  1. I would just order multiple rides from Uber/Lyft - probably still cheaper than ordering a limo/van service.
  2. Grand Bahama is not a good cruise stop - or at least wasn't last June. I think AOS out of Nassau stopped there just to refuel and take on supplies.
  3. Does the Suite Lounge on Liberty have free drinks at happy hour?
  4. With the way the airlines have been recently, I highly recommend coming the day before. I use Lyft in Miami with no issues. Cabs are plentiful as well, but I prefer to pay by card and cabs make it difficult.
  5. I'm so done with the CDC - hopefully the cruise lines tell them to go .........!!!
  6. I definitely watched the YouTube videos on Super Mario with interest. I'm not sure I could permanently move to a cruise ship, but I admit the idea is appealing. I would have interest in one of the world cruises once I retire. I definitely want to be able to do more than one week at a time which I am stuck with because of work.
  7. I doubt it. Normally, they will want to sell the cruise up to the last minute. My guess is that they are at capacity already - or that they had oversold the JS category.
  8. It's not necessary, but there is no reason that a child couldn't use the app if they have their own phone. They can set up their own account.
  9. It's kind of a gimmick to get you to call the Royal Sales Dept. Everyone gets these emails. As stated by @twangster, I highly recommend using a TA if you are planning a cruise. I also use MEI.
  10. It's best to schedule excursions for one hour after the ship docks- so 9am. You will probably be able to get off at around 8:30 but it can vary.
  11. Nope - $440 pp - I think $400 was the minimum. I think they wanted my JS. I was actually a "guarantee" up to about 2 weeks ago when they gave me a cabin number.
  12. I was very surprised to see my bid to jump from a Junior Suite to an Owners Suite was accepted today - 32 days out! It was on Liberty of the Seas March 13th.
  13. This, we need to get over our fear of Covid. Vaccinated people have very little risk of getting more than mild symptoms.
  14. Royal doesn't list Roatan as a port where vaccinated guests are required to book a ship excursion. I wonder why Celebrity would be different. I'm in Roatan next month on Liberty and have a private tour booked so I hope this is not a change for all cruise lines.
  15. In St Maarten, just get a cab from the port to take you to any beach you want. In most cases, you can arrange with the driver to pick you up at a certain time.
  16. I worry a lot more about my wife in the spa vs my 15 year old when it comes to spemding.
  17. Disappointing. I was hoping for a return to looser mask requirements now that Omicron has peaked in the US. I'll still go on my March cruise on Liberty but honestly, there are a lot of vacation options that don't require masks.
  18. At today's stick price, it would take 75 week long cruises to get back the expense of buying the stock. I wouldn't buy it just to get the perk.
  19. I don't believe there are any specific organized activities for this age group. She will be able to do any adult activity on the ship and be in any nightclub, she just won't be able to actually order alcohol. She will not be able to participate in the organized teen activities.
  20. I'm using Rome in Limo for our cruise in June. I am doing a custom day tour of Rome and will just have the driver leave us at our hotel in Rome. They can also just do pick up/ drop off. Rome In Limo
  21. That seems about right for Roatan for the tour only - add on's are extra (any stops that have a fee). Roatan is a very poor country. I would personally tip about $20 per person.
  22. Cabs are very easy to get at the port. You can probably make arrangements for the same driver to pick you up at a set time, although there will be plenty of cabs at a popular place like Maho beach.
