NO...NO...NO....JS is not the gateway to being a suite snob. It has to be the higher class suites that leads one to being a suite snob for if it is not then I am in trouble. I hate it when the mouse gets possessed and just starts clicking on things. I'll really be in trouble if the wife turns into a suite snob for that means less man toys for me through out the year.☹️

@WAAAYTOOOthey are right. We accidentally booked a JS and now the online booking system goes straight to Royal Suite Class. The mouse is possessed 

I sailed on Symphony in Oct out of Miami and took full advantage of the Suite embarkation line. Check in was scheduled for 1pm. Arrived at 12:30 and was on board in the promenade by 12:50. It was glorious! 😂 

Maybe not a suite related comment…but regarding boarding issues…..
There are always things that can delay boarding which may cause a back-up at the terminal.
In October, I was on a back to back on the Oasis where we had to stand in a line in the customs/luggage hall for over an hour because US Public Health did a surprise inspection. They want the ship empty of passengers when they inspect. That caused a backlog in the terminal.  
Pre-pandemic, we’ve had boardings delayed because of surprise Coast Guard inspections. We watched as all the crew, wearing life jackets, had to man their evacuation stations. That took a few hours.
I’ve also experienced a delayed boarding because a couple partied too hardy on the last night and wouldn’t wake up to answer their phone or their door. Eventually security had to go in and wake them…and then wait while they packed…before they could get a zero count. Thanks a lot. 
And of course there are the usual late arrival issues when the ship is delayed due to weather, current or emergency situations. 
Bottom line…I always pack a hefty dose of patience for boarding day. 

Using the suite line is one of the few suite perks you get with a JS

I just sailed in a JS on Explorer.  We used the suite line.  Pardon the pun, but it was very sweet!

IT is from my understanding that the JS will not ruin a person like the higher up suites do. At least this is what I am hoping for..lol

In the past, JS DID qualify for suite expedited boarding and I am assuming it is still the same.

During a Christmas cruise my wife and I bought the photo of us in front of the ship's Christmas tree on formal night. Beyond that one single picture we always determined that the photo packages were to expensive. As mentioned already you have to seek out the picture takers to have your picture made.

My wife and I are also on this sailing with you. As PPPJJ mentioned we are also looking forward to this sailing since we have been land locked since December 2019. Be sure to check out the roll call for this sailing for the messages are becoming more active the closer we get to the sail date.
I have no idea how to help you with your genie for we have never had a Star experience but I know that several other folks on here will chime in with help. One thing that I have read over and over again was to be very specific in your wants and needs with your genie. Try to not leave anything open for interpretation otherwise you may not get what you want.

I’m sorry you have to cruise with such restrictive personal needs that require you to take verbal action whenever you see a masking violation coming your way. Must be immensely uncomfortable keeping your head on a swivel so that you can identify and react to an approaching threat. After all, it’s your health on the line, and that can be significantly affected by a wayward breath from a passing infectee not wearing a mask or not wearing it perfectly. I mean, what are the odds, right? It’s a shame that your vacation/s have become so burdensome that you might feel constantly under threat for your life. 
Maybe cruising during this time of unknowns and change may not be the perfect time. After all, it should be a risk vs reward balance, should it not?
Also, by interacting with these masking violators and the resulting arguments that ensue…such as you laughing and them screaming…doesn’t that cause you to have more close contact with them. Isn’t that dangerous on your part? Maybe best to just avoid any close contact by retreating. Maybe your ‘I don’t play’ attitude is dangerous to your health. 
I don’t mean to accuse anyone of being confrontational…I know what it’s like because I sometimes get accused of being sarcastic. Like now.😉

Day 5 St Thomas.
We arrived around 7 to the Island, not that we planned to be up so early but still. After breakfast on the balcony (from day 4 they started to enter and prepare the table by themselves) we went to walk around the ship (always enjoyable during port day) we did not had any special plans so we just went down to the port. There we met with the king of the pier , he was walking around dominating the area , taking photos with everyone that wanted . I thought he will ask soon for a tip

Later we just jumped on one of the taxi to downtown which cost 4 dollars per person per each way. We strolled around main street until we decided to head back to the ship. Near the port I spotted a supermarket and a pharmacy so we decided to split and I went to buy some razors and some of the counter medicine I needed. The pharmacy and the supermarket are around 5 to 10 minutes walking from the port. Coming back to the ship I got a  message from my spouse if I can go and grab some drinks for her. Coming back to the cabin I saw that 

Although a week or so delay but it was nice surprise. Sunil came to hang some decorations and did a good job , he also brought a cake. 

 

And no , it's jus a coincidence we are not copying from our upper deck neighbors 🙂 . 
Late lunch was in WJ which was good. Post lunch I had to work again but we still had time to rest and enjoy the rain and the cake. We had some more visitors that wanted to check our balcony.

We had dinner plans at  wonderland , it's our fourth time in wonderland (if you counting the one in Spectrum which was totally different) so no surprises but it still fun and the drinks are very good.

The second cake was waiting for me back at the cabin , but with  only one plate , how can I share it like that ?

Which we also saw in wonderland , I think Sunil is making his schedule easier by need to be in only one place at a time. We had plans to go to check out red the experience but at the end we both were too tired and called it for the day.

You aren't alone.  I deleted all of mine as well.  Too much of a time-waster.  I only miss the private cruise groups.  lol
I even considered re-joining for cruise groups only, no friends.  I figure they would think I was a troll (no friends) and not allow me to join.  ?
To the OP, I really hope this just works magically for you the next time you try.  That sucks.
