  1. Could they not send back some already vaccinated crew and redeploy the original Odyssey crew?
  2. We'll miss it, we like to have a read through it when we return to our cabin at the end of the day to see what tomorrow brings, it's not the same on a phone
  3. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/gbr/en/resources/booking-conditions These are the UK current UK booking conditions, not read them but which ones caused your concern?
  4. Can't see that you'll need one on Anthem this summer, it's only sailing around the UK and only available to UK residents.
  5. twangster, Royal Caribbean should employ you, feels like you know more about them than they do!!
  6. Could they have removed the early seating in the MDR due to reduced capcity?
  7. So will they take the easy option and mandate vaccination for all guests and crew?
  8. My biggest bug bear is the pricing difference between countries, take the recently announced Rhapsody sailings from Barbados, 7 night suite prices in Feb are from £1657 on the UK site, on the US sites they are from $1548, that's about £1120, we're being ripped off here in the UK
  9. 2 of our favorite places, Barbados and Rhapsody of the Seas, certainly like the look if some of the itineraries, and no better time of year to visit.
  10. Could Graneur be following her sister ships to Marella, they are already sailing Splendour and Legend of the Seas as Discovery and Discovery 2? https://travelweekly.co.uk/news/cruise/marella-cruises-eyes-fifth-ship-by-2023
  11. Or for a couple, just booked Explorer to the Islands next July, I'm already counting the days!!
  12. Anthem, 15th May 2022, Explorer 9th July 2022
  13. Ah, I didn't pick up on that, I'll try again next month
  14. On the Cruise planner it only lists the full price of £49, around $67. I added them to the basket to see if it reduced the price, but it didn't. It's a recent booking so perhaps the systems need to catch up, or perhaps the systems is broken, but that would never happen on an RC IT system would it?
  15. Just booked my first Celebrity cruise, so apologies if this is a daft question, we want to upgrade from the included classic drinks package, but am struggling to find out how. If I log into the cruise planner it gives me the option for premium drinks but charges me the full price. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
  16. Just booked our first Celebrity cruise, sailing from the UK in July. We compared the pricing with a similar sailing on Anthem and when you included drinks and gratuities, Celebrity was cheaper!! Really excited to be trying a new cruise line, but will will miss quiz nights in the Schooner bar.
  17. I called RC direct and they managed to create a guarantee junior suite for us as the sailing didn't have any, agent spoke to his manager who gave approval, the back office team created the room category and we're booked, 10-15 minutes on the phone, was very impressed.
  18. We sailed Rhapsody from Tampa in Feb 2020 and loved it. We had a midship junior suite on deck 8, didn't hear any noise. Being a smaller ship everything is nearby, didn't need to use (or wait) for a lift as we were happy to walk up or down a few flights of stairs. Ship was very very friendly, always found sun loungers whenever we wanted them, sure you don't get a Broadway show by that's not what we were looking for. If you're looking for a relaxing cruise, you can't go wrong with Rhapsody.
  19. Don't think we know for certain yet, their website states a bit of a get of of jail coverall statement, which given the circumstances isn't surprising Important Travel Notice Health and safety protocols, guest conduct rules, and regional travel restrictions vary by ship and destination, and are subject to change without notice. Due to evolving health protocols, imagery and messaging may not accurately reflect onboard and destination experiences, offerings, features, or itineraries. These may not be available during your voyage, may vary by ship and destination, and may be subject to change without notice.
  20. Have you seen the prices!!!! 8 nights balcony £1239, Celebrity is cheaper when you factor in the drinks and gratuities.
  21. I think it's not to bad, compare it to a week on Anthem in October, a balcony is £1319. The Celebrity price includes drinks, wi-fi and gratuity. RC is always expensive out of Southampton.
  22. Our May Anthem sailing cancellation we weren't given the option of 125% for our drinks packages, was refunded to the card within a week.
  23. Do they show any pricing, keen to compare them to the Celebrity prices?
  24. Be interesting to see how the pricing compares to Celebrity, they're doing similar itineraries, 8 days with drinks, tips and wifi in a balcony cabin from £1449, I thought that was quite competitive.
  25. Well that's cans our July NCL cruise, and frees us up to book a round the UK cruise or 2. We were struggling to choose between trying something new (Celebrity) or sticking with Anthem, perhaps we can do both ?
