  1. Did they maintain a common list of menu items between the dining rooms (in addition to the specialty menu that matched the name)?
  2. The "show must go on" (maybe additional caution for the cast? Just a guess)
  3. No kidding. I'm only noting that the airfare was "cheapest" when A2S opened up and now that same airfare has ballooned in price to a point where it exceeds the cruise fare.. Just relaying an observation for a specific case I have first hand experience.
  4. Booked early for a 3 June as soon as A2S opened up (9 mo prior). Its gone up consistently over the period of time (after I purchased) to where the combined airfares exceed the cruise fare.
  5. https://www.cruisecritic.com/news/6705/ Anyone want to start a line? Three ships coming up for sale.
  6. Exactly what I expected. The CDC as currently lead, will never let go. Still in the zero case mentality - the rest of the world is moving on to its just another periodic virus (that we can now treat effectively).
  7. I've experienced in the past, but it cleared up after a few days. Its a bug.
  8. We met some folks that had mobility issues. They did not venture through the dark forest (on their first exploration of the ship) thinking it was just an art exhibit. Other friends were talking to them about wanting to find Eden, and they were astonished that they almost missed it until nearly the end of the cruise. I thought it was a pretty cool feature. (Apex has a different entry to Eden that's fully lit. (As will Beyond).
  9. Not sure if you experienced this, but early in our Edge cruise not a lot of folks knew about the the Eden cafe. it stayed pretty empty first part of the cruise. By the end, it was packed - great panini offerings. (Similar to Park Cafe getting ignored on embarkation day)
  10. Your cruise documentaries are "coffee table" book ready! Really enjoy them.
  11. Your doctor's office may have (or subscribe) to an APP that provides an OCR vaccination and test result display. Also check for that. If you test at CVS/Walgreens, they have APPs that keep a record of your test result (as well as vaccination status if they've vaccinated you). You can also print it out from either source.
  12. Agree on practical affordability related to cabana's, but it must be a reliable revenue source for the company to be offered. I have seen some price fluctuations, "guessing" its throttled upon demand. (If you want to see an interesting take on really nice cabanas, check out an all-inclusive vacation in the Maldives. The cost (inc air) will surprise you as it can be less than cost of higher end suites on a cruise ship. You just have to fly 30hrs to get there - if you're starting from North America.) We found the beach club a very affordable alternative (as a couple) to have nice beach front (or pool) with ample lounge chairs. You also get a great lunch.
  13. They charge a lot for cabanas because people will pay it. its a discretionary activity - it can make sense for those traveling with a family or group.
  14. Part of a fitness class. I think you're supposed to carry one on your shoulders as you round the track.
  15. From what I remember, the sea bass on the menu isn't Chilean Sea bass (aka Patagonian tooth fish), its Mediterranean bass aka Brazino. (Which I believe RCG purchases the entire world supply )
  16. We stayed the beach club and there were some Lemon Sharks and Stingrays off the beach in that area. But, I'm sure they're all around the island.
  17. Fine Cuts in itself is a great steak place. Reservations best made early.
  18. I think you would have to really make an effort try to be bored. There are enough activities going on throughout the ship that can't all be possibly done in 1 - 7-day cruise (Along with the toys, consider to all the things (games etc) the cruise director staff has going on - that often get missed because of other conflicts)
  19. Doesn't appear the menu changed since pre-shutdown..
