I want to be upset about the prices going up, but I cannot.  I just paid $4.15 a gallon for gas.  Dinner for two at Taco Bell is $23.  Hamburger meat is $5.50 a pound.
We have had 2 1/2 years of high inflation.  We have to expect the cruise line to keep up with the climbing prices.

My Day 1 changes:
1.  Enforce the chair hog rules.
2. Change the recommended tips to a mandatory service charge.
3. Replace Cats with anything else.
4. No smoking in the casino.
5. Add about 25 tap beers to the Pub selection.

Okay, so you get to be "King" of RCCL.  There are a lot of opinions and ideas floating around on the board (maybe even a few complaints). 
What are changes that you would do to make for a better sailing experience?  Simply saying cheaper cruises in not an option here.  Lowering the price of add-ons is acceptable though.
Mine:
1) Drop The Key or give it some really nice benefits like 1 free Drink of the day. Bring back free room service. 10% or 20% off ala carte on board stuff with The Key.
2) Offer a lower tiered drinks package. Maybe a 5 drink per day package for a set lower price of $30 or $40/pp/day. 
3) Ban all the hard sell tactics at the Spa.  Mrs Fan won't even go to the spa anymore due to this issue (even after she asked not to be barraged with the upsell)

Update:
we couldn’t dock in Freeport because the ship we were going to take the place of was unable to move so we made the pivot to Nassau. However, we have now been informed that we have to stop in Port Everglades due to a medical evacuation of both a guest and a crew member. This is not supposed to impact our docking in Nassau.
I’m hoping that crew member and guest are okay and get the help they need. This is definitely the craziest cruise I’ve been on. I’ve attached a photo of our route so far.
I’m happy to be cruising and I understand that things happen.

I was on Indy this past weekend, and Next Cruise told me that I had to book my Annual Prime Cruise directly (on the phone) with Casino Group.  I actually made the call from my Cabin while we were waiting to get underway and was able to book fairly quickly.  (I did request a call back and had time to get a drink while waiting 😉 )  But the process worked great IMHO.  Good Luck, and hope this helps!!

You can but Next cruise has to wait for the Casino approval. 

So this is a bit off topic, but I found out something very interesting today.
It seems that the casino host can create a special card (similar to a Sea Pass card but good only in the casino, only good for the current cruise, and good only for machine play.  Will not work at the tables) that directs all of your casino points to someone else.  IOW, if I use this card when I play the machines, all of the points earned would go to Dans account or vise versa.  I know there are people who play someone else’s card in order to accumulate points for that other person, but I always thought this was “cheating”.  Not so !  It’s completely legit and I got such a card tonite !  So, going forward on this cruise, any points that I accumulate playing any machine, will go to Dans account and allow him to accumulate points more quickly, therefore, qualifying for a higher instant reward comp certificate.  I was stunned when I learned about this.  It seems completely counter to Royals attitude of minimizing casino perks.
This “hack” seems hugely advantageous to couples !  Since Dan and I have both already achieved Prime for next year and have no hope of reaching Signature individually, this combining of points would greatly advantage one of us to push forward to perhaps getting to Signature.  …and that is in addition to improving our onboard instant reward comps.
Who knew ?  I haven’t used the card yet but I will try it tomorrow and see how it works !  We still have 4 more days left on this cruise.

I think there's land purchased for a potential stop on the Space Coast somewhere...  but...  red tape and all...  maybe in a couple years.  The last I read, they're concentrating on Western FL Stops...  Tampa etc.  I guess we'll see!

United must just be artificially high at the start of a release window.

A code shared flight on Copa is over twice as much if I book via United than it is if I book direct on Copa

I am skeptical of this.  I would certainly try again.  If they have made this a new rule, it totally sucks !

My "straddle" cruise-which started  March 27 and ended April 6 has had the appropriate earned casino  points- earned  for the April 1-April 6 portion of my sailing added to my Club Royale account.  
 

Ours for the April half of our weekend on Indy just appeared as well… and not insignificant…Cheers!!

Yeah... I was on that Indy "straddle" cruise too...  I'm going this weekend so I'll check with the Casino Manager to confirm...  (I'll be disappointed as I got a bunch of points on 4/1 and 4/2...  🙄 )

I’m thinking it’s a little early to figure out since Royal is in the process to reset everyone to zero for the new casino year and still must add in the figures for past sailings.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a week or two more to get it straightened out.  I did confirm my points earned with the host while onboard  from the March portion of my sailing to the April portion and I’ll be keeping an eye on the situation.
