  3. What do you mean ? Your Genie created a schedule without consulting with you first ? This isn't really a big deal. You can do whatever YOU want to do. I'm sure the Genie was just trying to be proactive. Sometimes it's a waste of their time but they usually try and do SOME kind of pre-planning. You cannot go back. I wish you could, but you can't. ? It is easier when you cruise on a ship that doesn't have SC.
  4. Very interesting. I've never done this event but had no idea that they would limit ANYthing with a name like "bottomless". Pretty cheesy, actually.
  5. Denise, they definitely SHOULD respond to you prior to boarding to confirm that what you have asked for has been accomplished. I am not very familiar with Elaine but Jeremias is excellent. I would be very very surprised if they do not get back in touch with you before embarkation. I still have not heard from the Brilliance Concierge. Somewhat annoyed about that. We sail on 11-25. If I don't hear anything today I will be sending a proactive email their way.
  6. Are you referring to the northern Europe one that Matt just announced ? Unfortunately, not at the moment. Our cruising lives for 2021 are going to have to slow down due to our planned move to Florida. After that though....no holds barred !!! Right now, the only group cruise into which we are booked is the New England cruise on Brilliance next October.

  8. Just a note, if you have not stayed in a London hotel before. As a GENERAL rule, the rooms are much smaller than we, Americans, are used to. I made a horrible choice for my hotel a few years ago. I absolutely LOVE London...but the hotels....not so much. I vowed never to stray from an American big-name brand again. I was hoping for a quaint local hotel and got a run-down, no-elevator broom closet. Be careful.

  10. UGH. You know how bad I am at this...but I will make a special effort. I might EVEN try a live blog. I just hate lugging a camera around - even a cell phone. But this is going to be a special cruise. I will do it for YOU, Sabrina !
  11. Yes, it was on the flyer but not yet showing on the website. Maybe I will get lucky and Michelle will be able to book it even though it's not yet on the website.
  12. I just got an email from my Genie. She told me that all staterooms have been refreshed. "New carpets, drapes, TVs and more" were her exact words. YIPPEE !!!
  13. It is not on the website though. I asked Michelle to see if she could book it. I haven't heard back from her yet.
  14. We have been getting our snail mail offers for the past couple of weeks. There was a period of time when we weren't getting them, though. The offers are awful so we just dump them in the trash but we ARE getting them.
  15. So how many nights did you spend in Bayonne tied up at the dock ?
  16. No...you will have no problem getting reasonable reservations as long as you make your reservations soon after boarding. With each passing day the reservations fill up and it becomes harder to get a time and location that you want but if you make them early, you should have a good selection of times and locations. We always get the UDP and only maybe twice have we ever had to dine at an inconvenient time....and that was when we cancelled our original reservation and had to rebook. I think we ended up eating at 9:30 but that's really about the only time that has ever happened. The only reservations that are made prior to boarding are those that are made by people who pay full price for their specialty dining (pre-purchase dining through the Cruise Planner). All dining package reservations are made on board so there are really plenty of locations and times available on day 1.
  17. I think they have relaxed the rule about not taking drinks out of the Diamond Lounge. Back in the day they used to restrict the "free" drinks to the lounge but now that they have implemented the 3 drink "coupons" on your seapass, they don't really worry about it anymore. We very often take drinks out of the lounges. Yes, it is my understanding that you can "give" your free drinks away if you so choose. There will always be people who try and take advantage of the complimentary drinks, unfortunately. That's how we end up losing loyalt perks !
  18. The Diamond Happy Hour "coupons" are only good during the normal Happy Hours. They are generally good at any bar and in the MDR. Not sure if they are good in the specialty restaurants. Congratulations on making Diamond !!!
  19. Yikes ! Sounds like the Star Class food coma is coming early to 10730 ! I love Alan from afar. What great service ! So happy to hear it. Interested to hear how Alan handled reserved seats at Mama Mia for the second half of the show. Did he have to “stand guard” over your “Reserved” seat covers to ensure no one removed them ? Must have been tricky.
  20. OMG they have those horrific metal chairs ! They’re horrible. My fanny does not fit in them and they are SO uncomfortable. Looks like delivery only for us !
