  1. The thesis of this thread, base on the video above, a procedure for the cruise industry to quickly test cruisers, similar to what Emirates apparently are doing. My comment is directed at the method of testing...that is not a conspiracy. I prefer not give blood to an unknown/unnamed entity, contracted by cruise line, with no discernable verification how my personal DNA is being properly disposed of, with insurance it's not being recorded in a database. I have no desire of having my blood taken from anyone outside of my personal doctor...and even then, I dislike the idea of it being in an established database. That video appear to simulate the ease & convenience, without concern I would have; when there are just as quick & less evasive measures that can be performed, on the spot, like swabbing, that efficiently being performed currently. It was not conspiratorial statement, just an expressed concern...and certain not political. I think the way one read & process what they read, in their own way, take things or read things, in a way they feel; and, not necessarily, the way that person address it. In this case, you may not be cognizant of it...how you perceive my opinion. No harm done...
  2. Do anyone think there's a chance Royal may delay the release of GotS, to use her for a period of time, in helping the company recoup some lost revenue because of the virus; or, just let her go her merry way?
  3. Before amplification, Trellis Bar after twilight...After amplification, Playmakers...I love to shoot pool(billiards).
  4. LoL...once again, word predict on my phone. Should have quoted Jim Carey, "all-righty than" Will fix my friend.
  5. "If" the CDC makes the call next week, why would it be to soon? I pretty confident they won't make a rush to judgement call. The call wouldn't be much different if they made the call an additional 60days after the 100days. It still has to meet & achieve some criteria for a call to be made. I understand we look at the media drilling in our minds, how dire the situation is currently; so, on a individual level, many project some amount of time out. However, I'm suggesting, technically, if the matrix deem conclusive, they could call it well before July 24th. That's what the stipulation for...and yes, it work both ways, and can be extended. I'm simply pointing out, the "which ever come first". Neither one of those stipulation possibly may not happen...then you will see another modification as the CDC, has stated. As far as we know...thing can get better by Memorial Day.
  6. Yeah...use the crisis to build a genetic database, through your blood...all-righty than. ?
  7. Gotta give it to Royal...they just keep chugging along, as if things are business as usual. ?
  8. I think some are missing the part that says, "which ever come first". Probably why Royal, as of yet, may not be moving as fast as Carnival; because, "which ever come first", technically could be tomorrow, next week, next month, in 6 weeks, etc.

  10. I don't know if Royal will grant such a thing...they promptly issued my wife & I, the full allotted of points for a shorten cruise. I think if they do reward points, to those booked on a self-suspended cruise, that was paid in full, it obviously would be in good faith; because, those points would have been awarded, to those cruisers, who book those dates out of good faith & loyalty to the cruise line. This such a unique situation, they may recognize a one-time need to give back, at a time of huge inconvenience & uncertainty.
  11. Let's deviate, even for a moment, from the shut down of the cruise industry & talk of corona. What would you like to see, in the design of the Icon of the Seas or anything that has to do with ship, ports of call, itineraries, number of days, or anything else one can think of.
  12. Look, there is always an exception to the rule...obviously, you & some people you know are...most people, whose immune system never had to activate and release enzymes to fight the virus will get sick, when injected with a strain their body never encountered before. There are some the virus remain either dormant or they have had that strain before, as reason why most don't get sick after getting a flu shot. The flu effect people very differently...some feel like they're on their last leg, others as if its just a minor sniffle that they don't even recognize as the flu , and some variation in between....that's is a known fact. So just because you didn't get sick after receiving a flu shot, does not mean other won't either...that a misnomer in itself. A percentage of people get sick...and they get sick because their body never had that strain before....that's the point of getting a shot in the 1st place...to build immunity against that particular strain.
  13. There has never been a vaccine for any virus in coronavirus family...just treatments & a shot of the previous year strain...which gonna make you sick for a few days, like flu shots normally do. The vaccine cure thing is a gross misnomer, imo. Also they say it will take a year to make, because by next year, you will be getting injected with this year strain.
  14. It's pretty clear to me...the order on March 14, 2020(the date of publication) is subject to modification & additional stipulated conditions, as set forth in this Order. The Order "shall continue" in operation..... The March 14 Order is being renewed "to" not "from" the Operations Order, signed by the CDC Director. Lawyer speak, I know; but, that's how they writes things. To, From, Shall...key words; but, the bottomline for me: I'm just waiting for stipulation1. On April 9, 2020, CDC renewed the No Sail Order and Other Measures Related to Operations Order signed by the CDC Director on March 14, 2020—subject to the modifications and additional stipulated conditions as set forth in this Order. This Order shall continue in operation until the earliest of (1) the expiration of the Secretary of Health and Human Services’ declaration that COVID-19 constitutes a public health emergency; (2) the CDC Director rescinds or modifies the order based on specific public health or other considerations; or (3) 100 days from the date of publication in the Federal Register.
  15. I agree, I have mixed feeling as well. My wife & I rather enjoyed sitting outside, out back, on Anthem; however, those moment we chose to sit inside, it was fairly difficult(primary late mornings & peak lunch hour)to find a table inside. BTW....Playmakers is located in the Sea Plex & yes, they do have Laser Tag there as well. Also...there is a way to structurally have the water slide barely straddle both the sides of the ship and in front of the Sea Plex, for a Big U around the ship, using water jets similar to the Blaster on Navigator, beginning near the Sky Pad & ending just behind the Rock Wall on the other side. Just one slide however, unless they build a tight spiral behind FlowRider, with a slight overhang over the back.
  16. There was already a low demand/high surplus of oil before Covid19 & the Arab/Russian fight. Crude Oil has been hovering around $64 a barrel & Brent Oil about $71 for a long time now, before this mess. The Saudis need oil near $90-100 a barrel to make money. Being in the $30 a barrel is devastating for oil & refineries.
  17. I agree...is it not protocol for the ship to inform the port authority of any ill passengers, regardless of the nature of the illness(be it Noroviru, common cold, flu etc)...how could they not know; and yet approve the disembarkment of passengers...otherwise, the port authority would have turn the ship around, correct?
  18. No corporation should get a bailout, that's tax payers money...that's not capitalism/free market. Especially, corporation that does not pay taxes, into the system, that they want access to. Get a loan, like a few have been forced to do...try being slightly more conservative in investment methods, build expendable capital(savings), don't become so leveraged up, and pay as much on principle loans as possible. However, we have not been in a capitalist/free market economy, in a long while; so, I guess what I'm saying is really a mute point.
  19. I have to say...that nearly sound like a familiar commercial. 1st thing that came to mind was saving 15% by switching to Geico. LoL
  20. It's April 1st...glad somebody still got a sense of humor. I guess the Carnival thing is a hoax too?
