  1. Also interesting that the child price is higher for the Spanish version than for the English, even without lunch. As for me - I would purchase the Spanish and plan to understand ~2/3 of the narration. And then I would watch more Univision to refresh my listening skills in hopes of getting it closer to 75%.
  2. Depends - do you touch the restroom door with any part of your body that MIGHT come in contact with your hands after washing but before you get to the buffet?
  3. That would not be considered chronic asthma. It is allergy-induced asthma. No issue. My asthma, however qualifies as chronic because I HAVE asthma all the time, regardless of the fact that it is well-controlled by my current medications and exercise. @SpeedNoodles is cleared to cruise, @HeWhoWaits may have to figure out how to minimize the chances of being "discovered."
  4. Well, we DO tease our northern neighbors a bit, but they deserve it. Eh?
  5. I am not aware of any law regarding the rapidity of issuing a refund. As for banks, once the refund is submitted to the bank by a company the bank has three (3) business days (from COB on the day of the refund) to make funds available if the amount is less than $1000*. The time is extended to seven (7) business days for larger amounts (meaning 9 calendar days because there is guaranteed to be a weekend in there). If a refund is issued after 5:00 p.m. local time for the financial institution, it is the beginning of the NEXT business day so there can be four to ten (4-10) full weekdays before the money must be available to you. *This was the amount that was in effect when my wife retired from banking. It may be higher now.
  6. We had two separate bookings on the same cruise that was cancelled. We executed the required request to cancel rather than take the FCC for both within a few minutes of each other. One (the one involving less $$$ that Royal has to return) was cancelled in the system and we have received the Cruise Planner cancellation email. The other (more $$$) booking still exists with no Cruise Planner cancellation email.
  7. Hear about it all the time on these boards. Have NEVER seen it.
  8. I'd accept Coco Cay and Labadee as stops if it meant multiple sea days onboard. Best option available since cruises without a foreign port aren't allowed.
  9. Posted by a former co-worker on a different platform: Perspective on the virus: 1. Half of us are going to come out of this quarantine as amazing cooks. The other half with a drinking problem 2. I used to spin that toilet paper like I was on Wheel of Fortune, now I turn it like I'm cracking a safe 3. I need to practise social distancing with the refrigerator 4. I still haven't decided where to go for Easter - the living room or the bedroom 5. Every few days, try your jeans on just to make sure they still fit. Pajamas will have you believe all is well in the kingdom. 6. I don't think anyone expected when we changed the clocks, we'd go from Standard Time to the Twilight Zone 7. This morning, I saw my neighour talking to her cat again. It was obvious she thought her cat understood her. When I got back into the house, I told my dog and we both laughed. 8. My body has absorbed so much soap and disinfectant lately that when I pee, it cleans the toilet. 9. I'm so excited it's time to take out the garbage. What should I wear? 10. I hope the weather is good tomorrow for my trip to "Puerto Backyarda" cos I'm getting real tired of "Los Livingroom" 11. Classified ad: Single man with toilet paper seeks woman with hand sanitizer for good clean fun 12. Better 6 feet apart than 6 feet under....!!
  10. This is about 10 days old, but... (no, I am NOT a fan of either not-so-Big Blue or THE!!!!! Ohio State University)
  11. How is Christmas like a defective alphabet? No L
  12. It most certainly IS airborne. Otherwise, there would be no need for filtering N-95 respirators (commonly incorrectly called "masks").
  13. Now might be the time to pull that full case trigger!
  14. That's from a Rodney Dangerfield bit.
  15. Quick and easy history opportunity is the National Museum of Bermuda right at the Royal Dockyard where you'll be docked. It is self guided and very informative. Cost is $15 for adults. (A quick check of the website https://nmb.bm/ indicates that it is currently closed to the public due to the Coronavirus) Haven't taken it but there is an Historic Forts of Bermuda excursion offered in the Cruise Planner. Seems like one to explore (I've been to a few of the forts individually). And if your interest in history includes the United States Civil War/The War Between the States/The War of Northern Aggression (pick your favorite descriptor), the Bermuda National Trust Museum in St. Georges is located in the building that was the headquarters for Confederate agents during the war and includes a permanent display related to blockade runners and the role played by Bermuda.
  16. Use the stick on the umbrella to drill a hole through the hot dog and use that as your straw.
  17. The best reason to watch the Winter Olympics!
  18. For us, an aft balcony is worth a 10% premium on the equivalent cabin somewhere else. Sadly, our Coronavirus-cancelled Grandeur trip this year was an aft JS. Not easy to come by.
  19. At most it should have been extended by the length of time that the "official panic" lasts.
  20. After the fact it may seem outrageous to you, but the fact is: You received an offer that you found acceptable and you took it. Royal Caribbean is honoring that offer and expects you to do the same. Nothing outrageous about it.
