Guys, strange things happened...
Was notified by my TA about 4-5 days ago that Royal is moving reservations of all inboard purchases, like excursions, etc into the new system.
So all would cancel and rebooked automatically. That happened like a day or two later, smoothly without any problems...
But today I see that my credit card received all refunds for that cruise purchases. They still showing up as reserved, rebooked in history.
Just afraid something would be canceled or worse down the line. It was for the Icon cruise later this year.
Did this happened to anyone else right now? Anyone have any info on this stuff happening?

Yes, it is the 19th. I have yet to find any info about a cure for the issue.
So what's wrong with 19th ?!?
Cure, is only to either by yourself or your TA to keep complaining to Royal!
Officially, having them open ticket, then eventually they will fix it!
If ticket is opened they can't continue ignoring it and have tickets opened and not resolved !!!

I got the same problem with Odyssey saiiling on Jan 6th; can't even check in. If anyone finds a solution let us know ♥
OMG
Why can't check-in?
So what are you going to do?
I thought website would work without the app in case of check in problem , since I could make reservations on website just fine

I have no problems for any of mine, none of which are May 19th. My signature has my dates.
Got it, so problem isn't Wonder itself.
But maybe this specific date...
Trying to figure out how to get it resolved. No one been able to help so far...

FWIW, I have no issues pulling up any of my 4 future Wonder cruises.
And the one with a problem is it the same date?

My Wonder cruise in May is encountering the same problem.
Is it the 19th?
Were you able to find out anything more about this problem or when it will be fixed?

It’s interesting. RC will need to sell 5 Oasis class, 4 Quantum class, and 2 Icon class every week. That is more than 55,000 people a week. Perhaps there are this many people who can pay current prices indefinitely, but it seems a stretch to me. We shall see.
I think you forgot that either 1 or 2 Oasis ships will be doing short cruises. Do twice a week.
There's still Wonder , Utopia and Symphony unaccountant for for the new schedule. Only 1 will be probably in NJ. The other 2 most likely short cruises.

Reinstallation as mentioned, seems to be the most common fix, sorry it hasn't worked for you.
The Google App Store ratings are kind of generous IMO..... I believe the latest iteration of it has turned it more into sales bloatware than a useful pre-cruise or onboard tool. I've noticed it goes absolutely dead now within 7 days of your last cruise if you have nothing booked as well. Our points for last trip weren't credited but are correctly displayed on the website.
This absolutely have nothing to do with any installation or reinstall.
Issue is completely different. It's working perfectly for other reserved cruises.

I am on Wonder this coming April. The App has the orange banner, "Sorry, we hit a snag...."
Everyone in my family is having the same issue. Anyone else run into this problem?
It shows the cruise, but will not let me do anything on the App.
Hi, any luck getting app working for this cruise?
My TA is no help.
Worried if everything is OK with reservation or why it's happening only with this cruise. Or maybe it's a problem with Wonder of the seas...

I booked a November cruise to Nassau and have had the same issue with the app. I was told it was a glitch and they're working on it and if possible to make any pre-cruise purchases (drink package, excursions) online instead of on the app. I've been told it will definitely be fixed before the cruise date. Fingers crossed and happy cruising!

I am using the mobile app. I have 2 upcoming cruises. When I pull up the 1st cruise. It has an orange banner and says we hit a snag, try again later. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and when I had someone else try on their phone they get the same message. It has been like this for over a month. The 2nd cruise is fine on the app. I called and they told me IT was looking into it but no luck so far. Does anyone know how I can fix this.

What ship and date is your cruise?
I'm wondering if it's the same one with a problem.

Because historically you get the best prices on the first day they are offered. This is a huge shift in their business practice.
Practice, specifically for Icon class is complete 180 now.
On date of release you pay 200% of average cruise prices...
And then closer to the sail date, it goes close to 300% of average cruise price...
And this is facts. Not just my BS.
I was thinking whether I should pay on Icon release $3000 or little more for inside balcony...
Now Star comes along and price of smallest inside cabin goes for around $4200-$4500.
It's not just ridiculous, it's pure insanity.
I've been with Royal for almost 20 yrs and now, I have no idea how can I experience the best and newest what they advertise and build...

Interesting comparison (pricing comparison to) between Star and the new Celebrity Xcel posted by Allie today:
I've commented on that on Facebook...
I've also checked many cruises summer - fall 2025 on Celebrity. Been Royal friendly for like 20 yrs...
And it's much worse then that article...
Celebrity's prices, which is Premium line for Royal Caribbean Group, are even cheaper!!!
Difference is 200% or more...
Deluxe Interior is around $2200.
Same week on Icon or Star is $4500 for smallest, tiniest interior cabin. Which is almost 25% smaller.
It's not only doesn't make any sense paying 2x-3x the prices of newest other ships from Celebrity, Princess, MSC, Norwegian...
It's just much, much more then so many Royal's loyal customers can actually afford.

But you're saving almost $46K!
Awesome
I'll definitely take the savings and shop elsewhere...
Royal Carribean is a definitely helping it's sister cruise line...
Heading for Celebrity. Rumors are they should be releasing the rest of 2025-2026 Carribean deployment tomorrow, Thursday !!!

I booked an aft facing balcony with gratuities for $5500 today for the September 14th 2025 sailing.
Yes, prices in the middle of September is just a bit cheaper, but not much. Been there, done that. No thanks...
That's right in the middle of hurricane season, when most of hurricanes actually happen.

Looks like they’re eliminating the advantage of booking far in advance, for this ship at least. Usually booking 2 years in advance would mean lowest price, or close to it.
Actually, now for Icon class of ships, scenario is difference.
You either book 2 yrs in advance and pay 200% of average cruise prices of all other cruises companies, including themselves.
Or you book closer to the sail date and pay 300% percent of reasonable rates.
It's just pure madness and insanity. What Royal is doing with Icon prices now.

Prices are just insane... Some are 1.5-2 times higher than what I've booked on Icon when it came out...
Priced cheapest inside cabin, NOT 1st sailing, not holiday...
$4500
This is on par or higher than luxory cruise lines...

Like @Lovetocruise2002 said, after the Icon prices, I'm not surprised one bit by Star's prices.
What's interesting is how the Icon prices fell since going on sale.
You can get on the Icon inaugural now for ~$3800 for 2 in an inside cabin. It wasn't too long ago that was about double. With a new ship, it seems a lot of people book just to book it, but end up cancelling before final payment.
I'm not saying Star's prices will also fall later, but it's worth noting the trend with Icon.
I'm very surprised...
Paid half the price on Icon...
This is just pure insanity
NOT inaguaral, but just priced a week in April
$4500 for smallest inside cabin...
-
-
Absolute insanity...
Prices smallest, cheapest cabin for November. NOT holiday...
$4000
That's almost DOUBLE the prices of newest ships in Celebrity, Princess, MSC.
That's probably the prices of luxury cruises.
I've been with Royal 25 yrs and can't afford to spend this prices.

I hear ya @Vlad…we sail Celebrity a lot actually. Sailed Edge last year and going on Beyond this year. Yes, Celebrity is a bit pricier but, IMHO, you get more bang for the buck. For example, we usually upgrade to at least a GS on Royal to get the full suite experience but on Celebrity, the Sky Suite(equivalent to a JS) allows full Retreat access AND includes Premium Beverage package and Premium Wi-Fi(since my Beyond was booked prior to the change, also includes gratuities and $800 OBC). To me, it’s worth paying more and the Edge Class ships are gorgeous. We find the food better as well.
Honestly too, Royal is out-pricing itself for Caribbean itineraries. My DH announced while we were on Wonder 2 weeks ago, that he was tiring of the Caribbean and is ready for other destinations. So Europe and Alaska, here we come. Pricing for those itineraries aren’t too bad. Celebrity Mediterranean itineraries are much more exciting and have better pricing too.
How did you book celebrity to get OBC? Can't really find group rates on Celebrity. Much easier with Royal.
If can't say it here, maybe private message...

I think they are pushing to attract new cruisers - so the new hotness, but then shorter cruises as people might be intimidated by 7+ days, so dip their tow in with the shorter cruises
They pushing to attract people who have no idea what's going on. They asking $1500 for 3 days cruise. It looks better then $4000, but come on people it's still a rip off...
-
With prices as such. Thinking more about booking Celebrity for 2025.
They're considered premium and used to be more expensive than Royal Caribbean. But now when Royal just wants to double the prices altogether, Celebrity is cheaper on so many itineraries. And new Edge ships are pretty good. Food is better as well.

Do you have anything booked specifically for Icon this year?
Guessing it has something to do specifically with Icon reservation system, since I have another cruise ship booked and nothing happened there.
