  1. Hey all! My husband and I will be leaving on a cruise tomorrow out of Tampa, and this is the first time we’ll be dealing with time differences while in port. We’ll be in Cozumel, Roatan, Belize, and Costa Maya, and, from what I’ve seen, both Belize and Roatan are an hour behind Tampa. If I have my phone toggled on to switch time zones automatically, is that a good idea? Or should I bring a watch to keep on ship time? Also, if I set an alarm on my phone for 7am, does that mean it would be 6 port time? Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!
  2. I should also add, if booking an excursion directly with RC is the way to go, what are some that you all have done that you would recommend?
  3. Hey everyone! My husband I will be on the Enchantment of the Seas next month, making stops in Belize, Roatan and 2 in Mexico. I have learned recently that our ship will be tendering in Roatan and Belize (which we’ve never experienced before), so I had some questions about booking excursions in those ports/tendering. It’s my understanding that guests who booked excursions directly through RC get priority when getting off the ship: with that being said, would it be advisable to book with RC in those 2 ports so we get off the ship at a reasonable time/not be late? I generally like to book excursions with third party/private companies at each port, but I’d be afraid of getting off the ship too late. Any info/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Hey guys! My cruise is taking off this weekend, and I’m a little confused about what to do with our luggage when we arrive at the port. I would like to keep all of our luggage with us/not check any of our bags: for those of you who have done this, what were the pros and cons? My husband and I selected the 1-1:30 timeframe, and I read that staterooms are ready for guests around 2pm, so I was hoping that we could take all of our luggage on and not have to wait for our room very long. Thank you!
  5. Thanks, everyone! You all helped alleviate my concerns a ton!
  6. Hey there! My husband and I will be on our first cruise in a couple weeks to the Bahamas. I have been using a travel agent, who picked our room, and I just looked up where our room is and it is directly across from an elevator. Our agent never discussed this with me, so I’m not really in love with the idea/am afraid it will be too noisy. For those of you who have stayed in a room across from the elevator, what were your experiences? How was the noise level?
  7. Hello! My husband and I are going to be taking our first cruise next month to the Bahamas. I planned some earlier excursions at two of the ports we will be visiting, and they both start at 9am. My concern is: will that allow us enough time to eat breakfast, get off the ship, then find our excursion group? Or I didn’t know if it would be more time efficient to get something quick for breakfast, do the excursion, then go back to boat for a bigger lunch. Thanks!
