I guess it depends on where, when, ship, etc. But, my wife and I are really partial to balcony rooms. We tried to book an inside room and changed it a few months later. So I think we would end up with the 1 balcony cruise.

Has anyone on here had the Taste of Royal lunch? On our sailing it started around $60 (I think, maybe a little less). i noticed it dropped to $34 so I purchased it. I am excited to try out the different offerings and wanted to get other opinions on it.

yeah sure, but I would be a lot more willing to pay the $99 charge. $179 is not going to fly for me. Also, since its just a luxury to add the UDP its going to be up to the individual and what they want to spend their money on.

Id like to visit NO and sail from there too. I am not sure Id like Majesty though. We have sailed and are sailing on the lager ships. However, the lower price for sailing on her is tempting.

I just booked with Air2Sea last night and the price was cheaper that what i was finding through other sites. Also, they allowed me to book it and pay later. Is that usual? Pricing stays the same, it just needs to be paid by the cruise final payment date. I called and asked what was going on since I was confirmed on the flights, but I did not enter any payment information.

Wow! I booked it at $79/pp. I just looked it seems the price is staying at $79 too.

I personally take reviews and comments less and less serious the more I read them. The power of the keyboard tends to allow for some "extra" in the stories that are posted. I also believe that, as others have stated, any cruise line would be all over it to make sure other guests did not experience the same issue. If there was photo evidence to back up the claim, that might be different.

How far in advance was the Northstar available for making reservations? I remember reading that show reservations start opening up around 90 days before sailing on Oasis and Quantum class ships. Does the Northstar follow that formula?

@Mikeb1892 I agree with this. I already booked it for our Anthem sailing in April 2021. $79/pp. I wanted to get it before the price goes up. Hoping the price goes down a bit. Either way I still think this is a great option for just the two of you.

@Jolly Ogre Great question, looking forward to the answers. I did not think to look around for some local booze to bring home. I have been more worried about local booze to drink while I am there!

Hopefully a solution is found soon and this situation can be over sooner than later.

I am personally hoping to experience Sabor when we sail on the Harmony GC. The margarita options sound amazing. And the food too i guess hahaha ?

@JLMoran is the Izumi on anthem just sushi or does it have the hibachi option too?

Agree, its going to come down to personal choice and preference. Just adding another option to the refreshment package idea you mentioned.

@Mikeb1892 About the deluxe drink package the other adult being required to get it; not 100% true. I called Royal directly to explain that my wife does not drink all that much. Glass of wine with dinner, the odd cocktail here and there. We were able to downgrade her to the refreshment package while I kept the deluxe package. The phone rep was more than happy to accommodate us. I am not sure if this was explained in the other responses. Thought I would share our experience. Edit: I agree with @KristiZtoo. Buy and forget it. No counting drinks or $$ while on vacation.
