It actually works both ways! If you're sick, it keeps your deadly moisture particles from slapping more people in the face, and if you're not sick, a mask helps you not to breathe in as many deadly moisture particles if they happen to be around.

Yes! I have a random $100 on my Nov 2021 and $75 on Jan 2021 that was just added. I had completely forgotten about my May 2020 125% OBC that was never applied anywhere and just called to get it added to my CP. Now my Oasis Nov 2021 is fluuushhh with 1k of OBC. 🤞 Let us be really sailing by then please!

Not my quote, but someone hypothesized this new warning was a precursor to lifting the No Sail order.  Essentially, consider yourself fairly warned.

So I was frustrated that you could not read the sign so I snuck back over there to take a couple more pix.

As you all know, Dan and I are in FL doing some house biz.  We have finished all of that for now and are flying home tomorrow morning.  We are staying at the Miami Airport Marriott tonite for a very early morning flight.
While walking over to the bar at the Courtyard (so weird that everything at the Marriott is closed but the restaurant and bar at the adjacent Courtyard are open !) we happened upon a “registration” table for Royal Caribbean. Being the naturally curious (not to mention, nosy) person that I am, I stopped and chatted with the guy manning the table.  He said that he was registering new staff that were signing on with NAV.  He said they are just part of rotating maintenance crew and said he has no insight regarding cruise re-start, but it was still exciting to learn that new staff is allowed to come in and most notably, they are flying in.  I tried not to stare at the paperwork but I could see that the list of names looked to be fairly lengthy.  Can’t say that there is any smoking gun or intel that provides any real information but at least I did find out that they were headed to NAV.

On the way back, the table was unmanned so I snapped a quick pic of the table and sign.
    Maybe ?  Maybe ?

I think most folks agree with you. The cruise ship industry is doing an amazing job of developing operational protocols to make sailing as safe as possible for both employees and passengers. I'm definitely in the camp of "Let each one of us make our own informed decisions whether to sail or not sail" and allow all of us to get on with living our lives.

I think this is put out because they are going to lift the no sail order and are trying to warn people not to go.. I will not be one of those people.. LETS CRUISE!!

    1.  Do NOT log into your account.
    2.  Go to royalcaribbean.com
    3.  Go all the way to the bottom of the page to "Cruise With Confidence".  Click

    4.  Go down and click on the box that says "Cancel Your Cruise".  I realize that this is NOT intuitive.  Most people would not click on a "cancel" link unless they intended to cancel !

    5.  Go down to the box that says "Lift & Shift" and select that option

    6.  Fill in the appropriate information for your cruise and click "begin request"

    7.  The details of your cruise will be displayed on the left side of the screen.  On the right side of the screen is where you will put the information for the "shift to" options.  Put in the name of a ship and it will show you what dates are eligible.  You can make up to 3 selection options but you don't have to do but 1.  Then just submit the request.
    Good luck !

To follow up to this, Explorer did not get her recent renovation, as Matt said. However, I sailed on her February 2020 (barely before COVID), and LOVED the panoramic ocean view staterooms. These are at the front on deck 12 and were added in 2016, so they still feel much newer than the rest of the ship (light wood vs dark wood, etc.) We also enjoyed the hot tub in the gym, which was to be removed during the renovation. Even without the waterslides and new (planned) additions, Explorer is a great ship!

You will get assigned a cabin in your same category or higher- if you have a preference on Explorer you can let your travel agent know or call in directly after you're officially moved. It will likely take a couple of days to get you moved, they have a lot to move!

Actually, making final payment on or before the payment deadline is the ONLY way to get your money back as a cash refund.  If you cancel before final payment or before the cruise line officially cancels the cruise, you will only be eligible for a Future Cruise Credit.

Have to agree with @twangster I COMPLETELY understand the dangers of COVID 19, but also understand that it is not as deadly as they first thought it was.  I also know that cruising can resume with certain things in place where it will be safer than going to the local Walmart.  I know that they will clean the surfaces far more than grocery stores do.  I know that they will also be more inclined to enforce social distancing as well.  I have no worries that they can and will do the right thing for their customers, there are too many cameras and people that are  going to be pointing the finger.  The cruise industry as a whole has way too much to loose!

I initially though so too, but the Cruise Compass is folded and collated. That's a little more elaborate. It's just something to ponder instead of asking "Is my November cruise going to sail?".

I'm guessing it's stuffed into a compressed space since it's not something that most cruisers would be interested in.  I'll try to remember to inquire if I ever get back on board a ship any time soon.

That is so awesome! The print shops I usually work with have digital offset presses that take up an entire ROOM in their warehouse, I would love to see RC's, probably pretty innovative.

You may be interested to know that not a single employee of Walt Disney World has become infected since they reopened and that, to my knowledge, not a single case of C-19 has been tracked and traced to that venue. That's not saying someone didn't get it there but news like that hasn't made it the media who would jump on it if was true.
How do I know this? The NYT published what amounts to a mea-culpa for writing a piece shortly after the decision to re-open the parks in Orlando deriding it and claiming it would turn into a terrible hot-spot of C-109 spread. Well, not surprisingly, that didn't happen and,  credit where credit is due, the NYT apologized for spreading fear.
You can count on the same sort of thing happening if cruising restarts. The media will probably warn us of catastrophe and dire consequences but will more than likely end up with egg n their faces.
