  1. In the app, scroll down past the desserts to see the kid's menu. My 10 year old ordered off both menus.
  2. I'm surprised it wasn't a requirement before if the guests are in areas where actual food prep is taking place. Health codes can vary depending on location, but most require employees' body hair be covered - specifically mentioning hair and beard nets and a more generic line about clothing that covers body hair. I cringe every time I see Mario Batali in his shorts and clogs on tv. Not that he's cooking with his legs, but it grosses me out. Long pants would also help prevent a burn or cut if something is spilled on or dropped around a guest. Health codes don't usually mention guests in the kitchen, but if it were my line they were coming down, I would want the same precautions taken to ensure food quality and passenger safety.
  3. Price checking my drink package this morning, and I hovered over the Onboard Activities where I saw something new. Well new to me, as I don't check this section very often. Sorry if this is old news. The Bottomless Galley Brunch tour has changed its name to Sip. Tour. Brunch. I was all excited to read up on a new activity, but it looks the same as the old version to me. The pricing is the same as in the screen shot for Enchantment in Feb. and Liberty in Nov., but to be honest, I am not sure how this compares to the tour under the old marketing name. I got enough galley time in culinary school, so it never interested me enough to pay attention.
  4. Hmmm...guess that opens up an overnight in Nassau or Coco Cay?
  5. One can hope. There are a handful of 7 days on Enchantment from Galveston that are Key West, CoCo Cay, Nassau itineraries. Maybe a test? I'm sure with an O class it would do even better.
  6. Proximity wise, what else is there? Replace Belize and/or GC with Progresso?
  7. I would imagine they will stick with the Cozumel, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica stops on the other itinerary since they've been doing it for 10+ years on the different ships out of Galveston.
  8. I know everyone says to avoid connecting rooms if you can, but that's all we have ever sailed in. We've never had any noise issues - maybe we just got lucky and had great neighbors on all of our sailings, but it isn't a factor for us.
  9. How does this work if the cruise is a casino comp? Based on what price since they fluctuate - I assume they just look at their historical archive to see what the price would have been on the day you claimed the comp/booked? I'm not at that level in the casino yet, but now you have me wanting to learn UTH so I'm curious.
  10. Here's a rendering of the proposed terminal. https://www.galvnews.com/image_75739f59-b24e-5ae2-9afc-f7785b1cf71b.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=user-share
  11. Lava flow or a Grapefruit Habanero Daiquiri in the Schooner Bar. ?
  12. Trying to do it all. I'm all for seeing and experiencing everything, but DH wants a laid back relaxing vacation...big fights may have broken out on our second cruise. I'm much more "go with the flow" now.
  13. A lot of hotels on the island require a two night stay especially if it is a holiday weekend or if there is something like a festival going on that week. Harbor House is just east of the cruise terminals (Carnival is between the hotel and Royal's terminal) - not that you would want to walk a 1/2 mile with your luggage, but here's a map. Surely they have a shuttle. I think it would be nice to wake up literally next to the ships, but we haven't stayed on the island yet. We stay between Houston and Galveston in Clear Lake which is where Johnson Space Center is located. The Kemah boardwalk is not far from there either, so we have a variety of things to entertain us pre-cruise. It's about a 40 minute drive to the terminal the morning of the cruise. We drive down from Dallas though, so you'll be looking at Uber or some other transportation twice if you go that route.
  14. I can't help with the app. Our luggage tag name was blank in September on Liberty. I'm sure it's easier for RC to keep on file and attach a single set of pdf blank tags for a specific room that gets used for every sailing as opposed to a dynamic file that has to be updated every time. It seems simple for them to add the name, but I have visions of luggage tags having the wrong name, creating confusion for the guests.
  15. On mobile, the link takes me to a screen that says both "Included" at the top, and "Fee applies" within the description. Looks like Royal IT is challenged with proofreading too. ?
  16. Enjoy your trips everyone - I can't wait to read all the live, or not so live, blogs!
  17. I haven't seen any candid / photo-journalistic type photos. Mostly it posing for photos in front of a background, but there is usually a roaming photographer in the dinning room at dinner and at sail away on the upper decks. One of the best photos of our family on our last cruise was at sail away on the top deck.
  18. @Jack_Lime here is the one I put together for our cruise this past September. Don't forget to stop your mail, turn off the coffee pot, and take out the trash before you go. ? Have a great time! Master Packing List.xlsx
  19. We can't wait to see just how much bigger in 2022!
  20. Thanks! No, we'll be on Enchantment in Feb. We're taking my MIL on her first cruise and it embarks on her birthday. We're going back on Liberty in November, 2020.
  21. If the sailing you are on when you book your NextCruise was with a travel agent, it will automatically go to that travel agent. If you want to change, let the NextCruise agent know. If you do not have a travel agent when you book with the NextCruise office, you can call the travel agent you want to use once off the ship. They will take it from there.
