I love the classic MDR experience (knowing my waiter, trying different foods, etc....) and I cant see paying for food when great food has already been paid for? I will admit ive been accused of not having a discernible palate. Im not a foody, and food is fuel to me. Just my two cents....

I was well within 60 days. I dont think its OVER yet....as once it came back denied, Kelley said she was going to try to work to see if we can overcome that. Waiting to hear. Again, my brief interaction was extremely pleasant and I asked Kelley a lot of questions which she answered quickly and fully.

I have been cruising since I was very young. Adventure Ocean has always been my favorite kids program (as opposed to Carnival, Celebrity, and Holland America). Back then, we did arts and crafts, sports, scavenger hunts, watched movies, and played games. I never wanted to leave and I still have so much Adventure Ocean swag that I won. I even enjoyed the teens program on Royal Caribbean, too. You will receive an Adventure Ocean cruise compass every night in your cabin for your kids' age group for the day's activities.

MEI was able to transfer our cruise to them even though it was already paid in full. Think it depends on who they talk to at RCCL. Our agent kept after it and finally got it moved and we have used her ever since. Get some extra perks and they keep watch on the fare drops. Saved $600 on upcoming cruise in October with the kids and grand-kids after we had booked in January under her watchful eyes.
 

My agent had to contact a different dept because it was outside 60 days. Maybe the same thing for you,  took about 10 days altogether. Keep the faith.

There is an appeals process for denials but like many things Royal, YMMV.  
I got one switched after final payment due date once.  However I know that might not happen again.  

My grand kids (11, 10, 9 &7) all have loved the RCCL kids club and did not like the Disney (too much computer and not enough interaction by the staff). They were unsure going in but by the first evening wanted to go back all the time. The staff is great and we visited with them to make sure of their capabilities and training. We have an upcoming cruise in October with 2 of the G'kids and they are already looking forward to going and making new friends. Definitely go early and sign them up to avoid the crowds. Gives you a chance to look the place over and become familiar with the layout. Wish RCCL had the pager system as Princess but we have never had an issue.

The walkie-talkies always seemed like a good idea until we actually tried them about a decade ago. With the entire ship and the rooms being giant metal cages, inexpensive walkies seem to not do the job. 

WOW....thanks so much, Matt!!!!  That looks fantastic!!!! Way bigger than I imagined in my head. Having never seen AO on any other ship, this looks completely fine to me! lol Hoping my boys love it!! You really are the best, man. Thanks again. 

Unlike all the other ships, AO is basically one large room with curtains in the middle. Odd set up, relative to the rest of the fleet.
It’s essentially one large room, separated into three sections. The counselors described the set up as the Aquanauts having a glass door separator, but Explorers and Voyagers are basically together since the space is so small.

We are going to take ours on the first day when we go in October, im not sure if they will want to stay though. They are 5 and 9 and are always a little apprehensive to go in kids clubs initially but end up loving them, but being in different age groups im not sure if they will actually want to go in.

Be sure to get them registered early and if at all possible get them in there the first night. Even little kids form groups and it’s much easier when everyone doesn’t know each other than trying to join in the next day. 

My family and I are on this cruise (Rhapsody, Apr. 04) to celebrate my wife's 40th, and we chose an itinerary, not a ship.  My wife is from Honduras, and we really wanted our sons to see Roatan (as well as my parents, my brother and his wife). Weve done this itinerary before, on our honeymoon, and really enjoyed it. The only difference is, instead of Costa Maya we stopped in Grand Cayman. I will admit that after we decided on this itinerary, and I began looking at which ship it was, I wished it was a bigger ship....but still not sorry we made the decision we did.  As @Matt says....there isnt a bad ship in the fleet. 
Things to think about, and part of your equation....I am a bit curious, with this being Spring Break, will there be a ton of kids on the boat (thinking about how packed the smaller area for Adventure Ocean will be)? With it being Semana Santa in Latin America, what will the ports be like? I know in Honduras, Roatan (as well as the other Bay Islands and coastal towns) get VERY busy. I saw on Cruisemapper.com that the day were in Cozumel, there are 7 other ships there that day.  Ive booked Maya Chan, and Nachi Cocom in our Mexico ports so that the crowds are kept to a minimum. Its my first Holiday-esque cruise....so im very curious whats in store!
