Wow. That's horrible. I've been on carnival, DCL, and RC and experience great service with all of them.

Like I said, I personally don't believe the people I'm interacting with on that ship daily see any of that money whatsoever. They're usually paid way below minimum wage and spend months and months away from home. They least I can do is give them a few extra bucks for their service.
    That's just my philosophy though.

I do not know personally... I believe only Quantum class plus Harmony & Symphony offer the use of the WOW bands.
Hopefully someone with more recent knowledge can chime in... not that it would impact my decision of which ship to sail, but it would be nice to know the complete list as of now...

Hello all, My name is Alex(25) from Terre Haute, Indiana. My wife, Jaimee(25) and I are going on our first Royal Caribbean cruise in August on Mariner. This is her first time cruising. I have cruised before but only on Carnival, I won't get into details but I wasn't exactly impressed. I've really heard nothing but good things about RCCL and we are excited for our trip.

It is offered at FLL, Port Everglades mentioned above is the name of the cruise port. The only catch is that there are specific time frames involved.

Completely cruise dependent. I was on Oasis in November and they didn’t have them available, a few sailings later they did. Many people have reported good luck calling and being able to purchase a drink package for just one person in the room.

This strikes me as the type of question where they will have to officially say no if asked in advance by phone, forum, or email so people don't find a way to abuse the system.  However, if asked on the ship during the cruise, they may bend the rules and let you do it.

    Hello All,
I started listening to the podcast this week so decided to jump on over here.  I have cruised twice, but was hooked by the end of the 2nd night.  My wife has taken a RC cruise once before, I will get the opportunity Dec 2020 On the Oasis of the Seas. My wife, daughter, mother-in-law, and myself will be on the cruise.  I have sailed on Disney and NCL.  I wasn't impressed by what was available on Disney, but I really enjoyed the Escape with NCL.  The only drawback was a few service issues where the staff were less than pleasant.  But, that wouldn't ruin a vacation for me.  I am super excited to take this trip even thought we have over 640 days left.  I have been researching everything I can about the ship and tips from the pros.  I really hope to take a cruise every couple of years.  I want to see more of this world and I am finding cruising is a great way to do it.  Yes I might only get 1 day in a port, but there are plenty of options to choose from.  I have heard nothing but good stuff about the community here and I look forward to being a part of ti.

Having more options is always a good thing.  I am hoping to have a drink in every bar/pub available.  Then decide where my watering hole is going to be for the last couple days on board ?

It never hurts to look.  I understand how making time for both family vacations and cruising can be challenging unless you can get them to go on a cruise with you.  ?
I have the advantage of living in central Florida and having multiple cruise ports within a short drive and don't have the added expense of flying or needing the extra day for travel.  So, short cruises are another option for some of us.

In the ships where they've added Playmakers (Mariner/Navigator) they have not removed the Pub.

If you read @twangster's latest live blog on the AMPED Navigator, he did observe that when Playmakers is open, the Schooner bar is much less crowded unless the live musician is there and performing. So having both on the same ship does seem to have had a bit of a "dampening" effect on the Schooner Bar's appeal.
Might just be because Playmakers is the new shiny, and over time the two will get more of an even balance as people try it out and decide the "old" pub is more their style. Will have to wait and see.

Case of the Oasis class I don't think Playmakers will have a huge impact to the Pub. They are in two completely different locations. Over Thanksgiving I saw Playmakers shutting down well before the Pub. Once or twice I wanted to do a snack run 30 mins before they closed per the Compass only to find it already closed. TVs outside were on but the bar had been already shutdown and locked up.
Now during game time they did some smart things by having those rolling cooler carts setup outside.
Now with the Voyage class setup with two bars setup right across from each other. I'm sure that impact is huge.

@Jedi Jason I would prefer to cruise every year, but I also vacation to Ireland often to visit family so I think splitting time between the two is what is most likely going to happen.  However, I have been using the current available sailings to gauge what might be available for us in 2021 and 2022.  I know changes are made on routes, especially with the next Oasis ships coming out, but I figure it doesn't hurt to look.
