My first cruise was a 3 day Bahamas cruise in September 1998 on the brand new and largest cruise ship at the time,  the Disney Magic. I remember it just towering over the other ships in Nassau. Funny how it looks so tiny compared to today’s modern cruise ships. My sister and brother in law got engaged on the top deck late at night in Nassau. My friend and I followed them as they walked around the deck so that we could capture it all on video. They are currently on a Mediterranean cruise celebrating their 20th anniversary.

Interesting read and I will look over it more later but I was shocked that Disney cruises showed as Best Affordable Cruise.  Nothing about Disney is affordable.

We have been to St. Maarten twice in the past year and went out with https://coconut-reef.com/ both times and had a blast. Our full day tour in December included a stop at Pinel Island which my husband and I both agreed was our favorite stop. It was absolutely beautiful and we cannot wait to return in the future. I highly recommend a day out on the water with these guys. The pick up/drop off is a short 15 minute walk from port and they get you back with plenty of time to walk back to the ship before all aboard time. Lunch is included in the full day tour and was delicious. We actually ate on the boat while anchored a short “walk” from the beach at Pinel.

Matt is going to put in a vote for a lava flow with Kraken rum floater on top.  
I usually drink a martini or mojito, and before bed enjoy a toasted almond. My husband likes the Godfather, or just straight whiskey.  

Even some creepy guy up against the glass watching.

The word right now is that the Aqua theatre will not be ready for guests in Europe.
Extensive damage to the theatre as you can see.  And that's just the ground level damage.

Fortunately Wonder Woman was in the neighborhood and flipped it back upright.

Knowing there were workers in the cofferdams concerns me.  Did the dry dock pop like a ballon or slowly begin to settle lower in the water so they had time to evacuate in a somewhat orderly manner?
I sure hope everyone is truly okay.

Yep, going to be some cancelled cruises.  
I saw an account of 8 injuries but all non-life threatening.  Hoping that count holds true.  
My transatlantic in three weeks isn't looking so good right now.  

Those cofferdams made for azipod maintenance are filled with water. I have idea how to change a bearing of azipod and at what stage of work they were in, but there might be some flooding of sea water inside azipods and aft of the ship. Thats going to take a while to repair.

So sad to see Oasis like this. I certainly hope all the people working on her are accounted for. After watching the video Van Fleet posted on Twitter this morning I sure hope there weren’t a bunch of people working in those cofferdams when it all happened. 

Going to be a lot of damage topside as well.  The Aqua theatre will be out of commission for some time.
