I thought I read there was a 10min interval between drinks that was supposed to be "enforced".

I personally take reviews and comments less and less serious the more I read them. The power of the keyboard tends to allow for some "extra" in the stories that are posted. I also believe that, as others have stated, any cruise line would be all over it to make sure other guests did not experience the same issue. If there was photo evidence to back up the claim, that might be different.

How far in advance was the Northstar available for making reservations? I remember reading that show reservations start opening up around 90 days before sailing on Oasis and Quantum class ships. Does the Northstar follow that formula?

@Mikeb1892 I agree with this. I already booked it for our Anthem sailing in April 2021. $79/pp. I wanted to get it before the price goes up. Hoping the price goes down a bit. Either way I still think this is a great option for just the two of you.

@Jolly Ogre Great question, looking forward to the answers. I did not think to look around for some local booze to bring home. I have been more worried about local booze to drink while I am there!

Hopefully a solution is found soon and this situation can be over sooner than later.

I am personally hoping to experience Sabor when we sail on the Harmony GC. The margarita options sound amazing. And the food too i guess hahaha ?

@JLMoran is the Izumi on anthem just sushi or does it have the hibachi option too?

Agree, its going to come down to personal choice and preference. Just adding another option to the refreshment package idea you mentioned.

@Mikeb1892 About the deluxe drink package the other adult being required to get it; not 100% true. I called Royal directly to explain that my wife does not drink all that much. Glass of wine with dinner, the odd cocktail here and there. We were able to downgrade her to the refreshment package while I kept the deluxe package. The phone rep was more than happy to accommodate us. I am not sure if this was explained in the other responses. Thought I would share our experience. Edit: I agree with @KristiZtoo. Buy and forget it. No counting drinks or $$ while on vacation.

I think multiple appetizers sounds like a good deal to me. I think it would be great to try a few entrees, like a sampler platter. There are so many things I would like to try, but I dont think I could eat them all in one sitting without making myself miserable. Full size of each entree would be too much. I would like to try the Duck Duo and Lamb Wellington at 150 Central Park in one sitting. There are several others to list but I am not going to, we get the point. All i can think to do is ask when we order, the worst they are going to do is tell me no and I will have to settle for 1 dish and not two.

That sounds like a good event to go to, something different that I am not sure we would go to with all the activities we usually have going when we are home. School, work, practices, etc. I am going to have to investigate this a little more. Thanks for the info.

Anyone go to this on the Oasis of the Seas? Sounds like it could be a good time. Are era appropriate outfits required? Im sure they make it more entertaining, but I dont want to pack any extra and that would fall into the extra category for me. I guess while I am at it, what about the other themed parties? Any insight on those too?

I hope the drinks are better. I like wings just as the next person, but I dont see the point of having them for a fee when there is so much food included during the stay on the island.

Not a wine fan. Had a few that were alright. My wife likes a few wines that our friend have introduced. We want to go to a wine tasting, but never seem to find time to fit it in our schedules. So, we are making sure we go while on the our cruise. Nowhere to be for 7 days I think we can find the time to go!

On our NCL Escape sailing the my time dining seemed to take a long time. Now I do not remember the seating situation, but we were not sat near empty tables. The food came out when it did. I just figured it was normal and they were letting us enjoy our drinks with our appetizers. The one glaring issue that I had was on our last night and the dessert, vanilla ice cream sandwich cookie thing, that was melted into a puddle of vanilla. it was sat down in front of me and I was told to "enjoy". I looked back dumbfounded. How was that actually served?? Anyway i asked for it to be taken away and just went to the self serve station in the Garden Cafe. The overall dinner was not ruined for me. The food was amazing all week. But, I just couldn't/can't believe the server tried to leave that mess for me to eat.

valid point. I am not going to waste my time with Cats on our sailing. What is on Symphony? I forget Edit: Never mind if I actually READ @AshleyDillo's post then I would have known it was Hairspray lol

I will be interested on what others have to say on this. We sail Oasis later this year, but Symphony sounds like an amazing ship as well.

My wife and I are considering a central park balcony to help reduce cost for a NYE sailing in the next couple of years. We want to have the fresh air coming in, but we can bring ourselves to pay for the ocean view prices. I will say that we did not look right when the sailings were released. I am hoping to find a better price when they first open up and can allow myself to book the ocean view balcony. We both do not want to have a room on the boardwalk as we feel it would be nosier. The chance to see the aqua show is a great bonus to those who do book the boardwalk rooms.
