  1. If you are willing to split up your party for the ride over, then taking 2 Uber/Lyft vehicles might be a better option for transportation. Then you can do KSC on your own. Base admission is $57 for adults and $47 for children with some discounts for senior and military if those apply. The one benefit of going with Royal is that it includes the transportation and you will avoid the lines to get your tickets and also the line up for the bus tour portion. Doing it yourself you are responsible for your own time but you also get to make your own agenda and get to do what you want to do and not have to follow the group's schedule.
  2. Every charter is different. I've been on a full music charter and it was basically like being at a music festival but on a cruise ship. They had some of the typical cruise ship experiences (belly flop contest for example) but gave them a bit of a twist as they had celebrity judges. It's a great way to cruise with a bunch of like-minded folks. For the music cruises they usually cover up one of the pools for a stage, so that was really one of the big differences from a normal cruise. The focus for the cruise was on the live performances and it was only a 4-night cruise so my experience may differ from others.
  3. We were by ourselves, but when we were going out to the Natural Pool area where you have to have a 4x4 vehicle there were a lot of vehicles on that road so we really had no choice other than to be behind someone. On the normal roads it wasn't too bad. We had bandanas but didn't use them really at all. The 4x4 trails in the national park are a lot of fun and if you are adventurous definitely check them out. Some folks got to them and were heistant because they are really rough even in the off road vehicles! And if you go out to the caves make sure you have your phone at least to use for a flashlight! We didn't even make it to the north side of the island since we were having so much fun on the offroading trails.
  4. Probably a bit far out to be looking..I am noticing that the sweet spot for booking airfare has been getting closer and closer to the fly date for routes I have been monitoring.
  5. I did this in Aruba in a 2-seater. No helmets required. It can get dirty and dusty when you go off-roading and even when driving out to the beaches since Aruba is a desert! It is noisy and very windy but was totally worth it!
  6. This is the direct company we ended up with: http://www.arubaatv.com/. They said to call them directly next time to book for cheaper. But I found it through Viatour: https://www.viator.com/tours/Aruba/2-SEATER-UTV/d28-109524P2 They have tons of other options too.
  7. Just for ease you may want to print the passes until you get to the room where you will have your SeaPass cards waiting. But yes you can buy the WOW bands when you board. Everyone should also be able to log into the app and get their own SetSail passes if needed.
  8. Super easy if you are comfortable with taking the trains. Google Maps can be helpful with pointing you in the right direction if you aren't familiar with the different lines and stops.
  9. I was on the Freedom NYE sailing I nabbed it for $49 which was the lowest that I saw. It was also BOGO50 when boarding at $70 for the first person and $35 for the second making it $105 for two or $52.50/person.
  10. 2 tolls and they will both take the EZ-Pass. The green part after where the EZ-Pass ends (purple ends and green begins) doesn't have a toll. If you have a pass you don't have to exit the highway to pay; if you need to pay with cash you have to get onto the service road.
  11. I would suggest the Cocoa Commons Publix. Probably the most easily accessible on/off from 528 for the entire route and no additional tolls to hop off and on. The address is: Publix Super Market at Cocoa Commons, 2301 FL-524 #150, Cocoa, FL 32926.
  12. Never fear..folks do complain about Grease's "mature" themes as well!
  13. The price may be a bit higher on those cruises that haven't opened for the package yet. I have a June 2020 cruise that I haven't seen go higher than $59 to date (currently $48 again with this "sale"). My October 2020 cruise stays in the mid-$50s range. But I also have a November 2020 cruise that's kicking around the $62-$65 price point. I've lucked out with my last 7-day cruises bottoming out at $48-49 at the lowest...and that November cruise is a 4-nighter inaugural cruise so there are plenty of factors that come into play with the pricing. Again, the rule of thumb is that if you are ok with the price you see then jump on it and reprice if it goes lower because you will miss out if it goes higher and never bottoms out again. You can also cancel once you get on the ship if the package price is lower than online (very rarely does this happen). You will get it refunded as OBC and then you can buy the package onboard.
  14. The general consensus is that Freedom should come back from her AMPlification with the app, so you may be in luck! We missed it a lot on the NYE Freedom cruise.
  15. Exactly. You won't get the messages until you are connected back to the internet again. Cruise ships existed before people had cell phones! Just plan particular meeting times and places and congregate then. It is possible..may not be as convenient, but it can be done!
  16. Only two ships currently have the chat available through the app and Vision is definitely not one of them. And the four device plan just means that four devices can be logged in at the same time on one user account. You create your user login and password and can give it out to whomever you like. When four devices are logged in the 5th device that tries will get a notice that they're about to knock off one of the devices if they choose to continue to log in. You can effectively have 100 different devices able to use the same account, just not more than four of them simultaneously.
  17. It's an app similar to Google maps called maps.me Super easy to use once you figure it out. The guy that we picked up the ATV from taught us how. I liked it so much I used it in Bonaire the next day when we rented a golf cart to explore the island.
  18. The villa suite on Symphony and Harmony are really going to be the only ones that fit the bill. They are 4-bedroom Star Class suites and have the private hot tub. The other suites with the hot tubs won't have the 2 bedrooms. Diapered kids are a no-no in the public pools but there is a baby splash area that allow swim diapers.
  19. I know of some adults only cruises that are charters..but they're probably not exactly what you are looking for ??
  20. Just means that the room can hold 5 people or more, but 5 aren't required to book it. No worries there. You can't even book more than 4 in a room without calling in anyways.
  21. My Uber from the airport to our hotel in Old San Juan was $16.10 on December 28..so I would say they're giving the taxis quite a run for their money.
  22. The rooms referenced are ocean view rooms, not balconies. So in this case it's the helipad that obstructs being able to look out the window straight down to the ocean ?
