  1. A normal baseline pulse-ox for someone without chronic respiratory disease is typically greater than 92%(some literature may say higher numbers) Anything lower than that starts becoming cause for concern.
  2. Here is a toast to your Dan, and to you @pamici
  3. I second the single malt, but from Islay. That red one looks interesting.
  4. When you register your kids from Adventure Ocean, you can specify who is able to pick up your kids. Just make sure that you put your friends on your form and vice versa, and you should be able to pick up each others kids.
  5. Based on other ships amplification, no. If the rooms are touched, it’s to replace a worn out sofa etc here and there.
  6. You can smile? but it does have to be on a neutral background and some other guidelines as well.
  7. When checking in you can upload a picture of yourself. The guidelines on the size etc will be there when you get to that section. The cruise line uses that picture to attach you to your seapass card so that there is an added layer of security. Each time your card is scanned, your picture pops up so they can verify the correct person is using the card. If you don’t upload pictures they will take them for you at the port when you check in at the pier. Even if you do upload pictures just expect to have them taken at the pier as well. They have done that with my past two cruises.
  8. Another tip, once on board and you are setting up your account. It will ask you for your name and booking number. Make sure you put it in exactly how it appears on your reservation. I kept getting and error when I would put my first name in as Greg, and not Gregory. I felt like such and idiot when I realized what I was doing wrong???
  9. Quick comment on masks. Don’t bother buying them unless you have the resources to use them correctly. N95 masks must be fit tested to make sure they are correct for your face, otherwise they are not effective and provide minimal if no protection. Surgical masks also are not recommended for preventing yourself from getting an infection. They are useful for people who are already infected in preventing large droplets from escaping when coughing.
  10. @VirginiaLawson, also welcome to the blogs, Like PRebecca said, wind is not only a factor but like you asked, the wave height is as well, and its up to the Captain to make the call, so us bloggers can only speculate. I was able to see a forecast, and the wind and waves, do look elevated, to numbers similar to where people have posted that the stop was cancelled. I hope this doesn't happen to you, but if it does just roll with it and have a great sea day instead. Excursions will be refunded Unfortunately these are things that are beyond our control and we have to make the most of a crummy situation. The way I see it is that a missed port is an opportunity to take another cruise in the future!
  11. I would say closer to the 45 minutes. I’ve been there twice and don’t ever remember it being anything more than the 45
  12. Have a great cruise! Enchantment was my first cruise ship. I’m looking forward to following along!
  13. Have a great cruise. Looking forward to following along.
  14. This was fun to read! Thanks for helping to soften my post cruise blues.
  15. Yes, the bus tour is a must see. Here is where I would focus to see the "big things" When you get off the ship and board the bus to the space center hopefully they do the bus tour right from there, if not, get in line for the bus tour right away, this will take you to the Saturn V building, and do that. It is absolutely amazing HOW BIG that rocket is in real life. Upon finishing that, you board back onto buses that take you to the main visitor center. From there, hit the Atlantis exhibit and go through that. By then, you will have seen some really cool things, and the kids will probably be into it at that point. Following that, you can walk through the rocket garden. I would then see where your timing is, then you can check out some of the other exhibits if timing allows. Some of the other exhibits you can go through pretty quickly.
  16. Anthem has a great adventure ocean area for the kids that is two decks. It has slides and everything for the younger kids, your little guy will love it. I can’t comment on the kids splash areas on Anthem, I didn’t pay that much attention to that area when I was on board.
  17. Yes, the bus tour is included whether you do the guided or not. If you have to opportunity, do that first, I've seen the line for that get long. For ours, its was done first as part of the ride over from the port. The bus tour goes all over the complex, you see the launch pads etc, and ends at the Saturn V complex. You then take another shuttle back to the main complex where you can see the space shuttle Atlantis, the rocket garden, Mars mission stuff, and more. Have a great time!
  18. In the cruise planner you are correct that you only put in your information because you are booking 1 cabana. They sort out the details when you get there. When you get to the cabana area, you are given wristbands, and the attendants will ask you how many you need, and may ask you names of who will be in the cabana with you so they know who is authorized.(This was for chill Island when we went. I believe the other areas have a similar check in experience.)
  19. We went to KSC and loved it. Having excursion tickets is better, because your admission to the KSC includes a bus tour. When on your own, you have to wait in line for that, whereas when you do the excursion, you get on those buses at the port, and the tour is done as part of the ride to the KSC.(At least that's how it was done for us) 1) Lots of hands on stuff, and neat things to see. There is a rocket garden, which has all sorts of different rockets that were used in the development of the space program. There are some things that you can climb on, get in etc. 2)There are plenty of things to see there. Your kids are at a tough age where they are "tool cool" to enjoy educational activities, but there are enough things to see, that they may do fine. I agree that they will probably like the space center more than Disney springs, which is basically an outdoor mall. 3) You will be fine on your own. We did the guided one and we went to all the different areas, and the guide gave us some info about what we will be seeing, and then cut us loose to explore. 4) If i remember correctly, we were told that there would be shuttles back to the ship throughout the day and when the last one was, and you needed to make sure you were on one of them. Overall, I think you will have a good time. When you go into the Saturn V building and the Shuttle building, there are movies, and preshows that you sit through that warms you up, and you get a glimpse of the program etc, and then you walk into the space with the actual spacecraft and the sheer size and how some are presented is really awe inspiring. Have a great time there!
  20. I've cruised out of Bayone in February. I don't mind the cold, and felt comfortable in just a sweatshirt the first night while up on the top decks. You will be fine without boots
  21. @FManke on Anthem I had great one. Other ships.....I've had road beef
  22. I have a few. My first happy place, is when we first approach the ship. I love the look on my kids faces when they marvel at the size of the ship. I also enjoy sitting on my balcony early in the morning, coffee in hand just looking out at wherever we happen to be at the time.
