  1. Which ends up being cheaper at todays fuel prices
  2. I don't think the double points promotion was on anymore in January. I'm pretty sure you had to be booked by the end of September 2021 to qualify for double points. I'm pretty sure the sales rep at next cruise was incorrect which wouldn't be a shocker.
  3. Yeah the prices have gone crazy. The dates we are looking at for January 2023 are more than double of what we normally pay. I could go on 2 more cruises for the price of round trip airfare
  4. You will be fine with a 11:45 flight. Just take your own luggage off to remove one more potential problem. I'm looking at flights from Miami in January and the difference between leaving befor 8:30AM or after 12pm is $500 plus per person We will probably spend the night in Miami and fly out early the following morning to save a pile of money. I really envy folks who live within driving distance of ports.
  5. It could be possible depending on where you are cruising from. Cruises in North America no longer have seperate areas. From my understanding cruises in Asia are very restricted still. I'm not sure but I imagine Austrailia and New Zealand still have some strict protocols as cruising has only recently restarted there. Not sure about Europe @ElmoHongZitowhat ship are you seeing this on?
  6. Are you kidding me? The larger field? The larger ball? The waggle? The Rouge? Besides if it wasn't for the CFL where would all those Big 10 players not good enough for the NFL end up?
  7. Check out Viator.com. Excursions are generally cheaper and much less crowded.
  8. ‘Cold’ is a relative term. I live in Vancouver Canada. I would not describe the Bahamas as ‘cold’ at any point in the year
  9. I've never heard the promenade described as 'dark'. The promenade on Oasis class is much larger than on Odyssey and are actually the only class to have natural light on the promenade. I don't think you could go wrong with any of those 3 ships but personally would go with an Oasis class. I think you might be surprised that there aren't that many lines after Day 1 as people are generally dispersed well
  10. I will definately be looking at options out of Galveston as there are now daily direct flights between Vancouver and Houston (4.5 hours) for less than half the cost of indirect flights to Miami (11+ hours travel time). If my Oasis cruise in January wasn't already paid in full I would be looking to switch to Allure.
  11. Anyone know if you buy on board, do they still make both people in the stateroom buy one or can you get it individually if purchased on board?
  12. I have sailed on her twice. Absolutely loved the first time, not so much the second time. In fairness the second time was her first sailing back post shut down. If you like to relax she is a good ship. If you like things to do I wouldn't recomend it.
  13. Itinerary at booking had stops in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas; St. John, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Basseterre, St Kitts; and Philipsburg St. Maarten Current itinerary has stops in Labadde, Haiti; Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas; Philipsburg St. Maarten; Basseterre, St Kitts: San Juan Puerto Rico; and Perfect day at Coco Cay.
  14. The itinerary for this cruise has changed drastically since I booked it. Still excited for it though as a 10 night on an Oasis class is highly unusal.
  15. My wife and I had the same discussion last week on Navigator. It was our first cruise back at full capacity. While we enjoyed the uncrowded ships it was also really nice being back on a ship that had some 'life'. I was a little worried about crowds but was quickly reminded how cruise ships have a way of dispersing crowds. Other than pool decks on sea days we never felt 'crowded', lines were non existant after day 1 and we had a fantastic cruise. I'll take the 'old' experience than the half full ship with masks and testing requirements anyday.
  16. Well I guess we know where @WAAAYTOOOwill be cruising next
  17. It appeared to be optional on Navigator last week. Lots of crew with no mask on, plenty of others wearing chin masks. Although all MDR staff were wearing masks.
  18. So as of today there are less restrictions to get into Canada than into the US. Who would have thought……
  19. I just got off Navigator yesterday. I was so pumped to finally sail navigator and try out the blaster but ended up underwhelmed. While the concept seemed crazy the actual product was kind of meh. I much preferred the rip tide slide.
  20. No, it is restricted to that cruise.
  21. Utopia of the seas here saying "please don't.........forget about me"
  22. Unfortunately Canada still requires cruise ship passengers to provide a negative test to operate cruise ships from Canada even if its not required to enter the country. Double standard for the cruise industry. It was the same way in the US for a long a time. The cruise season in Canada has less than a month left and hopefully next season all the silly rules will be gone.
  23. When you fill out the app, it is linked to your passport. This is why it you are not asked for it.
