  1. The wording used to say BOGO and is a one-time use, but worded this way makes it seem like it's a multiple use coupon. The one I have from Allure doesn't have the throughout your cruise wording.
  2. Depends on why they are no-shows. Port fees and taxes will always get refunded. If they tested positive for COVID within 14 days of sailing they can get a refund. As stated you can cancel up to 48 hours prior for an FCC. I'm sure with the timeliness of processing cancellations that we see across the board, some of those cancellations still make it on the passenger manifest.
  3. They are still having hundreds of no-shows day of sailings, so reduced capacity it pretty much handling itself right now. In fact I think the cruiselines would happily take more passengers. Folks are canceling for the protocols, testing requirements, mask requirements, etc. Royal's letting people get refunds when the protocols are released so people are taking advantage of that if they aren't comfortable with sailing.
  4. Yaaaaay! I have been enjoying following along with all the blogs since I departed Allure last Sunday. You guys are going to have a blast! This helps with the post-cruise depression and the agonizing wait until the next one.
  5. The CVS in my area don't open up the rapid appointments far in advance, only a few days. My plan is always schedule PCR far in advance and then grab the rapid appointments when they open up closer to the testing date. I am also going to order the at-home tests as another contingency plan. We are fortunate to have a community testing site around the corner so I have a lot of options for close-in rapid appointments but I still have to sweat it out until I can land the appointment and then hope it's not canceled on me..then the wait for results too!
  6. You can get an Uber and Lyft in the port. Be prepared if taking one TO the port to show your ID. They do check everyone coming in and they let the drivers through solo for pick-ups but also make passengers show ID when they are with them.
  7. The issue when using FCCs is sometimes it gets applied where the FCC makes it look like your cruise fare was reduced. So if your FCC was 1000 for a 5000 cruise, they see your cruise fare as 4000. If you are pricing that cruise now as 4700, it looks as though you already had the lower price because of the FCC. I would think resolutions will get you straight.
  8. Allure I believe is going from Port Everglades for @josepena12, so realistically a sailing from Port Everglades or Miami is ideal. They are only about 45 minutes apart. You can grab an Uber or Lyft or cab to take you. The only issue may be the gap between debarkation and check-in for the 2nd cruise. I would say if you don't shift the entire B2B to something else entirely, adding Freedom out of Miami is entirely doable.
  9. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/are-there-any-experiences-that-are-closed I found it at this link so you can keep checking back there. This is what pulled up when I clicked on the Adventure sailing from Galveston option, in which obviously they didn't bother to update the graphic.
  10. I know this says Nassau, but they haven't released any updated one for when it comes back to the US so can only go by what they currently have posted. The adults can enter the vaccinated only venues but the children will not be allowed. The vaccinated get a wristband and only those with a wristband are allowed in the vaccinated only areas. Yes, the kids are the only ones not allowed. Just traveling with kids doesn't mean the adults are treated as unvaccinated.
  11. Maybe something to do with the final payment dates being moved to 30 days they're shortening the check-in window to closer in? 9/21 would be about 45 days out for a 11/5 sailing
  12. The porters won't care what your check-in time is. They will take your luggage whenever you show up. I'm not sure exactly how early, but I'd imagine the few that are working debarkation take a little break and then hang around to assist with the new embarkation so there could be some porters available before the port even formally opens for check-in.
  13. So basically in the US it will become the Pinnacle Club/Jazz on 4 like the other Oasis ships?
  14. We had someone in our Roll Call group from my last cruise get denied at the port because she had been part of the CDC trial vaccinations and they didn't accept the CDC card she had. She even had a contact from Royal Caribbean that she had spoken to who stated she was fine since the CDC considered her fully vaccinated but they denied her boarding. It was a mess getting her luggage back and she had already paid for port parking and they wouldn't refund her. Her saga ended and when she finally was able to talk to Royal HQ, they ended up telling her they were in the wrong and she will be getting a full refund.
  15. I haven't personally seen it, but I've heard from some that sometimes they end up opening the slot 30 minutes before whatever the earliest available was. Maybe it has something to do with the trends they are seeing for turning things around at the port or they feel they're going to need longer to get everyone boarded, who knows. Unfortunately Port Everglades doesn't have something like Grills close enough to walk to and kill time. There's no easy way there to ditch your luggage early and go chill somewhere else until your boarding time.
  16. They sometimes hold other events in the bars such as trivia or karaoke in which families may want to participate.
  17. Our NextCruise rep from last week kept goading us about needing to do Wonder and we said it would never happen because we weren't traveling to China. She told us, "You never knowwwwww!" Our Genie also told us about the lifting of the B2B restrictions for the kids and I didn't want to believe that as a rumor either. I always try to consider the source, but I guess hearing it directly from a crew member is a better source than someone who says, "I heard from a crew member that..." on an internet messageboard.
  18. Only on Oasis and Quantum class ships as they are the only ships that give the free internet for Grand Suites and above. If you can't cancel it yourself in the Cruise Planner because of a last minute RoyalUp you can ask the Concierge onboard to make sure it is handled for you and it will be a refundable OBC.
  19. It can be used for lunch and dinner anytime the restaurants are open and as long as there is space for you. As for breakfast, the only non complimentary breakfast I have seen is there is a new additional charge section on the Johnny Rockets menu for breakfast. I don't know if that would be covered with the dining package or not if you ordered those new breakfast food items. (Milkshakes are not covered under the dining plan, but they are under the drink package). However, Johnny Rockets on the Oasis class ships is open for breakfast for everyone and it is complimentary, other than those couple of upcharge items.
  20. In Ft. Lauderdale the airport and port are practically neighbors, so if you stay anywhere by the airport or 17th street it's super cheap to get to/from the port/airport.
  21. As stated, check-in on the app and skip to the select an arrival time part and lock that in. You can go back and add everything later. Also do not be alarmed if you go in when your check-in opens and there's only one 3pm slot available. That seems to be the default option that they open up at the scheduled check-in date but they go back in later and open up earlier times. You can keep checking for an earlier time and grab one when you see it.
  22. Definitely look into Miami flights. It's a 30-45 minute drive between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale so just factor in an Uber/Lyft ride between the two and see if you end up cheaper overall. Still spend the night in Ft. Lauderdale as it tends to be cheaper than Miami with respect to airports. You also have to consider that your sail date lines up with Spring Break in Florida (early March timeframe down here) so the $$ season starts earlier.
  23. Next to El Loco Fresh, I would imagine it's a going to have a specialty margarita menu.
  24. Well let me know! We have lots of space and probably the best price you'll ever find to do a Star Class solo . You just have to deal with my family.
