  1. Think of the Main dining room as really good catered food - like the best wedding food you ever had. If you are a "foodie", then it probably won't measure up. I think its great, but I have had better meals at really nice restaurants but those were cooked to order. I do enjoy not having to worry about the cost of ordering appetizers and dessert. I also enjoy the interaction with the wait staff and like that they will learn our preferences as the week goes on. We have typically done 1 night in a specialty restaurant and do think they are a step up in food. We are trying the 3 night package in a few weeks on Adventure and I am interested to see how we like it vs the main dining room. I love good food, but honestly tend to choose casual/family style restaurants at home vs fine dining even though I could afford to eat at more expensive places.
  2. Yes, but I wouldn't expect it to be canceled at this point.
  3. 13 days away for me. We will be dropping our stuff into our cabin, then heading to Chops to finalize our 3 night dining reservations, then getting something to eat. After that, we will be getting a drink! Or maybe 2. My favorite part of the first day is sail away, I plan to be on the helicopter pad!.
  4. I don't disagree that DeSantis needs to find a way to back off on this. And you have been great with your posts on this issue. I hate when newspapers basically make up stuff in order to make DeSantis look bad. He has already stated what the response would be (fines) Why create a false story just to scare people? I'm sure the Miami Herald is just mad they didn't think of this first.
  5. The Sun Sentinal may be the worst newspaper in America. The FL law doesn't even allow for this and it is wrong for them to suggest that he "won't hesitate to send in troopers". The most that Desantis can do is fine Celebrity $5000 per occurance.
  6. Yes, It is pretty easy to drop/add extra people.
  7. I put Adventure of the Seas as my hotel. It was confusing to fill out but they seem to be getting approved quickly.
  8. It often sells out and the prices go up quickly. I have been able to book twice at $79.99 but it usually jumps to double that. I will be there is a few weeks and will let you know if I think it was worth it.
  9. Correct - it looks like it opened up for AOS through July
  10. It definitely did not work in Jan 2020 on Liberty. My family used Whatsapp - its a web based text app that works as long as you have wifi.
  11. Check in is now available for the Adventure of the Seas cruises - I'm not sure how far out. I checked in for my June 12th sailing
  12. We have known since we booked that the protocols would be changing up to the last minute. I was mentally prepared for full masks and social distancing protocols. I am also prepared for there to be some serious hiccups being the first post covid cruise in North America - I guess the check in thing is one of those.
  13. I am also coming in on Friday. We can apply for our Bahama Health Visa tomorrow.
  14. I want to check in early AND am an obsesive planner!
  15. We got our "e-docs" yesterday so its not cancelling. I'm sure they are working on figuring out what documents they need from us and what they need to check in at a remote location (British Colonial Hotel ballroom). I'm guessing that some of it may be done maually at check in.
  16. My wife likes frozen margarita's. I cannot remember seeing them at any of the ship bars. Am I missing a spot to order one?
  17. Great news! Better late than never.
  18. The suite area is the area accessible by the stairs
  19. Keep in mind, there is a lot of extra value with the 2 days at Coco Cay.
  20. There is a suite only section at the main pool. It is actually stepped up stadium style and would not be easily accessible. There is a suite lounge w concierge but no coastal kitchen.
  21. You are 100% correct but the biggest factor is that the CDC is making non vaccinated cruising impossible in the short term. The cruise lines and the CDC have been going back and forth for months and have gotten nowhere. We will find out next week (we think) what agreement they came to, but I suspect the compromise was to allow cruises with 12 and up vaccinated. RC is running a business, and the most important thing right now is to get ships sailing with passengers. I suspect that as these cruises run without significant issue, then reasonable protocols will eventually allow non vaccinated to cruise also.
