  1. Another vote for St Augustine (very cool town with lots to see and do) and Kennedy Space Center (just an amazing experience).
  2. We also live where Matt lives and there are FREE drive thru tests available at every Walgreens...and there are a lot of them in the area. And yes, they are accepted by Royal. We have been on two cruises post COVID and have had no issues with the tests from Walgreens. You should have no problem getting tested prior to your cruise. Enjoy!
  3. We just got a military discount for a cruise on Indy next month...$354.00. Keep checking and repricing your cruise up until your final payment is due
  4. Our pre-cruise gifts have always been in our stateroom when we arrived.
  5. We were on Harmony in December and the Broadway show was Grease, the aqua theater had a show called Hideaway Heist, the ice show was 1887 and then there were two comedians in the main theater one night. Definitely recommend the aqua theater and the ice show. It is truly amazing what those performers can do. Grease was just okay and strayed very far from the original movie story line...not my favorite.
  6. We always stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites Brickell or Homewood Suites Brickell. It's a great area that is close to shopping and restaurants as well as close to the port (10 minute drive).
  7. I definitely second the vote for Painkillers (Schooners and the Pool Bar) and beers at the pub. There is just something about the live music and the atmosphere of the pub that we love.
  8. Price drop yesterday for Holiday Oasis cruise...saved $335 on an ocean view balcony. that almost covers my drink package
  9. There are also towel stations on Coco Cay so you don't have to carry towels on and off the ship.
  10. Both my husband and I are retired military and the military discount has been hit and miss for us. We have gone on eight cruises with Royal and have only received a military discount twice. We have had better luck getting Florida resident discounts. The only advice I can offer is to keep checking for price drops and discounts. Good luck and thank your dad for his service.
  11. We always order the strawberries and champagne to have during sail away. They have always been in our room when we get there on boarding day.
  12. Don't wait till the end of the cruise to do every thing. As another poster stated the ship is huge with so much to do for everyone. We love to play a round of mini golf every cruise, slide down the ultimate abyss and climb the rock wall. Spend some time exploring the ship's bars and talking with fellow cruisers and the bartenders. We have found some of our new favorite drinks thanks to suggestions from others. Check out the Solarium Bistro for breakfast and dinner. Good food and way less crowded. And ENJOY! You are on a cruise.
  13. Great news! Safe travels. We will be on the first US sailing on 11/14!
