Yes, the bus that you get on to go to the space center is the one you do the tour on, so there is essentially no wait.
When we did this, we got on the bus at the port, and headed to the space center. This same bus did the tour that you did previously that takes you around the center to the launch pads etc. There was no breaks or anything, so the bus tour essentially started at the port

I used Allianz.  I primarily got them for medical and medical evacuation coverage.  The trip delay and trip cancellation coverage where secondary to why I went with them but that is where I had trouble with them.
I left my house, the trip was underway when weather forced a delay that caused me to miss the ship.  My airline didn't fly to the next port of call so I had no recourse but to call it a cancellation which is what the initial call to the claims department suggested I file.  The issue started when someone at Allianz changed my submission to trip delay.  Which it wasn't since I could not ever catch up to the ship.  That grey area I became stuck in became my purgatory as they wouldn't consider it a cancellation or a delay.  Solution?  Denied.  So it took alot of fighting to get them to change their position.  They started citing clauses that weren't in my policy and that is where I caught them and ultimately what caused them to payout.  Weather caused it and there was no possible way to recover and make the ship - ever.  
That annual policy is still active and if I have a medical issue I'll likely need that form of coverage.  My concern is - if they fought me so hard on a simple claim under $1k what will happen if I have a $15k medical claim?

On Ovation, there are reports saying that the UDP has been accepted at Fish & Ships, as well as food in the pub. Also, it is under the list of restaurants included with the UDP on Royal's website (https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-restaurants-are-included-in-the-unlimited-dining-package) which means you will get a $35 food credit for each visit. Fish & Ships on Ovation has not only upcharge items like the halibut and lobster, but complementary options including normal fish & chips.

My travel agency, while waiting on hold to reprice a cruise offered this piece of advice.  
Change your screen saver or lock screen image to be your SetSail Pass or something the cruise line can use to identify you.  That super cool wallpaper that comes with your phone looks great but with a device locked no one from the ship can figure out who owns the most recent lost cell phone.
By using an image on your lock screen that the cruise line can reference if you lose your phone on board you stand a much better chance of getting it returned.   
Makes sense.
When you get home put it back to that super cool default lock screen image but while on board consider something that works to help you getting repatriated with your lost device.  

Nothing wrong with that.  To each their own.  
I traveled for business a fair bit which is pretty much solo traveling.  I became used to eating alone, having a hotel room to myself, being comfortable entertaining myself or just being alone with my thoughts.  However I can see how this could be strange for some people.  

I just checked online and saw our south beach cabana reservation for Dec 29th was gone!  We are on the phone with RC and it doesn't sound good.
UPDATE:  Sounds like South Beach Cabanas will not be ready due to the damage from hurricane Dorian.  They refunded our reservation but offered nothing else.  There are no other cabanas available when I checked the website.

You're lucky i'm not in charge, i would ban smoking indoors (to include the casino) and make the only place for smoking, in the aft (designated section) upper decks.  If you get caught smoking in a non-authorized location, you would be dropped off at the next port.  I'm surprised that Royal Caribbean hasn't been sued yet, by an employee that has been diagnosed with cancer from second hand smoke due to improper ventilation in the casinos.

The current smoking rules save me a fortune.  I avoid the casino on all ships but Empress which is smoke free.  I lose money on Empress so it's kind of an inverted blessing they allow smokers in the casino.

Since you are in an OS about a week before the cruise the suite concierge may email you.  If they do this is something you could run by them and ask for assistance with.

While I wasn't there for a cruise, I've stayed at the Element in Boston on D Street and really enjoyed it.  It had to be less than a mile from the terminal.  They definitely had a safe in the closet, so it sounds like it'll check all of your boxes @12thman.  I also believe it is in the Marriott family (it's Element by Westin), so that should make @WAAAYTOOO happy, too!  ?
