaican time correct.

White night & formal night table pictures.

I have a funny smile in the white night pic because the lady at the next table took it and didn't really tell us when, so I got smile fatigue. And my son's eyes are closed for the same reason.

It'll be a ship cat.... you'll find him walking on the counters at Sorrentos and knocking glasses off the bars. 

I really appreciated your response and will try for joining rooms for future cruises when I book. 

Just got an email for our May 16 Symphony sailing out of Jersey….Labadee cancelled…..Nassau, here we come!! OH JOY🤪

I assume that means they've canceled now through May instead of just through April.

I am sure Royal is eating those fees and costs in the short run as a lot of customers booked cruises because of the Labadee stop.  They are wisely avoiding the "I didn't sign up to go there" argument for ports that were changed.  They are still profiting big time on some of their replacements too.  For example, I am about to leave on Symphony this weekend.  We were originally was scheduled to call on Labadee.  Labadee was replaced with Coco Cay.  My excursions purchased at Black Friday prices for Labadee were canceled and refunded.  But excursions for Coco Cay are following the dynamic pricing model and is extremely expensive because two oasis class ships will be there that day.  Hideaway beach prices are a good example where it is $70.99 now and on another trip it was only $23.

Got it….I was so looking forward to Labadee for the 1st time. Oh well😤 We’re doing a B2B so will have the exact same itinerary on the 2nd leg. Good thing we love Symphony…looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of her🤓

Ha…I was looking at that same tour with Viator IF our May Symphony cruise cancels Labadee and IF we get rerouted to Falmouth!  
Your description is pretty thorough so do you recommend?  We’ve got 6 kids (ages 9-12) and 8 adults (all in 40’s range except me 😜 67).  Your thoughts…..
