  1. COUNTERPOINT: I am extremely ready to see these vlogs! ? . Looking forward to the tour, and hope your transition is a smooth one!
  2. Also not a fan of them. This may not be accidental. Generate faster turnover. Portside BBQ: Eat yo' meat, then get out yo' seat.
  3. This is a recurring issue, as are all things web-related for RCI! They wee doing web maintenance today as well, so that certainly can't help things. Generally I just wait a few hours and refresh and ~poof!~ all of my Cruise Planner info is back again.
  4. Basically last-minute sailings. Any trip that's departing within the final payment period. You can usually find some pretty good deals on them if you're flexible, BUT you have to pay in full when booking. Pros and cons to everything!
  5. Forgot to mention, another advantage to linking the reservations is it makes it easier to book specialty dining together as well if you're so inclined. Have a great cruise!
  6. On cruise planner, you can link your reservations so that you can make your dining reservations together! That's probably the easiest way, but if you stop down to Main Dining Room the first day, I'm sure they'd be able to accommodate you, especially if you happen to have My Time Dining.
  7. Whenever anything "of interest" is seen. Generally speaking it's stuff that people didn't think about not being allowed on board (surge protectors, irons, etc.). Sometimes it's stuff people are trying to sneak on board (booze, in particular). Most of the time it's no big deal, you either explain what it is, they clear it and you're on your way or they inform you it's prohibited and return it at the end of the cruise. In your particular instance, even if security viewed it as no big deal, there seem to be bigger consequences at hand.
  8. Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to the pics! ?
  9. Bon Voyage, @Danielle OG! Hope to hear about your vacation when you return! ?
  10. Yes, you still have to make reservations for each show you want to see. Where the Key helps is with the actual seating. Rather than having to show up 30-40 minutes ahead of a popular show's start time to get decent seats, you will have seating reserved for you in a "prime" seating area up to 15 minutes before curtain.
  11. From my understanding, there's a pretty good chance it'll get flagged during x-ray and either you or your parents will be asked to come down and open the bag in the security room...
  12. Just wanted to chime in to say that I *love* this viewpoint!
  13. Any restaurant that is literally used to measure the severity of natural disasters gets two enthusiastic thumbs up in my book!
  14. Would need @Matt to confirm, but I think this is Raíces in old San Juan? 315 Calle Recinto Sur, San Juan, 00901, Puerto Rico http://www.restauranteraices.com/English/
  15. Sounds like you've already made your mind up, but I'm going to pile on with the pro-Grand Cayman folks. I'm not particularly fond of Jamaica, I love Cozumel/Play del Carmen, and Grand Cayman has some of the most beautiful water and beaches in the Caribbean.
  16. While I wasn't there for a cruise, I've stayed at the Element in Boston on D Street and really enjoyed it. It had to be less than a mile from the terminal. They definitely had a safe in the closet, so it sounds like it'll check all of your boxes @12thman. I also believe it is in the Marriott family (it's Element by Westin), so that should make @WAAAYTOOO happy, too! ?
  17. This one feels like autocorrect striking again. I'd imagine with all of the running those Genies do, most e-mails are done on mobile devices!
  18. Personally, I'm excited to see the rollout of this new plump card. Sounds inconvenient, but what a status symbol!
  19. This is 100% the best advice you could get. You need to speak with a TA immediately and get your reservation transferred to them, let an expert handle the legwork. If you don't know a reputable TA, there are dozens of experienced cruisers on this board who swear by MEI. I've not used them personally (yet), but many people I trust have.
