I would recommend a cab. In Falmouth once you get outside the port gate it is a road out to the town. All around you is just dug up dirt and empty earth. Not to mention it really is a little far to walk out the main road. There were also some gates so you couldn't cut across some areas.

The other option is to get "shots" the night before and take to your room and order tomato juice the next morning and make your own. Or spend the few bucks and have it delivered with room service.

Did you book direct with Royal or did you use a TA? Hubby and I get rooms that allow 4 for just the two of us all the time. Hubby even has a room booked in April that sleeps 4 but he is going solo. If booked with Royal directly I would call them again and talk to someone else. If booked with a TA I would question what they told you and how they booked you.

It would be heavy to carry on but wine is in glass bottles so I cannot understand why they wouldn't let you. Miami has been the only port we had issues where they were very strict about the limit of 12. When going out of a port we can drive to we have been able to take bottles of our local iced tea with us exceeding the size they state.

We text using Voom onboard all the time and never get charged. You are sending the text over Wifi just like Wifi calling. My daughter who uses an iPhone is the only one who has issues with doing it.

Yes they do sell walk on rides unless it is completely booked but usually they can take walk on. The price will be slightly higher than the cruise planner though.

8 to 10, there were several vans going there so it was good we said sloths first so we got there and started before others.

If you know what time you want to eat each evening make your MTD reservations in the cruise planner and include the other cabin. You can vary what time you eat each night. We never got assigned a room for the MTD. When we got there either for reservation or walk up they chose the dining room right then that had room for our party.

A porter when getting off is worth every penny. Right through security and on our way with a smile.

I used to be too cheap to send anything to the laundry but now I stuff that bag as full as I can and send it off. I usually wash out swimsuits and maybe panties in the sink but that is it. I love that ziplock idea for washing these. Unless we are doing b2b or a hotel stay after the cruise we don't even send the bag out. We don't go on condo vacations because I don't want to do all the work myself and don't find them much cheaper than cruises or all-inclusive vacations. Vacation to me means no laundry, no dishes and no cooking.

We were supposed to do the dockyard fort last visit but my youngest has some emotional/mental health special needs and it didn't work out. I'm going to make two list 1. w/kids 2. w/o kids and work from all your great suggestions.

When you make the reservation tell them you want to hold the sloths and want that to be a priority and they will. We skipped the beach portion and our driver did a little extended version of the island tour that they include after the sloth park. I got a couple of things from local vendors while waiting for our guide to take us to the sloth park but other than that we were not impressed with the shopping at the port. We did get to go to the chocolate factory as part of the island portion. Now it isn't a huge place but has good chocolate and a decent free tour.

Kennedy Space Center, we got a sale through RC and it was cheaper than an Uber for 5 people and the tickets.

Also, check with your carrier and see what countries are included in your plan and what the cost is to use it per day internationally. For example our specific Verizon plan is free in Mexico, Canada and the Bahamas. Other places it is only $10 a day. We usually go back onto regular phone in port. On the ship we all have Voom so we put in airplane mode and use RC wifi for text and calling. For some reason my daughter who has an iPhone cannot text using the ship's wifi.

Thanks JohnK6404 I think we are going to be there about 6 days this year and not sure how to fill those days without breaking the bank. I think St. George one day as a couple. Daughters and I walked around Hamilton before the zoo in October but I think hubby and I would enjoy it.

You need the original and I will share two pieces of advice that you didn't ask for. Either before you go or when you return order a copy of everyone's birth certificate from the state they were born in. We have an extra one for each of us in case something happens so we aren't scrambling at the last minute. Second item is once you have that second "official" birth certificate for the kids go ahead and get their passports. The way things are going it is best to have them for flying and any other type of travel. I know it is an expense but it really isn't that much per year and then you can we ready to travel at the last minute should the mood strike you.
