We booked flights to Europe through Air2Sea a week or so ago. The Air2Sea agent couldn't pick seats nor could we pick them directly on the airline websites. We paid for the flights and were immediately able to pick our seats through the websites. Paying immediately wasn't ideal for us, but we wanted to be able to choose our seats for the flights since they are long ones. We were assured that the flights we paid for are refundable. The airlines are TAP Air Portugal and Lufthansa, so they may have different regulations than US ones.

We’re happy. The 2025 Southern Caribbean itinerary we wanted to change to showed up.

I'd like to say I feel it in my bones that tomorrow is the day.....but I was soooo certain that when I looked early this morning, I was going to see the new schedules.

On our first cruise ever, we bought Royal Caribbean travel mugs onboard to carry our coffees around with us. Much better than a paper cup.

I had to get up at 1230 this morning for work. I had to check before I left the house.

Our travel agent has done so many things for us and we are are very grateful for her. Some of the things that come to mind are the times she has spent helping us change cruises, answering questions, changing existing cabins, adding people…the list goes on and on.

We took a cab. I can’t remember exactly what we paid, but I do know my cfo was pleased with the cost.

Somehow our youngest is 22. I’m not sure how that could have happened since I’m pretty sure wife and I aren’t yet 30. And how is it possible we’re booking grandchildren under the ksf promotion???

My wife uses the same combo and doesn’t see it either. Ww haven’t been able to find a way to fix it. I know this doesn’t help your situation, but you’re not alone.

Thankfully we’ve built time into our travel itinerary, although we’d hate to lose a day’s worth of being a tourist in Ravenna by being stuck in an airport.

The connection time makes us a bit nervous too. Whoever emailed me back when I asked said 55 minutes is their minimum between flights. I guess we’ll see.

@FionaMG Great info, thank you!! We have a short connection time (1 hour 10 minutes), and while it concerns us, we are ready to go for it We are booked through TAP Air all the way to Venice. I contacted them yesterday about the short connection time and was told we’ll be fine. In addition, we used Air2Sea, so we’ll have their help if anything goes wrong. We are leaving four days before the ship sails, so we have time to deal with any delays. Lastly, we picked upgraded seats as close to the front of the plane as we could (just short of first class) so we can deplane relatively quickly. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge.

We’ve received this on the last couple cruises we put Royal Up bids in. It’s a change from the unsuccessful bids just showing canceled or expired. Based on what I’ve read here as well as personal experience, I believe it’s just Royal hedging their bets (in the off chance they can make a few more bucks) rather than any real possibility of an upgrade. In other, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Yes, there are instances where people have been upgraded when they bosrd, but I believe those instances are very rare compared to the amount of people who aren’t upgraded.

We can’t wait for them to come out for actual bookings. We have to move a cruise from March ‘24 to Mar/Apr ‘25. We’d like to move it to that Adventure one.

Other than when I was in the military, I’ve never flown internationally. On our trip to Italy in October 2023, we have a layover in Lisbon, Portugal. From there we fly to Venice. Will we go through immigration in both Lisbon and Venice? I’m trying to plan what time train to take from from Venice to Ravenna and have no idea of what to expect when we arrive in Venice. Thanks.

When it works for me, it's awesome. My last name has an apostrophe. It's on my passport and Precheck info, but so far, any airline I've flown on doesn't recognize it. Sometimes Precheck shows up for me, other times it doesn't.

Our lives would be boring without change. We are now flying into Venice instead of Bologna. Air2Sea had cheaper round trip tickets than our one way from Rome to Boston would have been. Our 60k AA miles were refunded so we'll use them for something else. We booked a transfer from pier at Civitavecchia to the Rome airport (FCO) through Royal for $72 pp. Kind of pricey, but we need to fly back to the States on the day we disembark. We are still spending three nights in Ravenna pre-cruise. For those who find this looking for info on getting from Venice to Ravenna, our current plan is to take a taxi from the airport to Venezia Mestre Station then take the train to Ravenna.

My wife and I are early risers, so on sea days we get coffee and hang out in the Solarium. Once the Windjammer opens up, we go one at a time and get a plate, with the other of us staying at our seats. We do the same for lunch. We spend most of the day at the same chairs, and one of us is always there.

I researched Bologna to Ravenna in depth for our October 2023 cruise.....although that just changed last night and we are now flying into Venice....so my research starts over. Anyway... To get from Bologna Airport to Bologna Central Train Station, there is a monorail at the airport that goes directly there. It's around 7 minutes from the airport to the train station, then approximately an hour on the train to Ravenna.
