  1. We had the same experience with Princess. We love Royal!
  2. Congrats on your upcoming cruise - and welcome to the boards!! There are no shows that need to be (or even offer) pre-booking on Navigator - they will not be in your cruise planner, just show up. Dress code for the MDR is really quite variable, you will see people dressing up (smart casual), even formal (for Dress Your Best night) , and even shorts and t-shirts. Don't stress about it - the short 3 and 4-night cruises are a bit more casual and nobody really gets freaked about clothing. I can't comment on trainers (no idea what they are). DON'T PANIC!! You're going to have a FABULOUS time - don't overthink it - you're in good hands here!
  3. There's a huge thread on the topic here: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/boards/index.php?/topic/13919-freedom-of-the-seas-fatality/ IMO, the answer is "no".
  4. Lobster night was the 2nd Formal Night on Ovation in Alaska.
  5. Mariner had a late-night snack time when I was on it last February.
  6. This is the same cup we had on Ovation, which worked in the Freestyle machines.
  7. I have the other version of PCE (Post-Cruise Ennui).
  8. Go to the top, right-hand corner of the page, click on your name/image and go to "Account Settings" - then at the left-hand side of the page click on "Signature".
  9. *whew* finally getting a chance to catch up on blogs! Have a fabulous time, and Happy Anniversary! We'll be on Symphony in February (lowly balcony room though!)
  10. I won't use any other kind if I'm going to be in the water. Even if it isn't "required" that doesn't mean that it's still not a good idea. I found some at Costco.
  11. We found them to be really useful on Ovation - we never had an issue using them or unlocking our door - I don't always have pockets in which to store a sea pass card, and I hate lanyards (especially on vacation, since I have to wear one at work). I'm a fan.
  12. My Oricsson backpack - when not in use it's very compact and packs easily away, but is big enough for a port day pack. https://www.amazon.com/ORICSSON-Lightweight-Foldable-Backpack-Waterproof/dp/B07C1D8WLR
  13. Freedom Class are still the type you open with your card. Only a few ships on Royal are equipped with use with the WOW bands (Anthem, Ovation, Spectrum, Quantum, Harmony and Symphony).
  14. I'm also a purple freak. There's a store in Seattle near Pike Place market called The Purple Store. Mr. SpeedNoodles might not ought to have brought me in there. He almost couldn't drag me out.
  15. They were religious and political, and I just don't know if that would have worked, lol.
  16. I was at Coco Cay early last Feb - the air temps were in the low 70s, and the water (esp the shallow water at South Beach) was extremely comfortable (and I'm a wuss with cold water). I thought it was an ideal day. I wilt above 80 degrees.
  17. Both of us found the WOW bands to be perfectly comfortable and convenient when we were on Ovation last month. Unless I have a shirt with a collar (which I hate wearing) so that the lanyard doesn't sit directly on my neck, I might as well be wearing a sloth around my neck as much as a lanyard. I hate when they hang around my neck directly (don't get me wrong - LOVE sloths, don't wanna wear one 14 hours a day. Seriously, 30 minutes TOPS on the sloth scarf).
  18. My IPad took a nosedive and Apple gave me a new one, so I had to reinstall everything. Maybe that's why. That's one hell of a bonus if that's what happened!
  19. Just what you want to sit near at dinner - someone wearing the same clothes they wore at Zumba. I'm sorry, but I don't even want to sit in Windjammer with sweaty, post-Zumba chick. This is basically someone who is just giving the middle finger to every single fellow passenger.
  20. I'm really looking forward to this blog. This is one ship we are really wishing to get on - I may have to do some fast talking to work my way onto this one between the ones we already have booked! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
  21. ^^ This ^^ Plus I think I'd just be upsetting my dogs with all the screaming that I'd be doing at the TV the whole time.
  22. I had a break in play for a couple of months. Right before I stopped, I only had about 10,000 points. When I logged back in, I had 460,000 points. Not. A. Clue.
