This will be true at almost all ports in the Caribbean. I always ask the person organizing the taxi rides at the station what the fare will be and verify with the taxi driver. In some ports you may share a ride.

Yes, I'm on Liberty now. No masks, including ports (Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan) - only boarding and disembarking due to federal transportation mask mandate. No social distancing at events, dance floors, etc You can sit at the bar again! No reservations for shows - except Ice Show. No checking in/out to windjammer It feels like Covid never existed!

If you used a travel agent, you will need to do it through them. If you booked direct, you can just call Royal.

The staff on the ship will go out of their way to accommodate. As said above, go in advance to talk to the restaurant Mgr. I'm sure they can accommodate with something your child can eat.

We just got back from a great day in Roatan. We booked in advance for a private tour with Rony's Tours. https://ronystours.com/ We were picked up just outside the gate by Rony in an air conditioned van. The cost was $90 for 3 people. This is basically for a driver who knows the island and can customize your day. You pick what you want to do and he will let you know the cost. We had told him when we booked that we wanted to do zip lines and go to the beach for snorkeling. We decided this morning after having spent the past 2 days in Cozumel and Costa Maya at the beach to see about switching it from the beach to one of the monkey/sloth places. We told Rony when we got to the van and it was no problem to make the change. We also asked to have lunch at a place that served local catch seafood. He brought us to Pirates Cove extreme zip line which was a lot of fun. We went to Daniel Johnson's for the sloths and monkeys and then to Gio's for lunch which was amazing. I included a picture. Rony is great and the price for a private driver is well worth it in Roatan. There are many choices of things to do on his website and you can book a small group tour if you want to save a little.

The mask requirement is only for Adventure Ocean. They do not need to wear masks anywhere else on the ship. -

You should get the email soon. Usually 5 to 7 days out. Check your spam folder if you haven't already. -
Unfortunately, you must pay with your seapass.

This is an area that I have always found was lacking.

I'm not sure what that is, but I feel safe in saying no.

We just got back from 1st day lunch at Windjammer and all of the covid protocols have been removed except for crewmembers serving the food. You no longer need to scan your card at entry and all tables are in use.

We were at Orient Beach in November and there are several beach clubs that are fully open. The Beach is in great shape and it is as pretty as ever. Kontiki Beach SXM - Home | Facebook

To answer your original question, It doesn't really matter. Either way will work.

Usually the best price is the day the cruise is released for sale. Use MEI as a travel agent and you will get repriced for any price changes. You can also do this yourself if you book directly but you will have to watch the prices and call Royal to do this.

There are many reason's why it may be cut short. Usually it is because they need to get moving to the next port. They also need to schedule the departures so that all the ships are not leaving at the same time.
-
Yikes, I'm scheduled there next week. You scared me with the thread title.. I'll try to find out what's going on.
