  1. Huh, I wonder how many different sample menus they're using on the surveys. Mine was basically the traditional MDR menu, no theme whatsoever
  2. Not that I've found. And I believe Royal Gifts are only for gifts being delivered onboard, they can't be shipped to a residence.
  3. @michaelp1446did we get different sample menus? On the menu I was shown both starters and desserts had more classics than non-classic options. Entrees were evenly split.
  4. Also let the waiter know that there's a show you would like to make, and they can try to speed up service.
  5. 2:30 should be fine. Most operators will schedule their excursions based on docking times since a lot of their customers will be coming from them. If the ship is late docking generally they'll try to delay the excursion leaving, but not always. Also, when booking 3rd party, we always look for companies that offer a full refund if the ship has to skip the port for some reason.
  6. This stuff is the best. I got a free can at an event and should I need to buy water at the store, this is what I'll be getting.
  7. RC does have beach wheelchairs that can maneuver the sand much better. Not sure how to go about requesting one though, also don't believe they're motorized.
  8. MTD reservations can start as early as 6:30pm, but those spots go quickly in the Cruise Planner. Walk-up (no reservations) MTD starts earlier.
  9. DBP now covers drinks up to $14, the website verbiage is outdated. You will only be charged the difference for drinks over $14.
  10. Yes - the no-show's package would be refunded if purchased pre-cruise. If you know for sure that the 2nd passenger isn't going, you could call RC to get the DBP for Passenger 1 and the Refreshment package for the no-show. (Significantly) less money tied up that way.
  11. Any onboard purchases (drink package, excursions, wifi) for her will get refunded
  12. The Drink(s) of Day on my Sept Radiance sailing definitely weren't $8. I want to say around $11 or so.
  13. I would keep checking to see if people cancel the backup excursion, or check once onboard at the shore excursion desk.
  14. This post should answer your questions, and any others!
  15. No, you do not need to check the no-show in online. You will let them know about the no-show once you are at the port and checking in with the port agent inside the terminal (the person verifying all your documents).
  16. This! I'm about 90% sure that any stamps in a passport that are not official government stamps can invalidate the passport.
  17. It's super easy to get extra keys at Guest Services. The other benefit of leaving names on the rooms as they are, is that if only one of you wants the DBP, you aren't obligated to buy it for the other adult.
  18. Or it's too early and they haven't contracted with the local vendors yet
  19. I believe they'll swipe your card after each drink, which will include the auto 18%. If you want to tip extra, you can do that at that time or at the end.
  20. I don't think Rhapsody has a stand-alone Starbucks (someone correct me if I'm wrong!) so all coffee beverages should be included in the DBP.
  21. Yes, when sitting and facing the engine, you'll want to be on the left side. Much better views going up the mountain this way. Would also recommend sitting in the last passenger car.
  22. It should be very easy to reschedule on board. You can do this while making the reservations for the other 2 nights.
  23. It sounds like they booked the cruise past final payment, therefore had to pay in full. At that point, the 48hr best price policy is no longer applicable to that booking.
  24. I believe the Pan American port is for cruises that start/end in San Juan, and the Old Town port is for ships docking for just the day.
  25. We used Alaska Shore Excursions for Icy Strait Point and had no issues - they have Juneau excursions as well. However, they aren't the company that actually does the tours - they sub it out to one of the local tour companies. Had we known we would have just booked directly with the local one! I imagine Shore Excursions Group does something similar.
