Hopefully official ship announcement will come when they reveal the rest of the Caribbean itineraries
-
I would point out that in announcing the short Caribbean intineraries that Enchantment of the Seas will be going to Key West and the Bahamas for 4 different dates in 2020 from Galveston. So you never know. Maybe they can add some Eastern Caribbean.
-
I never get anything either

https://twitter.com/cruiseindustry/status/1070029489088868352?s=21 New Galveston terminal coming. Looks like an Oasis class ship will be announced for Galveston soon. And for those that doubted the Houston area could support an Oasis class ship, read where it says ships are operating at 110 percent capacity and maybe two more cruise terminals possibly coming

My guess is that you will probably have to leave her behind for shore excursions but you could take turns and still make it a great trip. I don’t know how many family members are going but the sea days and nights where everyone is together should be a great vacation. And yes some people will miss some excursions but you can still find a way to make it a good trip even if not every thing is ideal

I got an email today for my Liberty of the Seas sailing on Jan 13, 2019. But when ever I try to click the button to take me to the website it doesnt work

I wouldn’t be surprised if it is powder. Most of the time I’ll bet most restaurants use powder as well. Unless you are eating at a fine dining type restaurant. i would expect that for a cruise line like Royal, Carnival, or Norwegian, I would get powder coffee unless a pay extra for gourmet coffee. If I was sailing Crystal, Regent, or Silversea, or similar, then I would expect upscale coffee from freshly grounded beans. Also keep in mind that instant coffee has a lower environmental impact. I do not dispute it doesn’t taste as good, but by no means do I find it terrible. Just my opinion obviously.

Unfortunately yes. The computer cafes aren’t used very much anymore. They were big before everyone had WiFi devices.

The website was probably very overloaded earlier today. I had trouble getting in as well. It was better in the afternoon. Just keep trying.

Black Friday Sales - offered worldwide?
Oliver replied to Vanessa77's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Most countries have Black Friday sales now even if Thanksgiving is not celebrated. Black Friday is definitely a thing in Canada, the UK, and Mexico. And I think it’s a think in China, and Singapore. And of course you mentioned Australia. Not sure about other countries in Europe. I would imagine that Royal Caribbean and other cruise lines will have deals in your country. Of course I can’t promise anything, but I would definitely check this Friday and the weekend. Welcome to the boards and I hope you love your cruise. I sailed on Voyager of the Seas back in 2004 out of New Jersey. -
Fun: Trying to pick a cruise by midnight....

I would choose Celebrity Edge. Can’t wait to try it. -
Demographic of ships during off season?
Oliver replied to xps15z's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Well remember that March is Spring Break so there should be lots of kids. Most schools and universities will stagger out the times they are off so most of March should have kids on cruise ships. I would imagine the April and Spetember have much less but you should always find a few. -
There are apps like “WhatsApp” that I use to keep track of my son when we cruise. It works great. But I am not aware of any that work without internet

Predictions for Europe Deployment
Oliver replied to bigpete's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I have no predictions to make but I like your prediction about Oasis coming to Galveston. I really hope it happens. -
So you can enjoy something on us ?!?! WHAT?!?!?
Oliver replied to princevaliantus's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I’ve read that pilots always wonder why passengers freak out about turbulence. Apparently turbulence is a pain in the butt, but there has never once been an incidence where a plane has crashed due to turbulence. It has happened that people get hurt if they aren’t strapped in properly but nothing happens to the plane. Of course having said that, I have to admit I don’t like it at all and get nervous myself. It’s just physiological I guess -

Soon I guess we will expect refunds from the airlines for heavy turbulence -

I’m not a Carnival fan at all. I don’t sail them. But what else do you except them to do? You take a risk every time you board a ship. I’m sure it was scary and quite unpleasant but they don’t have to give anything. -
cuba increasing ships size capability?
Oliver replied to J_Keeble's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Ok. So I guess the longer is what is the problem getting into Cuba. Thanks -

Is the Vision class really that much bigger then the Sovereign class? Obviously the Radiance class is a whole other deal but I don’t understand the big difference between Sovereign and Vision. -
Leave it at home. No reason to take a chance.

Riverboat cruises .... any desire to do one?
Oliver replied to princevaliantus's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I would do one when I’m elderly. Not trying to offend any senior citizens on here. But I think they are mainly geared for a population that isn’t very active. As long as I’m able to be more active, ocean cruising is more my thing. But I’m interpreting your meaning when you say “riverboat” to be the paddle wheel boats that go on the Mississippi. If you mean river cruises in Europe, that a whole different deal. -
That depends on many factors like location, time of year, and availability. Yes there are times I haven’t been able to book something because the require a multi day stay. But I always check AirBnB and compare it to the going hotel rates. There are some great properties out there that can really save you some money. My sister is going to Israel in Jan for example, and hotels there are very expensive. She saved a lot of money via AirBnB.
