Burgers are either very juicy or very greasy depending on one's perspective. As @twangsternoted, Carl's Jr. is a Western US version of the more familiar to me Hardee's. Hardee's breakfast is, to me, a significant improvement vs. what is available at chains like McDonald's and Burger King.

As you are doing now. There is no way to have a gathering WITHOUT there being a group. One person is neither a gathering nor a group. Two or more together in the same place is always a group and becomes a gathering if there is a specific reason for them to be together. CDC may not have used the word "group" but they did create a guidance that impacts what may be done by groups (or "group gatherings" if you will, but that phrase is needlessly redundant).

Being the hot chick had its advantages?

Guess that depends on your perspective. As a Florida resident, you probably don't think of that period as hot or humid. As someone who previously lived just south of Lake Michigan - it qualifies.

So, in other words, the same as any time of year.

Question regarding legal drinking age on RCL shore excursions
HeWhoWaits replied to Ian T's topic in Shore Excursions
Which is why we planned a family cruise to depart a few days AFTER our son turned 21 rather than the week that included both his birthday and our anniversary (he was born on our 4th anniversary). -
Question regarding on board spending account
HeWhoWaits replied to Ian T's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Putting down cash at Guest Services is probably your easiest path. Another option is to inform them that you intend to pay a portion of their onboard spending and then pay the amount they use or your intended maximum at Guest Services a couple days prior to the end of the cruise (DO NOT wait until the last night as you'll waste time in line that can be better used enjoying the final night of the cruise). -
If they don't take that one, how about Live Blog of the Seas?

And who would destroy good crab cakes by using tartar sauce?

The cruise has the advantage of Adventure Ocean - you won't be responsible for 100% of their entertainment, so you'll have a chance to relax (whether that's reading on your balcony, sleeping, strolling around the ship, or taking full advantage of your drink package).

Would this make Alaskan cruises legal?
HeWhoWaits replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We took an Alaska cruise that departed from and returned to Seattle. Victoria, BC was one of the ports of call. The 7 night round trip cruises could still operate out of Seattle with a "touch and go" stop in Victoria, but the northbound or southbound trips would have to be made longer to add such a stop (those are the ones that depart from or return to Vancouver). -
One factor may be that it's much easier to escort a non-compliant guest off of Disney property than it is to remove a non-compliant passenger from a ship at sea.

I wondered about that distant sound of wailing and gnashing of teeth this morning.

Royal Caribbean to require crew to be vaccinated
HeWhoWaits replied to Mike.s's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
In the US, at present about 1/3 of 1% of the population has been vaccinated in the first month of availability. If the availability and rate of vaccination improves tenfold that still only equals 3% of the population receiving the vaccine per month. Assuming that only 75% of the population WANTS to be vaccinated, that's still two years until all who opt to be (partially) protected can do so. Of course, that also assumes this is found to be a "once in your life and you're protected forever" vaccine. In order for "most of us" to be vaccinated by the end of the year, the availability and vaccination rate will have to increase greater than twenty fold (assuming that increase could happen immediately). So-called "herd immunity" resulting from the vaccine(s) is still a long way off. -
Royal Caribbean to require crew to be vaccinated
HeWhoWaits replied to Mike.s's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
Not necessarily. While some people report feeling very badly after getting the second dose, others (anecdotal evidence here as I am reciting what older friends have experienced) say they didn't have any ill effects from the second dose. -

Kudos to the system for having this policy. Almost nothing irks me more than driving by the hospital and seeing dozens of doctors and nurses smoking. Does the employment condition also include no use of smokeless tobacco? That could also create a nicotine positive. -

As @Cruisin4ABruisin points out, the employer requiring vaccination is not a violation of the individual rights of their employees. Each employee has the RIGHT to choose - Do I want to get the vaccine and keep my job? Or do I want to skip the vaccine and leave my job? Free will. -
Royal Caribbean to require crew to be vaccinated
HeWhoWaits replied to Mike.s's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I think @monctonguyis saying that the lack of need for quarantine only applies if exposed during the first three months after vaccination. Yes, that would be everyone vaccinated to date but by mid-April, the first folks vaccinated would no longer be exempt from quarantine following exposure. -

But many more millions are months and months away from our "turn" to get the vaccine.
