  1. I have never seen it on any Royal ship yet. I believe that stuff has to stay refrigerated, but since she's allowed to bring up to 12 bottles/cans of non-alcoholic beverages on board she could pick some up to bring with her. Remember that the fridges in the rooms aren't the coldest and they're also pretty small. If it's a 7-day cruise maybe she can get by with 4 bottles and drink half each day..then they might all fit in the tiny fridge/cooler in the room.
  2. That's what I would do...whichever single day you purchased the waterpark for or the cabana..make that the focus of that day..you know you will have the other day to explore all the free stuff!
  3. The ports definitely don't have the WOW factor of Alaska. But they are VERY easy ports to self-navigate and make plans for. The cruise ship was just a convenient way to travel between those ports.
  4. The one with did with Royal wasn't too bad, but it was a combo motorcoach/train tour..but most of it was done on the double-decker dome train. But for it being our first time it really helped because we didn't have to worry about all the logistics of where we were staying each night. Each stop had excursions we could do just like on the cruise. Now that I've done it once I know exactly what I would pinpoint again to do on my own if I ever get a chance to go back.
  5. Yup..Oasis Lagoon is the huge pool with the swim up bar and the walking bridge that goes over the water. There's also a Splashaway Bay and Captain Jill's Galleon (pirate ship) on CocoCay there which are free to everyone. There really is a ton to do without having waterpark access.
  6. Don't forget that the water park has the wave pool and the adventure pool as well. I think the kids will really enjoy those as well! You may not be able to get them to leave to go to the big Oasis Lagoon pool!
  7. Alaska Alaska Alaska all the way. Don't get me wrong..I really enjoyed my Canada/New England sailing as well but it definitely does NOT have the WOW factor of Alaska. I would highly recommend trying to integrate the land tour with your next Alaska sailing. I know it's a big time/$$ commitment but the land tour and the interior part of Alaska was just as amazing as the cruise, but also a completely different experience.
  8. @CGTLH has cruised a lot over Halloween. I think he even LIVE blogged one on here. Maybe he can give some insight.
  9. You can actually go to any of the specialty restaurants, but there should be a kiosk set up on the Promenade. Look for guys with the laptops. On Harmony they were right by the outside seating by Sorrentos. Then across the Promenade was another similar kiosk.
  10. Did you already choose your flights? I think you take your flight confirmation number directly to the airline to get your flight. I've never used Air2Sea, so I'm not 100% on that. Don't forget that ChoiceAir (Air2Sea) has a price guarantee..I should definitely try to take them up on that if you find a better deal on flights than what they booked you.
  11. It will be in the same place where you checked in online in your Cruise Planner. View boarding pass/Edit check-in should change to eDocs. The luggage tags will be part of that document which includes your cruise ticket terms and conditions (legalese blah, blah, blah) and at the very end are the tags.
  12. You can change reservations around all you want once you get onboard based on availability. If you miss your reservation you should be able to just show up as standby..or if you show up earlier just go to the reservations desk and see if they can seat you earlier. They do try to seat you with the same wait staff and in the same general area of the dining room if at all possible, so they will plan with what you give them. It's pretty much the same as a restaurant that takes reservations on land.
  13. Strange. My category was on my invoice. I did use MEI as my travel agent, so maybe it's just their invoices that show it.
  14. These will be part of your eDocs. Luggage tags won't show up until 40-45 days out I believe.
  15. I thought mine had showed Inside above my #GTY. I got my assignment way before expected, so I can't confirm anymore.
  16. Through the Cruise Planner. You just schedule your time by adding it to your cart. You won't be charged anything.
  17. Right now go and look up flights about a month out, two months out, three months out and six months out to get an idea of what pricing it. Google Flights is actually a pretty good tool for this because you can use their price graph feature to slide the dates along and visually see where prices might dip. That can give you an idea of how far out the cheapest prices area and you can see the trends for prices spiking for holidays. It also gives you an idea of what prices CAN be so you can keep an eye on them.
  18. Bookmark Royal's Going, Going, Gone page..they sometimes have great deals: http://www.creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Multi_Dest/Special_Offers/rci_sales_event.pdf
  19. If you don't want to have a set dining time, then you should try to get switched to My Time Dining. That's the main difference between the two -- late dining is going to be an inflexible 8:00pm-8:30pm (depending on the ship/sailing) whereas My Time Dining will allow you to make reservations anytime during the restaurant's open dining hours or you can just walk up when you are ready to eat and be seated (or wait if it's busy).
  20. I want to say that it is around 15.99 for the onboard price -- definitely cheaper to purchase in advance.
  21. Wonderland has been included with any dining package that I've seen. It's usually the Izumi hibachi that isn't included; and definitely not Chef's Table.
  22. Hooray for beer!! https://tenemu.com/news/funky-buddha-royal-caribbean-collaborate-on-chilla-thrilla/09/2019
  23. Don't expect the main dining menus to be accurate, though..especially for our Thanksgiving sailing.
  24. Haha it looks like it..everytime they have two cruise ships on their schedule one is "Docked" and one is "Anchor".
  25. St. John's has three cruise ship berths. It's pretty large in comparison to Sydney from what I can tell from both cruise ports' websites.
