The same thing happened on my Odyssey sailing the week for yours. El Loco Fresh said I needed to wait 50min for a refill. I imagine it is used quite a bit, so it probably needs a break.

You can fill that cup as many times as you want with whatever offerings you choose until the cup breaks.  Then, you go get another cup and keep going until you get diabetes.  (just joking-not meant to offend anyone-I have diabetes)

As @Matt posted above this has been in effect for many years.  All the time I was D+ I rarely was able to visit a CL.  However they did expand the DL on those occasions.
The reality is there are too many D+ to be able to accommodate them in the CL.  When I was documenting the CAS distribution in 2019 on my cruises I noted numbers of D+ like 354, 345, 1272, 499, 415, etc.  There are simply too many to allow them into the CL without dramatically impacting suite guests.
As it is when there are 40 Pinnacle on some classes they have to ban Pinnacle from the CL/SL.  On my last cruise I was banned from the SL.  So be it.  They have to protect the privileges of suite guests.  We are talking 40 as a threshold, there is no way they can accommodate 10 times that number when there are simply too many D+.

I agree with @Matt, we are Diamond Plus and am not really bothered by the change. If I really want to go this lounge instead of the Diamond lounge I will book a suite. If it was a choice between this and the 5 drink vouchers, I would far rather have those
In reality the people who are most upset are probably cruisers who aren't Diamond Plus yet, the keyboard warriors love something like this to sink their teeth into.

I'm not going to defend the change or pretend it's not a cut, because it is.
    However.....
CL access has been gone for a while. They've been replacing suite lounges with concierge lounges for years. If not for covid, maybe they could have kept the benefit on paper and pushed through more of these CL to SL updates and it not have been as noticeable as a reply-all email to everyone.
And as noted in Royal's email and plenty of anecdotal evidence here, access had been pretty much cut off lately.
My point is practically speaking, there isn't a major change in how we D+ operate.
    And yes, I'm D+ myself.

OMG so funny. One lovely lady had it on her shirt and tattooed on her ankle in addition to a big anchor necklace, she beamed with pride which made me smile. They are very territorial when it comes to that lounge.

MarcBerger reacted to twangster in Starlink Internet could be coming to Royal Caribbean
Royal will move Vision class if and when the cost justification to change satellite providers is there.  Enchantment is done since it was an O3b ship and they wanted to leave O3b as a provider to save money.
The state of the WLAN infrastructure on any given ship is not a factor in the decision to implement Starlink.
When Royal upgraded the infrastructure in 2014 all ships were updated so Adventure, Navigator, Vision, Grandeur, Radiance, etc. are not materially different and quite frankly are going to work as well as wireless can work given all the metal and issues that all ships have.
Short of placing access points inside cabins replacing the WLAN infrastructure won't see massive improvements to the customer experience and they won't be wiring any ships to place access points in cabins anytime soon.
Worst case they migrate Vision to Starlink and their supplier costs go down 70% while the user experience doesn't change.   However I don't think it's a worst case scenario.  The WLAN infrastructure on Vision is capable of speeds approaching 100Mbs or better.  When they migrate Vision (or Grandeur/Rhapsody) it will be much like migrating Mariner, Navigator or Jewel.  It will be a better user experience.
The only question is coverage.  Are the old ladies sailing in regions where Starlink isn't ready yet?  It would be pointless to migrate a ship to Starlink then sail her into a region without Starlink coverage.
For example, Ovation and Quantum are NOT migrating to Starlink right now because there is no Starlink maritime coverage in that region, today.  These ships have newer WLAN technology but with no Starlink coverage where they are sailing it would not make sense to migrate them and pay the monthly Starlink fee.

MarcBerger reacted to Ron Donze in Firestick, signing onto voom
So I'm in a suite on Oasis of the Seas so I am lucky have free streaming zoom. Brought a recently purchased 4k firestick. I managed to get it plugged in despite the TV not pivoting from the wall. The TV was "hanging" on its wall mount in a recessed wall.
To get room to reach behind the TV, I  had to grab the TV on the sides and lift slightly while sliding it left. Left because the HDMI inputs are on the right. Then pulling from the bottom gave just enough room for an arm to fit between the TV and wall. Quite the guessing game to fit the firestick in HDMI 1 slot. It was just above the wired input already there.
Turning on the TV the menu allowed you to select "Live TV" which brought to all the channels. Channel 0 was listed as HDMI 1. So select channel 0.
Now turning (plug in) the firestick on and go to settings, then network. Click on WiFi-Guest-Oasis. This will connect you to the ship but not sign you in. It will say "no internet " under the WiFi-Guest-Oasis at the network menu.
What I never found described by any other post was, what do I do to get signed in.  Note the 4k firestick, when connecting to WiFi-Guest-Oasis, did not ask me to input a user name and password. All the ship IT would tell me was I needed a browser. Well Silk Browser is all I had installed.
So how do I start it when I have no internet. You can't. I tried opening settings, "Manage Installed Apps". Then scrolled down to Silk Broser. When I  clicked on it, "Launch Application" was not there.
After a couple days I stumbled upon trying "Downloader" app which I had installed before coming on board. This app did allow launching and it acts like a browser sort of. Anyway it allowed me to type in login.com and that was the trick to getting to enter user name and password. Wahla Firestick got up to 88mph and I saw some serious shit. (Back to the future reference....anybody?)
Below are some screen shots to hopefully help you out. I bet there are more screen shots I should have taken but didn't get so sorry in advance.
As you may know, when you get Voom you can only use it on one device at a time. You have to switch between your phone, tablet, computer or Firestick.  So If you use a VPN on your Firestick, make sure you verify that it will launch the same way Downloader was launched from the manage apps listing within settings. I used Nord VPN and I found out that having started the VPN and then later switching use of the internet back to my phone (without having disconnecting the VPN), the next time I wanted to switch back to the Firestick, Voom wouldn't let me sign in the Firestick while the VPN was running. So if you can't turn off the VPN while not being connected to the internet, you will have defeated yourself. Maybe I got lucky. Nord VPN was launchable in the manner that Downloader app was launchable. So I was able to recover.
Just another detail that will probably only be more confusing to you.

If you like variety of sodas, and powerade, you need to use the cup at the freestyle machine. I'm a fan of using it!
But hey, to each their own.  I have so many of them at home on a shelf, so last week I just put it in the garbage before I disembarked.

    Welcome to the message boards.
I am very sorry you were denied boarding because of the certificate. Did your certificate have the raised seal on it, since it was the original? I've never heard of an "old format" or a "new format" so I'm curious what it means exactly.

I haven't had a cup waiting in my cabin upon embarkation since pre-Covid.  If I want it, I need to pick it up at a bar.  I never want it, so I don't pick it up, and I don't need to bring it home. It's a  much better system, imo.

MarcBerger reacted to twangster in Amtrak train from NJ to Port canaveral... first timeplease help
Many people who fly spend a night in an Orlando area hotel before taking a ride-share or shuttle service from Orlando to Port Canaveral the day of the cruise.
There is no reason you couldn't do the same but by train.  Take the train to Orlando, either spend a night in Orlando or if you get in early enough take a shuttle or ride-share to the Port area and spend the night in a hotel there.
The same wisdom applies, don't fly or arrive by train on the day of the cruise.  Plan to arrive at least one day early and spend a night in a local hotel either in Orlando or near the Port.

Ah man!  You were able to eat in the MDR!
Since Royal has neutered My Time Dining by starting at 6:45pm I haven't had the fortitude to stand in line for 45 minutes starting at 6:15pm to attempt to eat in the MDR.   If they offered bar service while standing in line for MTD it might be better.  Heck I'd pay $20 per drink plus 18% gratuity while standing in a line that doesn't move for an MTD hour to get a drink.
Instead I've been relegated to the WJ where I can always find something and as someone who has eaten exclusively in the WJ for the 80 nights I've spent aboard in 2022 (so far) it does change nightly which is why the WJ is truly underrated.
The only reason I'm not giving up on Royal despite how they have ruined MTD is because the WJ is actually a pretty decent dinner venue.  I can choose from several different types of salads (more than that's offered in the MDR), more variety of dinner rolls and many different foods that aren't offered in the MDR at all and I can choose how much of each to load (or not) on my plate.
Naturally since you are busy not enjoying the MDR you aren't in the WJ to see the ever changing nightly selections so I understand you don't see the variety available in the WJ.
Wait... did I just find your YT channel?

Starlink receives approval for another 7,500 satellites.  There are currently around 3,500 Starlink satellites so this is a significant FCC approval that continues the build out towards the desired 30,000.
