I wanted to comment for all of the non-iPhone users. If you get your SetSail pass but don't have your room assignment, GooglePay may not prompt you to add it. You can still see the number underlying the barcode by using a barcode scanner app. I took a screenshot of mine, then used an app to read the barcode from the image.

We're 84 days out and don't have our official assignment, but we have a room from the barcode. That room does not appear to be available to book on RCCL or through our travel agent, so I am assuming that it is indeed reserved for us. I'll be sure to report back when we get our official assignment!

Sounds about right.  Flu vaccines have a few drawbacks:
1).  They take about two weeks to be fully effective.
2).  They do not cover all strains.  The researchers each year have to make estimates on which strains will be the most prevalent.  There are always strains out there that we are not protected from.
Don't get me going about overeating.  My Dr. put me on a crazy diet.  In less than a month it will face the biggest test yet ... Cruising On A Diet.
    ?
Sounds like a horror movie title.

You need to call and tell them that you want your points transferred right away so you can purchase things on the cruise planner.. I had them put my points on the cruise planner about a year in advance..

From experience, using the online redemption approach can take some time. I was told, after asking, that it will be posted as late as week prior to sailing. Also from experience, if you call and request that it be expedited (for an upcoming black friday sale for example)  it can post immediately.

It didn't show up for me until two weeks prior to boarding (I redeemed it in January, it showed up in June).  I have heard that if you call RCCL Visa and ask them to apply it immediately, they will do so.

This is still a very small sample set, but it continues to tell a consistent story (see the three inflection points).  We just got assigned our room number (14 days from sailing).  I can also verify the the "Apple Wallet" hack worked.  We knew over 40 days ago what our GTY Balcony was.
As always, if you have data, just reply and I will add to the spreadsheet.

Ocean view is a window. Probably round, over the headboard of the bed.
Being low in the ship generally means less motion. Think of a pendulum on a clock. The end closest to the clock moves less distance than the end further away from the clock. Motion is pretty much totally dependent on the ocean. Most of the time you never notice it, especially on the lower decks. That is why ice shows and theatrical productions are low in the ship. Less movement for cast to deal with.
Being low in the ship, at the stern, means you may hear more of the engines. Not really loud, just a back ground hum. The sounds of the ship machinery vs the ocean are just a little different compared to the upper decks where you are more apt to hear people, bands, the general hubbub of ship life. None of this is really loud or concerning, just a bit different. If you are really sensitive to night time noise, think about bring ear plugs. Otherwise, you may find it somewhat comforting or you may not even notice it. Overall you are more apt to be disturbed by the occasional loud passenger or door slamming in a hallway, no different that staying in any hotel.  You will be off the 'beaten path' so to speak and 'people noise' will most likely be less.
The distance from some venues will  be further. Pools will be further away though some food and shopping may be closer than if you were on the upper decks. With elevators it barely matters. If you like to take the stairs, you can get a bit of extra exercise.
Overall, I would say there is little to be concerned about. Enjoy your cruise.

Another advantage of a stateroom on a low deck:  On port days, you don't need to wait for the elevators.  Just zip up or down the stairs!  The elevators can be very crowded in the afternoons when most people are returning to the ship.

Yes, the Cruise Compass is referencing the MDR attire for the night. On these shorter cruises, it tends to be more casual. You can feel comfortable wearing jeans pretty much every night, just no shorts (that’s what they will say but you’ll still see them). Specialty dining is listed as smart casual.
