Yes but that whole section started with protocols and such for Uk and European sailing. I still inferred it to mean UK and Europe sailings because it is the US testing issues that make it hard for US citizens to travel to and from the UK. Prior in the article they talk about hoping that cursing is fully back by Dec. I have bookings for Nov and couldn't book certain rooms because they are holding them back for quarantine. Testing will go away but not by April 14 or the summer.

Those ranger cookies are my favorite.
-
They are rare and usually only offered on sailings towards the last few days....i.e day 4 or 5 in a 7n cruise. I recall they only offer them when bev sales are on the lower end.

That will depend on your level. I am only prime so my free offers are interiors and I have paid the upgrade to balconies, don't know about RoyalUp.

Cruise Planner Balance Payment
Ampurp85 replied to Reigert2008's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The op made purchase online but paid for it with promotional OBC. They repriced and lost the OBC so now they have a balance. CP does glitch so it probably wouldn't allow to go back and pay the balance they now have with the loss of OBC due to repricing. -

Harmony OTS, whcih way is forward, or aft?
Ampurp85 replied to sunset1031's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Harmony is huge and the carpet is pretty basic. But each hallway will have signs along the wall and by elevators telling you where you are. -
@Lexster You can also ask for smaller portions of entrees if you want to try a lot of things.

I think, 100%, testing will stay for a while. I could see vax requirement going before testing. But I believe that there is no way all the restrictions get dropped by this summer. The CDC dropping the threat level doesn't indicate that they believe cruising is "safe" or backtracking on their harsh treatment. I think the CDC realized we have to create our new normal. Everyone is doing this. Restaurants nor longer have floor plans that are about packing as many people as possible into a small space. Cruise ships will probably have quarantine rooms set aside for years now, so 100% capacity will look different. As to the person who asked if I worked for RCG. Nope. @Midwest Cruiser I read the entire article and that quote implies about testing for the UK and such. Not pre-cruise testing.

No real set amounts. Between what I spent and won over 5 cruises since oct 21' to now, I would say my actual losses are under $500 and I have been getting free interiors plus credit offers each month since Jan. It is really all about the points. Every $5 is 1 point but you can earn points on house money. If you get 400+ points in a sailing they will issue a certificate. It can be money off or a free sailing. I once got 400 points on $100 because I kept winning.

I am sorry to hear about your daughter and thank God she is fairly okay. Since you are more than a month away, I have no doubt her situation should continue to improve, I am putting that positive energy into the universe. That being said I would circle back to her every week until you leave and see how she continues to improve. Maybe she will be okay with motion sickness medicine and want to cruise. Yes, her activities might be limited but given all that she is going through the small discomfort might be worth it.........and YOLO!
-
Since it is no longer Vax vs. Unvax venues I would imagine so. The only thing I heard that still wasn't available to unvax children was hibachi and that might be changing soon as well.
-
You implied that 100% isn't possible with the current restrictions and I just stated it has happened. They might not reach 100% without the protocols, as plenty of sailings I had been on before covid weren't at 100%. Yes, RCG wants to get and stay in the black, but I believe they will do it with the least amount of liability.
-
Usually 9-10 months before the sailing starts. I have some sailings in Jan 23' that only have options for PDCC now and nothing else. I am hoping that around May or June I will be able to start purchasing my dining and such.
-
It will be "new" normal if they want to continue to sail. Considering they have had some ships to reach 100% with the testing and vax in place, your point is moot.

Mask or not/cruise or not Anthem 3/27
Ampurp85 replied to Pattycruise's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
There will be a lot of anecdotal evidence either way. More people are now on cruise ships and so it might be more or less people who test positive. -
Time will vary and I say anything over 30 days, I would call. I got one refund in only a few days. But I did a bunch of UDP refunds, and it took almost 3 weeks.

No its considered embarkation day, the same way departure is only a departure day because you are getting on and staying or leaving only. I think most, if not all specialty restaurants, Wonderland comes to mind, are open from noon to 2pm on embarkation. I have enjoyed Jamie's, Chops and Izumi on embarkation day across multiple ships.
-
I was being facetious as it's not a "covid" card but a vax card.

The unlimited factor of the unlimited dining package
Ampurp85 replied to Raven's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
Yes, I think Chops is the only place were ordering multiple entrees aren't allowed. -
Chops + 1 Dining Package - A La Carte Dining?
Ampurp85 replied to Matt F's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
So Chop+1 is a good value but remember its just 2 seating's. For a 3-night cruise this is great as you can have dinner at Chops plus another restaurant of your choice for what Chops probably cost if you brought it a la carte on board. -
It could be sold out. The embarkation lunch window is small, like 2hrs I believe.
-
You will get a certificate/code after April 25th that you can use for your free cruise.

What's a covid card???

There isn't a portside BBQ, a paid restaurant, on Allure because she hasn't been amped. There will be ribs and some barbequed items at the Windjammer as well at Perfect Day CocoCay. Those places are complementary.
