Vacation Crazy

I took two vintages off to get t-shirts and souvenirs. It's 4 ships in port: Allure, MSC Seaside, Carnival Spirit and Adventure. It was a flustercuck getting off and navigating through the port. So many people and no understanding that other people are also there. Nobody saying "excuse me" just bumping and pushing.
Also the prices are insane. T-shirts were $26, one pandora charm $109. A silver charm was $359!!!!!!! It took us an hour and we were hot and hungry so to WJ we went. I had bread and fruit in the Crown Lounge, so I got a salad. Nobody was here and we got a good table overlooking the Spirit where I can see this vintage couple dancing hard....I was dead at the sensual moves🥰😅😂🤣. As I type this, it's packed.

We were just at Maya Chan a few weeks ago.  They are at the pick up place 30 minutes after your ships scheduled arrival.  The van ride out was "extra bumpy" because it had just rained. I think the ride was about 30 minutes. 
We had an amazing day. The food, drinks and service were top notch. We heard a lot about the seaweed issue. We were pleasantly surprised with the water.  We spent a good portion of the day floating in the water(and I'm picking about water).  
They come around and ask what time you want to leave. We headed back to the ship at 2:00PM. Our all aboard time was 5:30.  Your early departure time will definitely shortened your day.  If you do decide to go, I'm sure you will have a great time!

One of our favorite things to do!  Sometimes hubby will come off with a "I can't un-see that!" or maybe even "I need new eyeballs!"  (Our youngest granddaughter coined the "new eyeballs" saying 🤣

This made me laugh.  We just got off Allure and this describes our FB page too.  I feel like I'm missing something with the duck craze?!

We didn't do any specialty dining on this sailing.  We had dinner every night in the main dining room. There are definitely hits and misses.   We are not huge foodies and very easy to please.  If someone else is cooking and cleaning I'm happy.  We don't set foot in Windjammer anymore. We go to the Solarium if we want a buffet.  We also enjoyed breakfast at Johnny Rockets.

Regarding whether or not a staff member actually keeps the cash tips or puts them into a combined fund...I have finally decided that it isn't my business and I don't really worry about it.  I leave the tip I'm going to leave and what happens to it after it leaves my hand is irrelevant to me.  Sure, I would rather have the person who provided me the service get the money, but the tip sharing policy is not something that I have any control over.  The only thing I can control is whether or not I leave a tip, so I do.
I follow this "rule" whether it's a bartender or a meal server.  I tip at every meal whether I eat at a specialty restaurant or the Windjammer.  99% of the time I leave my tip on the table and depart the pattern.  What happens to that money after I leave is, and will always remain, a mystery.  It's simply none of my business.

We are not fans of scheduling shuttles or transfers.   We have always had good luck using Uber or Lyft.  Check your cruise planner for Kennedy Space Center Tour with Airport Transfer.   That may be an option if you are looking for something to do after the cruise.  Good luck!

I just booked my return flight home for this cruise on Southwest.  I paid $119/ticket for a non-stop flight to Detroit.  I'm sure you are grateful you don't fly much anymore.  Airfare is all over the place.

Yeah that's a little steep. I decided to book two one-way flights one going to Orlando and one coming back for Orlando because it actually turned out to be cheaper. 
The first leg came out to $197 total for two tickets going from Reagan to Orlando.
Second leg looks like it'll probably be about $220 total, But I plan on paying for that leg on our next paycheck.
Plus by booking it as two separate one-way flights were able to break up the cost over a couple of paychecks rather than an all coming out in one lump.

I googled average temperatures by month for our port stops.  The average temp in St Maarteen is 83 degrees in January.  I think we are going to do a beach day in St Maarteen.  We plan on walking to the fort in Puerto Rico and hopefully we get a nice warm day in Cococay🤞.

FYI... If you fly Southwest they released their schedule for our cruise period today.  I got a non stop flight home(Detroit) for $119.  I was happy with that!
